  • A look inside my fishing boat, a very simple but effective setup, this boat has caught a lot of fish in the past few years with minimal electronics, like the video to see more like this throughout the winter while we target big pike here in Ireland!

      @senanstanleyfishing ya water very high all over the place, some rain falling, just one question, do you stop the boat or keep moving when you have a fish on, I like to stop, but alot of lads I know, like to keep moving

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  10 месяцев назад +1

      @pauriccox2153 I always stop. It’s not right to drag a fish behind the boat, it could ruin their mouth. Especially with a bigger fish thrashing about, it’s just lazy to keep in forward. The first fish here hit the lure right beside the boat and was about 50cm so I didn’t feel the need stop, but in general, I always stop.

    Senan. I also have a wheeling 19 foot (standard not the 19 foot large) I run a 8 hp tohatsu long shaft and I find it has a max speed of about 13 kph circa 8 mph what speed are you getting out of your sheelin with the 8 hp Yamaha? I assume you engine is short shaft. Ps thanks for your youtube videos regards Leslie

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  10 месяцев назад

      Hi Leslie my top speed is 8/8.2 mph, yes mine is short shaft, it’s as slow as a funeral to get around the lake, but very quiet ☺️👍

    What fixed spool reel would you recommend for trolling as I’m not a big fan of the baitcaster/multipliers

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  10 месяцев назад

      A 4000 size fixed spool will do Pat no need for anything bigger, stick to braided line on it, 60-80lb braid is good 👍
