He is a top 10 guitarist of all time.
Now, if you want to talk about shit musicians and rock band members, let's talk about Bono, Edge, Ringo, Harrison, Prince, Hendrix (he sucked, really, no talent, played the guitar with his teeth, big f'ing deal), and all rap band members in the ROR HOF. Ted destroys them all! And, he is a real patriotic American, not like those lefty losers.
BTW, I could not care less about your military service. Means nothing. Kerry was in the army, and he was and is a traitor as well. You are either on the right side or the wrong side. Anyone who sides with vile thugs and parasites is on the wrong side. Anyone who sides with the retarded, ivory tower concept of "social justice" over the tried and true American ideal of individual liberty is on the wrong side, regardless of their military experience. Benedict Arnold was a once great soldier too. Nice try.

Everything is a competition with you and it’s not about who is better. Each band having their own staple to music is great.
You’re entitled to that opinion. Except, I don’t see queen as Rock and Roll in its truest format. While they may be able to rock out, I’m hearing things that aren’t so rock n roll coming from the entire band.
It’s because of classical roots and wanting to present something different. They can make this huge statement with their musically educated background, but it still falls short of a legit rock band to me.
What the Ted Nugent band offers is Classic Rock, Rock n' Roll and Blues. So.. with that being said.. did you come here to hear the Ted Nugent band ? Or… ???

You know, there's no denying that Derek St. Holmes kicked complete ass on the vocals, *and* he's got good stage presence, *and* he handles the guitar quite well. But, often times the true test of "who's the star" is when they split up. The music business is certainly not always a fair business, but generally "the chips fall" where there's real stardom. When the original Van Halen split up - - guess what? We found out that David Lee Roth was a star with a completely different band behind him. And yet we *also* found out that Van Halen was just fine without David Lee Roth, thank you. // And yet, when The Eurythmics split up, Annie Lennox was still a big star, but unfortunately Dave Stewart didn't seem to keep hold of the fame he had before the split. (Maybe not the best example, but there's a big disparity between their sales numbers.) I wish the very best to Derek . . he kicks ass . . but ultimately it was Ted Nugent whose torch kept burning hot after the split.

Holmes IS the talent. Plenty of great guitar players out there , don't need Ted, but no one is out there singing like Derek.

    • @billlynn3196
      @billlynn3196 6 лет назад +4

The backstory here is that after Nugent's last Amboy Dukes album (Call of the Wild) fell flat Discreet dropped him from their label. That was after two failed Polydor albums (Marriage on the Rocks - Rock Bottom and the live Survival of the Fittest). Record execs from both labels wanted Nugent to stop singing and get a lead singer (which he hadn't had since the Amboy Dukes days). So along came Derek. His vocals on Nugent's first solo album (essentially) brought Nugent the national attention and airplay he had been seeking. Not long afterward, egos flared up (or should I say flamed up?) and the alpha jackass hired Meatloaf for vocals on Free for All. St. Holmes was back for much of Cat Scratch Fever but Ted was once again behind the mic caterwauling as usual. Before long Derek left to form St. Paradise and then Whitford-St. Holmes (with ex Aerosmith second guitar Bradley Whitford). Derek plays with alpha-asshole Nugent when invited. I wish he'd stop. I would have more respect for him and his talent.

Geesh , I know Ted's the big Kahuna, but the sound guy should have brought Derek's mike vocals up or lowered Ted's guitar down when he was singing, it's called Dynamics, and it would have been such a better recording

Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
    I wanna kiss you
But if I do, then I might miss you, babe
    It's complicated and stupid
Got my ass squeezed by sexy Cupid
Guess he wants to play, wants to play
    A LoveGame, a LoveGame
    Hold me and love me
Just wanna touch you for a minute
Maybe three seconds is enough for my heart to quit it
Let's have some fun, this beat is sick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
Don't think too much, just bust that kick
I wanna take a ride on your disco stick
    Let's play a LoveGame, play a LoveGame
Do you want love, or you want fame?
    Are you in the game?
    Dans the LoveGame
    Let's play a LoveGame, play a LoveGame
Do you want love, or you want fame?
    Are you in the game?
    Dans the LoveGame
    I'm on a mission
And it involves some heavy touching, yeah
    You've indicated your interest
    I'm educated in sex, yes
And now I want it bad, want it bad
    A LoveGame, a LoveGame
    Hold me and love me
Just wanna touch you for a minute
Maybe three seconds is enough for my heart to quit it
Let's have some fun, this beat is sick

I can see you staring there from across the block
With a smile on your mouth, and your hand on your huh!
The story of us, it always starts the same
With a boy, and a girl, and a huh, and a game
And a game, and a game, and a game
    A LoveGame
    Let's play a LoveGame, play a LoveGame
Do you want love, or you want fame?
    Are you in the game?
