That moment when rescued animals realize they're free again and jump or fly off into a new chance at life is just priceless. It never fails to leave me blurry-eyed. Your team does such awesome work. Thanks again! 😊
The way the fox behaved for you is exactly my cat’s strategy at the vet. Go limp, look adorable, and hope the horribly terrifying thing that has captured you will have mercy or lose interest. Poor scared thing! Glad it was such an easy fix and a quick release!
I had a feral-born cat who was like that. The vets would compliment how well behaved he was, but he was actually terrified. One time he had a sore patch and he wouldn't even let me close to the area to inspect, fought like a mad thing, so off to the vet we went. For the vet he sits still as a statue and lets them poke and prod and shave and everything. Harrumph! (he had been bitten, it healed fast once he got drained and antibioticed)
"Those humans put me in a box, carried me away, *blinded* me... and then took that string off me and _scratched my itchy spot_ and took me back!! I'll never understand them!"
What a relief that it wasn't barbed wire. Fox seemed very cooperative and not too stressed. That was a gentler rescue and release. Well done guys! Happy life for Fox!
Good thing! I was definitely expecting it to be so much worse and more complex than just this one sling that could be easily cut with scissors! Love a good happy fox!
Little Fox was harmless and looked friendly. He is very young and for this little curious fox the contact and the stay with you was certainly one of his first real adventures that he will remember in the future. Nevertheless, he was happy when he was free again. Thank you very much for helping him. Much greetings from Germany 🤗
wow, such a beautiful & calm fox!! Good that is wasn´t barbed wire and that he had no injuries!! Nice rescue and quick release for this sweet fox!! Amazing!! Thank u all so much!!
What a cooperative sweetheart. 🦊 Definitely been used to humans for a while. Nervous and a little scared, but very willing to allow its rescuers to work~ I of course wouldn't chance it, but I'm almost certain that a muzzle wouldn't have been necessary for this particular patient. Marvelous job! ❤️
That fox was more calm around humans than most pets I've seen! I've always liked foxes, but you and a couple of other sites have brought me to even more fondness. Thanks for all you do!
Bloody brilliant I’m so pleased that the Fox is alright and he’s going back home good on you for helping him they need all the help that they can get Bless them I think foxes are beautiful I feel about nine of them on a nighttime do it every night wherever on whether maybe I love watching them I’ve been doing it for about nine years now a lot of people think they’re vermin but I don’t I think they’re just beautiful creatures and it’s nice to have a bit of a wild around you
I cant understant why we find constatly all over the UK all those horrendous barbed wires and all these nets in a majority of ponds, and lakes, and rivers and also nets in many house's gardens, across your country, who kill and constantly injure all these wonderful animals. You are so lucky to have all this magnificent variety of wild animals. It breaks my heart watching this. Only one culprit once again, the human being. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your great work and dedication. Thanks Simon and all the vet team and volunteers for your magnificent work and dedication. Best regards from France.
Netting - the bane of wild animals on land and in the water! Glad to see that fox wasn't cut by the tangle. Special thanks to the member of public cared to call and quick action by WAF to get that foxy help.
Very lucky fox getting that stuff cut off of it before it had a chance to get embedded in the skin. And probably quite happy to get right back home. Good work!
I just finished watching an OCN video and here it goes again, another entanglement 😭. The amount of damage we humans are causing to these animals is utterly shameful!
Never thought to see a neck entanglement on this channel, that's more likely at OCN's especially from fishing lines. But, I guess rubbish is everywhere. Glad the fox was fine and could be released so quickly! Once again, thank you WildLife Aid!
We have lots of cases where animals have become stuck in netting. We had an instance just a few days ago where another fox had tennis netting around its neck and it was extremely tight. It's currently undergoing rehabilitation.
One one hand, great that no serious injuries (to the fox OR Simon). But the fact it is human-acclimated is not a good thing. But people will be people I guess. Always fun to see them zoom away on release :)
We do find quite a few animals have become used to human interaction. We encourage against feeding as this is the result and can cause more harm than good in the long run
I LOVED seeing all those "pigeon" mentions! Could you do some more videos of their recovery process? They're such intelligent creatures; they're a joy to work with and always teach something new. (When they get bored, they can set themselves flying-related challenges to beat the boredom. They're master flyers.) I've done a few: - Got locked up and dehydrated, tried to commit suicide in rush hour traffic but kept trying to fly away - so I stopped traffic and took it home; stayed 9 days and really wanted out, lol - Got into a supermarket in a kind of odd way; stayed overnight to make sure it was okay (yes) - Got really ill and could no longer fly; took a long time but recovered marvellously (with a few rounds of meds to combat an infection that had gotten into infraorbital sinus) - Got attacked by a human and needed rest, food and safety; open wound in its neck, took 7 to 10 days for it to recover enough, while mate kept stopping by to check (bird deliberately came to me for help) - Youngster wood pigeon flew into a Debenhams window; passed away quickly after, doa - Fell ill in cold winter, passed away overnight, but at least in relative safety (bird recognised me; they know who the friendly humans in the neighbourhood are) - Lost half its feathers, had roundworm infection (which thankfully revealed itself clearly after a day or so) and has a malformed beak, likely due to have crashed into a window or something like that a long time ago (shows rare signs of what looks like some very minor neurological damage), took a long time to get its plumage back and decided that this indeed is home now, recovered very well (with meds) and lays eggs without any problems End of story for now
Glad the little one was caught before that stuff around the neck could become an issue. Thankfully it hadn't been on long enough to cut into the skin, but I would hate to think of that happening or it getting stuck on something and wind up hanging itself because the stuff around the neck got caught.
Very docile, well mannered fox, I don't think he would have even tried biting without the muzzle on. Seemed like he didn't even want to leave the table.
Cool, how often do you have such friendly and co-operative foxes? 😉 Did you ever have contact with the Ocean Conservation Center in Namibia? They take care of seals that have nets and fishing lines around their necks. All human made dangers for wildlife. 😳
I love what you Guys do... It is just a shame that you have too... We do so much unnecessary harm to the wildlife... I wish I had Money to help... :-)) xx
Yeah he was coming when you were took him out of their cage and got that off of his neck it's come through all that although that Mexican muzzle helped but once you released him he took out of that cage like a shot and didn't even look back but he knows you were helping him I believe he did God bless
The fox knew people and not in a bad way or it would have defended itself. It just never works out well for wildlife does it? Little Red was lucky there exists a Simon.... :)
We've got some mythical foxes' here in Tasmania that have costed Millions of $? no ones ever seen one, but apparently the experts said they found some "fox" shite.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤢🤢🤢

Haha! That is often the case! Whilst we do love a feisty fox, these ones are a lot easier to handle!
I had a feral-born cat who was like that. The vets would compliment how well behaved he was, but he was actually terrified.

Same here! My cats turn into Godzilla when I try to put them in the carrier only to be the sweetest pets ever at the vet.
"Those humans put me in a box, carried me away, *blinded* me... and then took that string off me and _scratched my itchy spot_ and took me back!! I'll never understand them!"
'Reynard'... how many people noticed?
Haha! We do often wonder what they think!
@@GiacomodellaSvezia I am named after a French fox, you betcha.
"Thanks! I promise not to go through your bins at midnight! ... Wheeee, I'm off! Had my paws crossed!"
What a good patient!
He certainly was! :)
🦊 Another great job done by Wildlife Aid rescuers.

It was definitely a relief! Thanks so much for the support!

Good thing! I was definitely expecting it to be so much worse and more complex than just this one sling that could be easily cut with scissors! Love a good happy fox!
We were expecting it to be much worse too, so you can imagine our happiness when it was freed with just one cut
Beautiful rescue release ! And what a gorgeous fox .
Thank to the MOP and the team,
Hugs the the whole WAF team.

I love how eager they are to hang around and say thank you.
Haha very true! They want nothing to do with us after that!
Thanks Wildlife Aid team 👍
For a calm fox, he took off quick
Thank you! There was definitely no hanging about!
I am sure that fox thought he was coming in for bed & breakfast and was most disappointed 😂😂
Haha! We're sorry to disappoint!
Always amazes me how docile some of these foxes are and I can understand how people can be easily bit by them.
Thank you
Thanks for the support!
wow, such a beautiful & calm fox!! Good that is wasn´t barbed wire and that he had no injuries!! Nice rescue and quick release for this sweet fox!! Amazing!! Thank u all so much!!
We were so glad that it wasn't barbed wire and it could easily be removed, some aren't so lucky. Thank you for your kind words of support
Thanks, for your kindness. GOD see's all the good your doing for these animals. The world is a better place with people like you in it.
Kudos to the nice lady who called! Also, what a nice feeling to see nothing is really wrong with an animal.

There are loads of videos on this channel of animals with things stuck around their necks. It seems to be a very common problem.
I thought of the seal entanglements as well; I was expecting a gash injury from the net being tightened and thankfully that wasn't the case!

Great work and a great rescue!

Sweet foxy!
Pretty lucky catching the right fox, and it wasnt immediately serious to it :)
Yes the lady was very careful to get the right fox
Always good to see a quick rescue-release x love foxes!! well done all :-)

Thanks so much :)
that fo x has been getting fed a lot - lol - so calm.
Good thing the fox was cought! Might have been no big deal when took off so soon but in time it could have started strangling the poor fox!
You are correct, we are just very lucky that the lady spotted it so early!
Very well behaved fox!
You never fail to make my day :)
Thank you so much, that's so kind of you to say :)

Great. I managed to confuse myself.
Time to sleep ^^
Job well done. Release in a hour just love it.
This is certainly one of the fastest rescue releases :)
Her speed finding freedom made me grin so hard my face almost cracked. 😉
So glad the entanglement didn’t cause serious cuts to foxie. Rescue releases are wonderful!
Thank you! They are definitely the best type of rescue!
I think the fox just did it on purpose. It just wanted to be on an Wildlife Aid episode and meet Simon. :)
Haha!
Glad the little one was caught before that stuff around the neck could become an issue. Thankfully it hadn't been on long enough to cut into the skin, but I would hate to think of that happening or it getting stuck on something and wind up hanging itself because the stuff around the neck got caught.

Fantastic job!
Do those muzzles go that way up?
Thanks so much! The muzzles are meant to be used the other way round, but we do it this way as it covers the eyes and keeps the animal calmer :)
@@wildlifeaid that makes sense. They look easier to get out of though. I wish I lived there; i could sew you an eye cover onto them
With all these football nets and garden netting... the island must be like a land of nooses for the animals.
We do see many cases like this but much worse. This fox had a very lucky escape!
Poor baby that was awful happy to see her eating and up
Fantastic 😉
The foxy is so docile...
Poor baby, lucky it wasn't a constriction injury. Netting is just horrible.
It was very lucky! Netting is so bad for animals :(
I was wondering if it was possible that someone was keeping the fox as a pet? That could explain why it had a loose rope around its neck.
Not the feistiest of foxes ... Seems like they got quite accustomed to our living environment. Great rescue once again!
Very docile, well mannered fox, I don't think he would have even tried biting without the muzzle on. Seemed like he didn't even want to leave the table.
He was extremely well behaved, un like some of the other foxes we see ;)

Foxes are so fun, grabbed by the scruff they seem to think "Mommy you got me" and as soon they are released "Now who can I bite?"
That seems oddly accurate!
Here we save foxes, but in other areas they are hunted. Ironic!
They must sell more netting in England than the rest of the world combined.
Just watched the OCN guys free a seal from some rope. Too easy to get tangled?
The fox knew people and not in a bad way or it would have defended itself. It just never works out well for wildlife does it? Little Red was lucky there exists a Simon.... :)

floofy tail
Sure looks like they put the muzzle on upside down. Hmmm. Training required when working with these complicated fox things. HA.
That is intentional. Using the muzzle upside down covers the eyes as well and keeps the animal calmer :)
