This live version is one of my favorites. Imagine coming to a concert with the band for the first time in 7 years, and then it all starts with this! And when you get both Magne and Pål on backing vocals, it can't get any better.
Wow - a lot of a-ha on one day! We are indeed spoilt! As someone has stated... their concert versions of songs are often rockier than the studio versions and we LOVED it.
Oh wow so many a-ha in one day, it's like a Christmas present. ❤🎶🤗 And may I notice how well your t-shirt matches the music video, what an interesting coincidence 😁 By the way, most of a-ha videos are high budget productions. A-ha is also known for their excellent music videos, lifelines and Forever Not Yours are some examples for it and of course Take On Me which is one of the best music videos ever
Blast from the past. I must have recommended this a hundred years ago! I first heard the "Black Dog" version on the CD single that I picked up while on holiday in Paris. I think I bought it on the Champs-Elysees so it was REALLY expensive. At the time the only reference point I had was the album version (which is longer than the single version you listened to) and this was dramatically different, with pure acoustic and electric instruments. But it's not just the instrumentation - the arrangement is great and your keen ear picked up on the descending chords in the second half of the verse. And it was the first song I ever saw them perform live - my first a-ha concert was the second night at Valhall (the one you watched was the first night). I could not believe it - I thought they'd be all "bleeps and "bloops".
Yaaaaay! Welcome back (to a-ha), Mike! You made my day! 😊 Three (multiple!) a-ha reactions in a single day after a long absence is indeed a wonderful Christmas present to me. Thank you! 🤗 And Happy Christmas to you.
Oh!!! What a great pleasure multiplied by three!!! You spoil us! 😁 Patience rewarded!!! 😇 I really like this live version of the Valhall concert; I find it superior to the studio version on all levels. And special mention to Pal and his superb guitar notes; I would have liked him to continue at the end of the song... 🥰🎶
Ok I’ll make a request 😁 I’d suggest reacting to the live versions of the sun always shines on tv and touchy from the live in South America. You will find it on RUclips. 90’s a-ha was the most rocking a-ha.
Three comments. Huh. Can't wait to comment. This was an interesting version. I haven't heard it before. Nice to see you picked up the guitar. It's things like this that make you special.
If you hear the live version of take on me with a good rock edge, it’s in this concert too, as well as Mary Ellen makes the moment count Analogue live in frognerparken has a rock edge too
Interesting fact: this song was covered by the Polish gothic rock band Closterkeller. Really good. You might want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/F7hIhvkB5hE/видео.html
Here are 2 suggestions from me: Sycamore Leaves, this version is particular: ruclips.net/video/iTjvvfv3R2o/видео.html A Kind of Christmas Card, Morten's solo song: ruclips.net/video/kZLTKGhF8Nc/видео.html

Their live performances often are rockier than the studio versions. They are a great live band.
Morten is known for being late to appointments, so they found it appropriate to leave him behind on the moon.
Good choice of T-shirt, by the way!
Better late than never I say!❤
@@BeckyFletcher-p9t Absolutely! 🤩

The space suits were the same suits worn by Tom hanks Kevin bacon and bill Paxton from the movie Apollo 13
They were a little small, so they rubbed at the shoulders. Then Pål came up with the wonderful idea of padding the shoulders with his son's nappies.

That’s cool!
😄😄😄
Very cool to see you play an acoustic version of the song!!! You definitely have a good musical ear! Very pleasant to listen to!
😊🥰🎶

Don't forget Scoundrel Days from the same concert. 😊
I LOVE reactions to this song! Thank you!
Yay! Finally! Enjoy!

When this came out it rocked my world! Catchy, different and baaaasse.
This gig was published on dvd and cd as 'A-ha live at Vallhall homecoming'. Unfortunately order of the songs was changed and there ar some cuts on it.
Best reaction video of 2023 ❤

Analogue live in frognerparken has a rock edge too
The album version is longer, the video version is the radio edit of the song.
This is not even the heaviest live version of this song, go and checkout the how can a sleep with your voice in my head live album version.
Espetacular! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
A different side of them!😊👍
Listen to Nrk concert in 1991 or live in South America: they are rock👍🏻
