Look, I'm definitely guilty of over-using that song. But I literally edited together all the clips, and *then* tried putting music under it, and the FFX music just perfectly synced up under it right away. And obviously I couldnt use any other song after that

When you don’t want to lose any weapon durability
So from my understanding of this video, difficulty rating for killing the mini bosses with a horse in zelda botw from easy to hard is:
1. Hinox.
2. Guardian.
3. Talus.
4. Lynel.
5. Molduga.
Long list (it's very long) :
1. Hinox: won't attack horse, is slow, massive damage if horse hits hand. Just leave the horse in the path of the one eyed giant of the woods and let it do its magic.
2. Guardians (specifically stalkers and decayed, other types remain untested for the time being): fast, and with powerful laser attacks, but are a literal cakewalk once the legs are down. 3 seconds go in for the hit, 3 seconds go out, avoid beam attack, repeat. Take down 6 legs off the corrupted machine and walk around with your new plaything like a dog with a mouthful of used tissues (and then kill the dark terror once you're tired with it, the equivalent of the dog swallowing the used tissues).
3. Talus: butt taluses (talusi?) might actually be easier than guardians, as you just need to go around them a couple of times untill you get to butt munching range. It takes a while but generally low risk (probably can't say the same on Frost/fire talusi). Hat taluses are where things get tricky. Placing the horse on the top of the hardened terrors is probably the only way to get them, but that requires good precision and timing, and even then it might be just about impossible. Add that to the frost/fire problem and you're up for a not very enjoyable challenge.
4. Lynels: single handedly the hardest mini bosses in the game. They are smart, fast, strong, durable, boast a full arsenal of weapons and a large variety of attacks. They breath fire for crying out loud! Hitting them is highly challenging and they will outlive your horse I any standard scenario. It is but a small exploit that allows you to stalk the mained centaurs closely by, occasionally going for a butt munch. However, they must be kept within a certain area and every small error will quickly prove fatal. It is a long and dangerous affair, with high risk and high reward. makes for what I would call a fine challenge (just like the lynels themselves).
5. Molduga: physically impossible. Not much else to say. They could perhaps make the sand seals do some minor damage to enemies, giving us some interesting way to fight the gross sand fish but for now this shall remain a problem to ponder and/or a project for some talented unity artist with some spair time.

pretty solid and accurate summary :D but I'll warn you that Talus and Lynel were extremely, EXTREMELY frustrating to do - I just stuck with it since I was so determined to pull it off, but it nearly drove me insane. Guardian and Hinox are lots of fun with a horse though

Yep, i fought lynels in the snow biom with horses the First Time i found them, and although i Speed it Up with weapons, its definitly possible to kill them on a horse, and with enough time only with the horse

My friend told me not to bother with horses in this game because 'you're not gonna be using them that much'... Boy was he wrong. I use horses literally everywhere they're allowed to go, and knocking over guardians with the giant horse is so satisfying

I like the idea of just parading around a lynol on your horse for hours upon hours, trapped in an eternal cycle of a man hanging onto a tiger's tail, but with gentle orchestral music
this was my first ever introduction into LOZ:BOTW and i did't have a clue what was going on, I just wanted to see the pretty graphics and what the horses could do. Now, I've killed Ganon and am mostly just finishing shrines and quests. Thank you for this journey

The Doug we have been following all this time is flashy and wanting to do bonkers shit, and is exactly the kind of person to just ask "wait why don't I just [random thing that you wouldn't think would work but actually does".
Then the Doug we see here is much more restrained and thoughtful. He will discuss precise methods of doing something, but if he legitimately can't get confirmation about if something is possible when he's skeptical of it, he'll set it aside and move on to the next thing.

But without the right equipment or knowledge of their patterns of attack, they are alot harder to kill than the Hinox, Stalnox, The Talus', and the Molduga.
