The same moves that made him struggle in the NFL, are now moves slot receivers have success with now. Ahead of his time, he would be a monster if he played now.
The best collegiate wr player I've ever witnessed ! His moves were so agile and his vision for the game was like no other . He knew where to expose the defender with a quick shake and then fool you going the opposite direction on a stop of a DIME !
Got a chance to play against him in a Flag game in GA Dude was crazy with the Juke moves and this was after he left Pro Football still had them moves gave us hell plus he did it against some current college players which made it even more exciting
That wouldn't be fair ....would it ? I still pop in my dvd time to time just to relive the Sugar Bowl moment . He was definitely Heisman but it was unfortunate
There wouldn't be no words to describe what would've happened after that decision was made. The funny thing is he was a big ND fan(of all teams) and could've possibly ended up their, too.
Hey, he was playing with Lavernious Coles as a wideout at FSU. They were a damn good duo. Coles' success with the Jets just proves what a difference a team makes.
TheDrRJP Indeed, however as good as Coles was Moss was on another planet talent wise. Randy was the greatest receiver of this era and only Jerry Rice was better in my opinion.
My top 6 Elusive Players All-time, Peter Warrick, Dante Hall, Reggie Bush, Barry Sanders, Devin Hester and arguably one of the most forgotten under appreciated players ever Brian WestBrook
+Gerald Merritt Warrick Dunn = elusive than Peter Warrick. David Palmer (Alabama Crimson Tides) is the most elusive player in college football history.
Im still modeling my dynasty athlete after his specs since Ps1 to Xbox360 these days the next gen consoles will make these amazing if it ever comes to the forefront I’m sorry but used to nerd out to these unbelievable athletes on NCAA College Football series.
That was my dude back in the day. Loved watching him play. Thought he would be the ish in the NFL. But much like Reggie Bush, he didn't turn out to be nearly as spectacular in the pros as he was in college. Very nice that you began and closed the video with Peter's 2 best moments in the NFL. That punt return and the long TD catch both happened in the 4th quarter of the CIN vs KC game. KC was undefeated at 9 - 0 coming into that game. But Peter's heroics ended the undefeated streak.
Not only the most elusive CF Player EVER but the greatest Seminole EVER. There were some greats but P-Dub is the greatest Nole EVER. That '99 National Championship game was the best game of his Collegiate career...he was a beast in that game from start to finish, if the ball touched his hands NO matter where it was he brought it in. *Ron Dane should be uncomfortable & ashamed holding a Heisman trophy hostage that he knows he did not earn. Everybody knows that's Peter Warrick's Heisman!!!
I remember dialing up on my 56k internet, click on a video, have it buffer for about a minute just to watch a 30 second highlight clip of Peter Warrick return a punt for a touchdown.
My favorite college player .Pdub had a great vision for the game ! Probably my fav warrick clip on youtube . Thanks for sharing and making this clip UserPickForSix ! Awesome job
This dude was exciting, one of my favorite college players ever. He was the reason I became a Noles fan( I didn't get to see Deion play or Derrick Brooks).
As a Noles fan, I am just LOVING this video. This reminds me of the days when Peter Warrick was breaking ankles at FSU. I was REALLY surprised his pro career was virtually nothing because he has so much flair as a collegiate. Its kind of funny that Laveranues Coles, Javon Walker, and Anquan Boldin had less talent coming out of FSU, but they had WAAAAY better careers than Peter Warrick. It just goes to show that you just never know..........
Warrick was too early for the modern pass happy NFL. Had he went to a team that had a decent QB and talent he would have excelled. Let us not forget that he was drafted in the first round by the Cincinnati Bengals who have a history of making mistakes. I also think a more NFL ready Chad Johnson made Warrick expendable.
@@rhideflory He was not bad on other teams. He was not meant to be the focal point of any NFL offense. Hes a special teams ace at best and a #2 or slot WR.
STRiZZY It may have been a shitty team, but that is not the reason he sucked. Chad was drafted 1 year after Peter and he did well on the team. Peter just could not go North/South. He tried doing the stupid juking in the NFL where the players were no longer North Carolina LBers, but fast NFL players. His juke sucked, he would run backwards and get tackled for losses every time. He was garbage. Luckily the year after Peter, the Bengals drafted Chad and TJ and they actually were competent WRs.
chad johnson Warrick did not suck. He had a season catching 79 passes for 7 tds then he got hurt the following year. At the end of the day his career and Chad's are both failures
He naturally understood something about the direction people run and the angle you have to change to to make them miss you, and his body could execute it.
Wow! I remember seeing that run at 2:23 with my older brother when i was just a little kid and thinking it was the most impressive thing ever. I wasn't even that in to football at the time. Little did I know I was watching a guy that did this every week. Kinda awesome that I came across it after all these years.
the subtitle is dead on..my son always ask "who was the most exciting college player ive ever seen or went played against..i dont know if theres ever been someone so exciting in college fball, maybe reggie bush, or maybe you gotta go back to barry sanders, or gayle sayers..i mean this dude was insane & i dont think we'll ever see someone w/ the same skill set..simply magical
I Remember when, he was snubbed the Heisman Trophy. I realized what happened in the mall but Jameis Winston did worst. Baker of Oklahoma did worst. Bosworth did worst. (Steriods) Warrick accepted clothes that were discounted by an employee in the mall. What college student would turn that down.
Florida State was such a power in those days. Warrick was Bush before bush. Miss those old FSU days, growing up a huge Deion Sanders fan as a kid I loved every player that came through FSU to the NFL...Warrick Dunn especially, but Peter Warrick was a true Beast. Javon Walker was nice too..
Peter Warrick was The ORIGINAL Tavon Austin! This dude was so quick and shifty, it was ridiculous! It really sucks though that he didn't have a great NFL career due to injury.
Great video, shiftiest player i've ever seen up there with Desean Jackson and Tavon Austin love the song, fits the video and his style perfectly. UserPickForSix
Remember watching him when I was in 2nd grade. And i'm a gator fan. Kid was amazing. He balled out in the national championship too. When Percy Harvin came along i thanked the lord for sending the Gators a Peter Warrick clone.
I will tell you how great Warrick was! I am a Miami Hurricanes supporter since the 70's so you you know I hate FSU with every fiber of my being! I actually bought a Warrick jersey, the kid was special! I kept it as a collector's piece but sadly lost it in a flood.
Probably the best college player in history to not win the Heisman. This guy was just unbelievable
He would THRIVE in today’s game in the slot and just the overall way with which they scheme for receivers. Dude is a legend in my opinion.
@Alexandro Maldonado ...
@alexandromaldonadoigdromal8261 dude stop it that's the problem he wasn't fast
@alexandromaldonadoigdromal8261He ran like a 4.6 or 4.7 lol.

Thats crazy bro. I know what you mean
not true
Man, I just noticed that!!!
98 and 99 Peter Warrick at Florida St was an absolute beast. He had a huge game to bring home the National Championship that year.

U Had to watch pdub inperson game action....
Warrick was born to early, the way the nfl is now, perfect slot receiver
I remember watching him as a kid and then trying to emulate his cuts and moves, absolute legend
did u blowout both ACL’s??😂
The best reciever in space in the last 25 years, and i still haven't seen one better.

Barry was a rb dumb ass
but Barry was not a receiver dip shit!!!! he played rb
It takes a special kind of dumb to fail at reading a sentence not once but twice. No shit Barry was a RB dumb fuck.
