    Modern MX-5 in iracing doesn't use an h pattern and auto blip is actually optional in the irl car. I'd suggest keeping auto blip on and use a seq or your paddle shifters.

    Fun vibes but def get more practice in before joining the races. Watch the weekly guides on the tracks, those guides can easily get you within 10 secs of top qualifier. Personally if I can't get within 10 seconds of P1, then I should practice more. Learning the limits of the car takes time, trust the process.

    I have to thank you. You make me feel like a driving god. LOL! Keep practicing, dude, but first learn how to practice. There are guides on effective practice, but basically start by learning the line. Go into corners slowly so you can be sure you hit the apex, and work on getting the best exit possible. That's your main priority. A good exit on to a straight will gain you more time than anything else. Then just keep going while ensuring you hit the apex and get the best exit you can. Doing that will show you "the line" and where to brake, turn in, etc. That alone will get you much closer to the pace. Good luck, and keep the shiny side up!

    Lmfaooo.... "there's a guy 3 seconds behind me, i just don't wanna mess him up"...... **proceeds to wait 1.5 seconds until hes right behind you before pulling out onto the track, causing him to have to go off track to avoid** lmaooo the rookie brain logic is hilarious to me. I know mistakes like that are INEVITABLE when starting out. i did them, hell i still do them at times.

    To clutch and blip your going to want to learn to heal and toe - ruclips.net/user/shortsf70o6-JmMNo?si=wz0yC55sK9BU7RDi
    The lower the gear the more careful you need to be.
    Delay your downshifts, downshift too early and the rear wheels will lock up.
    I believe the mX5 in iracing is technically sequential now - with cut on upshift and auto-blip on downshift - been like this from 2021
    But I used to heal toe, especially to 2nd or first.
    Best of luck!

  • @messy3371

    hahaha that was horrific but hilarious, try to mostly brake in a straight line before you start turning, if you start to hit the brakes and turn at the same time you'll over rotate the car and spin out, you can peel of the brakes when you start to turn which is called trail braking but it will take practice.

    • @messy3371
      @messy3371 8 месяцев назад

      dying at you watching the dave cam video and saying 'he hit the red stuff' haha, that is called the apex and you want to hit that through every corner because it allows you to take the racing line - being on the racing line will allow you to carry the most speed possible through each corner

    Obviously it was fun to watch and you seem really chilled and a great guy but seriously you should practice more before entering ranked races and be able to stay on track.
    With iracing it's quite a serious aim racing game and other drivers are trying to get their ratings up and do as well as they can do, so risking others people's rating for your own amusement isn't a great way to go racing in a game like this. ( No disrespect it's just frustrating when your trying really hard and you come across people that just don't careand end up destroying your rating )
    Once get out of rookie it does get slightly bettwr then obviously the more you rank up the better drivers you come across

  • @giggysmalls5803
    @giggysmalls5803 8 месяцев назад

    In my humble opinion, I would suggest that you try an easier sim first before hopping into iRacing. It is quite unforgiving. Nevertheless if you really do want to try iRacing, try to watch some track guides for your car and practice your breaking points before getting into a race. Even if you are careful, when you break a lot earlier than the breaking point you catch out the drivers behind you and they simply WILL crash into you...
