- Honey Bun Cake Recipe:
1 box yellow cake mix
3/4 c oil
1 c sour cream
4 eggs
Mix the above ingredients until well combined.
In a separate bowl mix together:
1 c brown sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
Pour half of the cake batter into a a 11x9 pan, top with half of sugar mixture then half of cake batter and then top with remaining sugar mixture. Swirl with a knife. ***What I would do different next time: With the sugar mixture being on top it was crunchy. Now Chris liked it that way, but next time I will pour all of the sugar mixture over the 1st half of cake batter and then top with with cake batter (being on top) and then swirl.
Bake at 325 degrees fahrenheit for 45-50 mins.
Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
6 tbs of milk (I used 5)
1 tsp vanilla

Cathy we as women can relate lol i carry extra leggings crammed under my seat just in case..love the old pan i would leave all that love on it too i have never heard of that cake i will have to put it in the fall line up i am always looking for new ones have a blessed day

I'm sorry that happened to you. I was in the hospital once and my potassium had gone high so they gave me medication to "get rid" of it if you know what I'm saying. I was sick in the bed not able to get out and welllll. I had to have the nurse clean me up. I just kept telling her I was sorry and how embarrassed I was. She was like don't worry about it. Talk about mortified. Never Want to go through that again.

Hi Cathy! You sound just like me. I have to go to my liver doctor also 2 hours away, and my veins roll, and they have so much trouble getting my blood. I drink lots of water, but it still doesn't help. They have to get the blood out of my hand. I have PBC, but it's ok because my medication helps. I just had to tell you because it sounded like me 😊 That honey bun cake looks delicious 😋 Love watching your videos!
Hey! That's me, I have non alcoholic cirrhosis and my doctor is 2 hours away. My veins are awful. But my liver is doing great. I had an excellent report and now only have to go yearly instead of twice a year! Glad you are on a medicine that helps you ❤ prayers 🙏 for you and have a great day.
@cathyscountrylife I only have to go 1 time a year also now. PBC is non alcoholic disease, and thats what they diagnose me with. I don't drink any alcohol. 💕🙏

I would buy that pan also - imagine all the goodies that were made in it. I just love old stuff. I have polapsef bladder and constantly leak and frequently lose total control. Am currently trying third med hopefully to reduce the flow. Bladder tack not an option - I cannot afford copay. I go through 4-5 disposable panties per day. So I understtand the issues mentioned.
I just love old stuff too! My mother had prolapse bladder issues also. I hope it is not handed down to me.
The week or two before I went to the ER for the sciatica, I could not get to the bathroom on time. Kept happening and it was odd because I never had a problem before. In the ER they wanted a urine sample. Come to find out, I had a bladder infection. I had no idea because other than the loss of control, had no symptoms that there was something going on.
Antibiotics cured it and no problems since.
Btw.. I had an epidural of steroids this past Tuesday and my back is a bit better. Thank the good Lord. It’s been a long and hard 3 months
That'd crazy not having any symptoms of a bladder infection. They actually checked my urine that day and I guess I was infection free 😊. I am so glad your back is better, yay! Have a great weekend!
Oh my gosh, my worst nightmare. I am so afraid of that happening to me when I go out so I will not drink anything at all before and during the time I am out. I make sure my appointments are in the mornings just because of that. I would be sunk if I had to drink a bunch of water before hand. I sure feel for you. You handled it great, though! As for the Honey Bun cake, did the avocado oil hinder the taste? Everything I have made using avocado oil tastes like avocado oil to me. Sometimes I use applesauce in place of oil in cakes so I think I will try that when I make this cake. I would definitely not give that guy with the stroller any money upfront until you see it for yourself. Look at it this way, if you are meant to have it then you'll get it. If not, something better will come along.
Hey! I use avocado oil in everything. To me, it's a neutral oil without a strong flavor like olive oil. You may have stronger taste buds, lol 😆. That Dr. Appointment was 2 hours away and my poor bladder couldn't take it.. it came on fast. I'll know better next time. Have a great weekend!
