    Phrozen is just adding now a cut on the toolhead to have color change poop like Bambu's because their test got purge tower that were so huuuge.
    Incredible because this kind of modification is not the kind you do only 3 months before the shipping. They should be in the phase of tuning the firmware
    Anyway a lots of warning signs makes me bake out.

    Thanks. The Arco looks very interesting and the kickstarter does give me fear of missing out, but it’s probably best for me to wait and see how it works out.

    With just a few days remaining before the end of their campaign, I'm seriously reconsidering my pledge.
    The single Z motor and lack of input shaper have me worried about their design choices. That said, we need more serious competitors to Bambu's closed ecosystem, particularly since they have no intention of producing an XL option everyone has been clamoring for until they've come up with additional advancements in addition to a bigger print volume.

      The only thing i want to accomplish with these videos is just warning people that they can wait for the reviews and don't need to have fomo if they are on the fence.
      They are doing very poor imo on the campaign and i don't want people to be disappointed because of fanboys and empty promises.
      That being said i hope they deliver for the reasons you stated.
      Competition is rising and in the next months we will see more printers with ams like anycubic and creality is teasing right now 🤞🤞

    I would like to add that they have mentioned that you can email them for a refund all the way up until they start shipping the units. I am going to confirm this with them since it was kind of mentioned in passing, so they might say it was miscommunication. I think i might stay with the arco, still 620 bucks cheaper than x1c for me.

      @NoizieWorks unfortunately this is their response;
      "Hi, The amount of money that users pledge through Kickstarter does not went to the companies' bank account directly, and by the design of the Kickstarter, pledging a campaign is considered to be backing up a project and getting rewards (whether it is the exact product or not), rather than purchasing the product directly. Since those differences, I'm sorry to say that getting the pledge refund either by going through the Kickstarter system, or other financial system are not available after the end of campaign."

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 месяца назад

      @g0d0fninjas90 just what i thought, back it at your own discretion. The campaign also seems to be down 200k not that it's abnormal for a kickstarter but still. There is a lot of competition around the corner. Anycubic is teasing new printer with ams... now everybody is making there own ams 😆 it's time for plug and play open source ams systems!

      @@NoizieWorks To be honest I think i'll continue backing. I'm not in a situation to risk this much money but I believe they will deliver.
      I don't really care all too much if the quality isn't as good as bambu, I'm technically getting it for 600 bucks cheaper and most stuff I print will get sanded down anyway. The main reason I wanted it was the 300mm^3 build plate.
      Plus I'm kind of going to use the chroma kit as a glorified dryer 😅, won't be using multi-colour much.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 месяца назад

      @g0d0fninjas90 yup, ks price is a great deal btw the chroma kit is desiccant only no real moisture extraction so you have to dry them first and then put it in the chroma.

    Do you think the newly announced Creality K2 plus is showing more promise than the Phrozen Arco ?

      Right now from the very limited things i can see yes. It looks really polished after the first dumpster fire

    Just a note, there was a video showing how the hot end swap works and it is pretty simple/straight forward. The supply chain thing isn't an excuse it is because the alpha vs beta units saw alot of changes and they cant ship testers if they dont have the parts to build them, makes sense

    • @SebastienChedalBornu

      It's an excuse as one yt got 3 different units. But considered that the results were to share with phrozen not the public...

    I am going to be sticking with the kickstarter. I am still cautiously optimistic with what I am seeing. I think the hardware is good, the one stepper motor for the z is slightly concerning but I think their main issue is the software. It doesn't appear to locked down like some other printers that are a similar style so I feel like I can do my own tuning and get it into a good state even if what they deliver isn't tuned very well.

    • @NoizieWorks

      If I didn't have to much expenses right now i would to 😉 let's cross fingers for a review sample but at this point i'm pretty sure that bridge has burned beyond repair 😅

    • @viaJustin1910
      @viaJustin1910 3 месяца назад

      @@NoizieWorks Haha I hope they send you a unit to review. (I am not familiar with your review policy) Even if they would want the unit back after the review, I think it is important for them to get both the positive and negative feedback from an honest review.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 месяца назад +2

      I don't have a public review policy, maybe i should do that.
      To be fair most companies i work with just send the sample no questions asked except for heygears.
      They tried to make me sign a contract which took away all my freedom and basically would give them free advertising with no editorial freedom on my part so i send them walking.
      That's the reason i started making reviews because there is too much biased BS on youtube right now.

    • @viaJustin1910
      @viaJustin1910 3 месяца назад

      @@NoizieWorks if it was was me I think I would have a policy and if they want their product to be reviewed they would have to agree to the terms of the policy. I think that's similar to what some other content creators have

    $850? May as well buy a P1S. As usual Phrozen thinks their brand is "premium" enough to charge this amount, I don't think so.

    Another RUclipsr got 3 versions of the printer and didn't talked about it because for him they were for beta testing and the results were not meant to be shown to public... We can interpret the way we want but... Phrozen shown February prints which were awfully Anet a8 like. On march it was better, ender 3 like

    Thank you for the objectivity. Arco looks like a hot mess with a flying gantry with 1 stepper and a long ass belt. Gantry weight is high and it will be BAD. They went too cheap.

    Oh and creality k1 had such a bad launch cuz creality didn't take the time to step back and rework it they rather push it out and move on. Phrozen has shown they rather piss people off making them wait longer to send it out right rather then push it out as is, yet people treat that like a negative so guess damned if u do, damned if u dont

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  3 месяца назад +2

      I get that and they don't have to rush anything AT ALL for me so why do they launch a campaign then?
      I don't think it's to fund research.
      Poor timing and communication from the start imo.
      Right now would be way better timing to launch something like a kickstarter.
      Now, they are making good progress instead of a month back.
      About the samples, still don't buy it.
      They had time to let somebody test the beta unit without the boss looking over the shoulder and give some honest feedback on the design choices. Especially as this is a concern for a lot of people voiced in the campaign and FB page (arguably their own fault by posting bad looking prints before the campaign without the proper context)
      The review samples are clearly an afterthought for them and it shows in the number of backers.
      Don't get me wrong, phrozen has a solid reputation so i expect it to be on the same quality level but the campaign leaves a lot to be desired and it feels like they are banking on the reputation a bit to much.
      Also a good indicator is the lack of new pledges the last 20 days.
      Slice didn't do anything to help that.
      If things launch super smooth i will gladly eat it but i feel that the pushback they got actually helped to make sure they don't screw it up and keep them on their edge which can be a good thing.
      I think we as "influencers" have the job to look at projects like this with a critical view to potentially protect customers from getting burned.

      @@NoizieWorks I agree the ks wasn't needed for funds but I feel it was needed for them to test the waters on how viable a fdm product from them, a massively large name in a very specific market(resin printers). I think its easy to look at it as an established printer company just launching a new model but really its launching a whole new divison that they had 0 experience, reputation, parts suppliers and probably even staff into prior to the arco. So 100% get what ur saying but also not shocked at all that they had a handful of alphas, launched ks, saw the need to do a massive overhaul, in part due to feed back from backers, and are now adapting and moving on.
