This is the best version I’ve found of this song so far!!! It’s hard finding rock and metal songs for the uku that also have a pretty accurate strumming pattern to go with it so thank you!!! Definitely subbed and looking forward to more videos from your channel! 🤗
sure thing Mason, here it is ruclips.net/video/BxaQpZT675s/видео.html (there used to be a link in the video but RUclips killed those old links, I'll try and fix it!)
Your tutorials are great, and you're the only person I've found with tuts for metal songs, so thank you!!! Would you be willing to post a lesson for Slipknot (The Devil in I) or maybe Opeth (Will o' the Wisp)?
thanks coasterfreak729! yeah, bar chords are tricky. some tips: (1) turn your left-hand index finger (when holding down the bar) a little towards the left (towards the tuning pegs) as this uses more of the side of your finger which can be a bit straighter (2) make sure your thumb is directly behind your index finger to allow a good squeeze (3) practice playing along to the original with the youtube speed set to 50% or 75% and aim for a good sound, this will build a 'muscle memory' so that after a few days you can play at full speed with your eyes closed!
@@ananyapanda._ yes the notes and tuning are the same on soprano/concert/tenor - just different sized uke. if possible I recommend going to a music shop and trying a few sizes out to see which one works for you (it's a bit like Harry Potter choosing a wand =) ) here's a link to some more info: www.beginnerukuleles.com/concert-vs-tenor-ukulele/ hope this helps, Dave
Is there any trick to the c minor? I just for the life of mine can’t get a grip on it, literally; it‘s just too hard to keep pressing on all the strings and using the third finger on the last one at the same time, I always let loose on the bar part :(
thanks that's a very good question, I find bars tricky too (always getting thrown out of them ;) heh, seriously my tips are 1. support the bar by squeezing the neck with your thumb directly behind the bar. 2. relax the wrist down 3. practice bars every day to improve your grip, hope this helps!
@@ukecando hahaha! I stared at your comment for like a full 20 seconds before I got the bar joke, then laughed out loudly so peope on the street looked confused at me! Thank you! :) I have another short question: When I let go of a string, it makes an extra sound (especially like at the variations of the intro it sounds misplaced), do..ukuleles just do that?
Subscribed!!! 😊. Could you teach how to find chords for any songs, I want to play my folk songs but I don't know how to find right chords and strumming pattern. Thanks in advance
RaLe1617 thanks! To find chords I normally go to Google and search for the 'song name' chords e.g. SOAD toxicity chords. Can also search for tab instead of chords if it's a guitar song. For the strumming pattern its normally trial and error after listening to the rhythm, I'm curious - what's the name of a song you'd like to learn?

sorry to hear that Kalopsiqq, can I ask what size ukulele you have? (I find a tenor easiest to play as they are closer to guitar size than the smaller soprano size)
thanks for the suggestion, I've been a bit busy recently but here's a tutorial I found on youtube, hope this helps: ruclips.net/video/Y4aX6JOW1vk/видео.html
Thank you man for this man. I pinned it down in 2 hours or so, such is your tutorial. Can you help me out with the outro solo. It mostly is on powerchords in the guitar. At 2:43 in the original song. If you can, it will be helpful for me.
Hi Anutam, awesome work - very happy this helped :) As you say I think the outro reuses the Cm G# G powerchords (kind of faster) and picks out a riff on the 3rd (C) string something like 0 0 0-0-0 3 2 - hope this helps
How come the notes you play on this with ukulele is different from the notation from the guitar? From what I am aware of with the guitar it is tuned to a D standard with Drop C. So when I tried to play it on the Ukulele I followed the same notation that is with guitar. But this one it seems like you are playing a step down and out of key.
Hi Mike, the way I think of it is that the highest 4 guitar strings (E,B,G,D) at fret 5 are the same as the ukulele (A,E,C,G). So you can play uke songs on guitar if you add 5 frets. For example, if you see uke tab for the first string fret 3, this is the same as the guitar first string fret 3+5 = 8. If you whack a capo on the 5th fret of your guitar (or improvise with a pencil and some rubber bands) you can easily play uke tab on your guitar! Hope this helps.
hiya, yes I was lucky in that I was also attempting to learn this song on a drum kit (after watching some drum tutorials) , then I tried to transfer it to uke as well as I could. My suggestion is to try slowing down this video to 50% playback and see if that helps to learn it, good luck!
Hi, I normally use Aquila Nylgut strings with a low G, something like this www.stringsdirect.co.uk/products/aquila-15u-nylgut-tenor-ukulele-strings-c-tuning-w-wound-low-g?_pos=1&_sid=0a2a15f30&_ss=r
Thanks for commenting, it's a Fishman preamp and tuner, it connects to a couple of pickups stuck inside my uke and lets me plug into an amplifier. I don't really recommend this model as it eats 9v batteries!
don't give up sakitsu, you can do it if you practise a little every day =) if it helps I have a beginners ukulele video here playing 'When the saints go marching in' ruclips.net/video/J1n6drMyBwk/видео.html
Hahaha on the very first note I’m out. I can’t do a C-minor and I have been playing on my uke for 18 month now. So that one I’m never gonna learn. Oh well..
Hey Antonio, it's never too late to learn! Is the challenge with the bar chords? (They are tricky) if so maybe try starting with barring the top two strings only with your first finger, turning your wrist a little to the left (to help use the side of your finger) and squeeze with the thumb behind the neck of the uke. Hope this helps :)
Excellent cover and very helpful dude. However the first thought that came to my mind was damm his hands are way to big in proportion to his body, then I understood it's the camera angle. And now I know how porn is shot😂😂
@@itsjustwubbadubb6862 no, it's a tenor uke with a low G string. I found that if you don't have a low G string you can use the 4th string (D) from an acoustic guitar. What tuning/uke do you prefer?
