Poor baby! I can't even begin to imagine the sheer terror that she must have gone through. And other animals that get caught up in this kind of netting or other hazards. Thankfully this little girl was spotted and freed, though she looks to be in some rough shape. As unfriendly as it is, I imagine you would rather see the cub full of sass and trying to bite than just laying there having given up. Hopefully she will be able to heal and be released when she's old and strong enough to be wild.
Such a simple prevention, and yet the consequences of not doing doing it are so dire. This poor little one is now in the best of care. Thankyou for rescuing this lovely cub. I hope she recovers well.
@@Tanks_In_Space Hmm good point. But some people freeze instead of taking action unfortunately. He was probably afraid. Wish he had acted differently too.
I know this would take funding...:( but wish they (? community boards, schools? citizens groups, rescue groups) would put up warnings about these nets and the cruel damage this does to wildlife. Glad WAF is there!!!!!!!!
Poor fox baby. That must have been so frightening not to mention painful. It’s bad enough when it’s an adult animal, but a baby makes it even worse. I hope that the baby will be 100% once rested and cared for.
She's so pretty! I hope she heals up alright. She is in the very best of hands. Good job Abby cutting that final bit of netting off and filming at the same time.
This netting is such a danger for these poor little animals. Please tie them up when not in use or avoid if you can. Imagine if this little cub had not been noticed, it doesn't bear thinking about. 😞😞
Maybe if nets were made out of thicker, slightly stiffer rope it might be possible to create nets that were not such a hazard for wildlife. That way it would not depend on their owners knowing to keep them in a safe condition when not being used.
Thank god you were there for this cub, great rescue Simon you are a brilliant man with a good heart. Netting really grips my **** so easy like you say to put it up out of harms way or just take it down when finished then this could so easily be avoided. Let’s hope the little one makes a good recovery as that swelling looked awful 😔😔😔🦊🦊🦊👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️
Another job well done .There really needs to be a sign at ever place ...This video has done me good since have been upset my a "nature lover know all" who wants to see a massive cull throughout UK on Deer .I think you can imagine my response .Many humans take so much and minus consideration for wild life which has just as much right . Sorry , you know this .Please keep us updated on this lovely baby fox..👍🦊
I grew up in rural Wiltshire 40 years ago and football nets were always rolled up after play at school and home for just this reason. Mind you, even though we were drilled with the rules of the countryside from a very early age our school would occasionally be invaded by sheep because someone left a gate open.
We have some great news about this poor boy! If you wanted to see part two, please see our follow-up here! ruclips.net/video/kQAMA6TdnxM/видео.html

Poor fox cup. The nets are so horrendous.
fox CUP? 😂☕

They certainly are! Sadly, netting is one of our most common callouts :(

Companies who make them should have it in their 'how to erect' leaflets too.
Your statement gave a real laugh I don't think Foxes can read LOL
Live in a huge city with parks and playgrounds and have never seen a football net with netting

Mr Simon, I give you a lot of respect
Thank you so much :)
What a beautiful little thing.

Fruit netting, Goal netting, fishing lines and hooks! No wonder you are kept so busy team! XXX
Netting is certainly one of our most common issues! :(

I can't imagine the pain of constriction wounds.. It's hard to even watch.

Bloody nets should be rolled up onto goals posts when not in use
Absolutely!
Maybe if nets were made out of thicker, slightly stiffer rope it might be possible to create nets that were not such a hazard for wildlife. That way it would not depend on their owners knowing to keep them in a safe condition when not being used.
Dont even need nets, just use 2 schoolbags as goal posts like they did in my school lol
Fantastic advice!
Bloody animals should stay in the woods.
