Thank you this helped me but I found out that you don’t need to set up fast tv in the tv settings. When I enabled fast tv my tv volume was muted, so I disabled it and simply linked my roku account in the google home app and it still worked.

No you're not able to get that granular. But that you can do with the Roku App... Download it from the Google or Apple store... No you can launch CNN with Google home, what you can watch depends on your cable subscription.
I can use all commands except to power on/off. Fast tv is enabled but no longer can command power on/off. I have checked software, did update.... did system restart. un-checked and rechecked Fast tv but no luck. Google assistant only beeps as it receives the comand, but TV did not comply. Suggestions???

I got roku TV hooked to the Google assistant with no problem at all. Then I discovered that I could turn the TV off, turn the volume up and down but no matter what I do I can’t get it to change channels even using the same wording that you used and I can’t get it to turn on if it’s off. I bought the same TV and assistant for an elderly relative and I can actually turn her TV off using routines from my house I can turn the volume up and down from my house a mile away. I can remind her to take her medicine, lock door at night but can’t turn it on or change the channels. Help please😩

How does your CNN go start streaming by itself? When I say hey google launch CNN go, it launches but just hangs on the live tv menu. I have to use the remote to scroll down then click ok on the main USA CNN then it starts streaming.

You don't need to have the speaker. The equivalent happens in the roku remote controls for the TVs now Talk to your phone or remote a speaker is speaker

It sounds like you're being asked to update your Roku TV software... If you followed my video I did state that you needed to ensure your Roku was running a particular version. I did also show how to check if that's the case.
Not 100% happy with Google Assistant for my Roku TCL. I downloaded the News 12 app directly from the TV and when I say " Launch News12 on Roku TV" she says " Sorry Im still learning" or " I don't know how to help with that". I also have a Firestick connected to "Streaming Box" on Roku TV and she wont open that either.
Not all the apps available offer Google compatibility unfortunately, nor is there a list of apps that are... You just have to keep checking. A few have been updated and more will be added
@@JamaicaSocial I figured out how to open "Streaming Box" you have to say "Launch HDMI 1 or 2" depending on which HDMI port you're using for your device i.e. Firestick or Bluray player News12 still nothing. Thanks for responding

How do you get CNNGo to launch video automatically. All I get is the 3 cnn channel choices and I have to physically press down and ok to actually start.
You can launch CNN via the voice remote or via Google home by saying "Launch CNN go"... Regarding launching the LIVE feed you can go into the CNN app settings and set it to go to LIVE feed... Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe for more

I have a Roku Ultra. I can't find the setting for Power let alone the "Fast TV Start" in Roku OS 9.1. Any thoughts?

If you followed all my directions and it doesnt work... Consider disconnecting and reconnecting

Go into the CNN app settings
Unfortunately the settings section does not address my issue.
