smitty2jones there is still more than enough message in the song without yelling/singing F’ you, I won’t do what you told me over and over and over. They did a solid cover that does more than enough to say where they stand on the matter.
I do think there's an outstanding artistic challenge for someone to come up with alternative lyrics to that section that are "family friendly" but capture the power of the original. If that's possible.
@@Scarlet_Soul I heard it already, it's awesome! But I just picture a punk/hard rock/shredded version from F211 with Audra's voice... My oh my... Hahaha
I feel like yeah it needed a bit more rage but i still loved this cover endlessly! You guys have been putting out some real bangers lately and i never get sick of listening to you
Really fantastic cover guys, the groove was tight, the guitar solo was spot on and the drummer was next level ... but I kinda missed the mofo f-bombs. ;P Def thumbs up!
I have watched and listened to all the covers and This is by far the best. Don't know why ya putting the best one down. even the sound quality is a lot better. Look you have freaking SuperGirl Singing it and close your eyes and you will stop looking and you can hear it!!
Great job on the cover! I never want to say anything negative to a performer, this is just a critique... the vocals need a little rawness to them, but even without it the song was awesome. Thank you for covering a song from my teen years!
I love these guys and it's been great seeing Audra get more and more confident, I agree though this one could have used a bit more "pissed off" in it. Also disappointing that the end vocals (which let's face it, really make this song) were left out. I was looking forward to Audra cursing on the mic and embracing her bad girl side!
Naw man it isn’t awful. It’s their take on a song, and let’s be honest, that they can’t relate to. The music is great and even the vocals are good, but they are definitely missing the raw sound that comes from Rage. This sound is hard to duplicate. Morello is a beast and Zack’s vocals are what make the sound they are known for. FTE did a great covering it, but it’s definitely not one of their best.
@@kylecoonrod9291 Its not a cover then, they literally ignored the last 20% of the song's lyrics, I get if they want to spin it to their own. There's no way they'd be accurate with a female vocalist, but she looks horribly bored and isn't even trying to make herself sound angry, which is the entire point of the song, and the band.
Really disappointed that you guys removed all of the swearing from this track. It's a bit of a disservice to the message that this song and artist delivers.
@@ballabogan Honestly. I'm not trying to say that this is a bad version or anything. Collectively, the band did an amazing job. However, I just don't think this is the right song to edit as much as they did to maintain the status quo. This song is exactly opposite of that.
Actually most comments are on how the singer has "wrong interpreted" this Song (and I've got nothing on her but It's true) but By the way this Is THE SICKEST INSTRUMENTAL I've ever Heard on this Song!

@@aceshelman interestingly, I was listening to a different Halocene track as I saw your reply (her cover of All Around Me by Flyleaf which is amazing and is another song Audra would do really well down an octave)
I really appreciate your skills in playing classic tunes. I love the slight changes in this cover. Especially the female voice. Can I just say, I’d love to hear a bit more of your own interpretation/twist of music. Your so talented and I’m sure you could really show some creative creativity. My band is going to cover this song and there’s no way we could play it like you guys. Just heard the solo. Nice
Sadly, this has been an issue with several of the covers recently. They've been doing a lot of really great heavy, gritty, songs that really beg to be pushed out of their typical pocket of safe vocals, and rather than rise to meet that challenge, they choose to bring the songs down to fit what they know they can pull off easily. It's kinda disappointing, seeing how much potential they have. I just want to see that kick into second gear, but everything stays in first.
Yeah, there's a reason the original song had the F word in it. In this version they seem to have cut out entire lines of the song to avoid that word and the anger in this song.
That was the most unenthusiastic cover (singing wise) of a Rage Against the Machine song I've ever heard. But at least the musicians were beautifully on point.
Rage Against the Machine was a "repeat what people wants to hear" band posing as rebels. Part of the "rock for politics" movement that started on the hilpie era and all but destroyed the rock and roll. You guys are way better than these trash musicians that think rock is just a tool for trash politics. Keep the good work, you make an amazing song,
I absolutely love this band.. I'm a metal head .heavier the better..but you got this crew that absolutely kills every single cover they do .the drums are on time the bass is perfect not too much ..the guitarist is freaking sick .and that singer is absolutely perfect for the guys she lays down them vocals and is perfect in every single movement she has and is amazingly beautiful ...love their originals also ...better than any female vocalist out there in my opinion ..
I like this. Instruments were on point as usual. But yeah, not easy to "spit" the Rage, unless you have it in you. Good job and good effort for keeping it up with you, I know most singers wouldn't even dare.
Dang! I never thought you'd cover Rage Against the Machine of all bands... Don't get me wrong, I like them, and "Killing in the Name" is a classic, but still...

Just followed on Spotify; great group and great musicians. Rock and metal needs more female vocals 🤘🏻
I agree.
The instruments covered this song real well. Unfortunately, the vocals need more passion and energy to match the dynamics. Nevertheless, solid cover.
Lovin the heavier stuff, instrumentals on point keep pushin urselves!
Would love to hear Pressure by Paramore! Dark haired Audra is a stunner btw :)
i feel it’s fitting
you can tell audra definitely has some hella power in her voice she hasn't tapped into yet, cant wait till you guys get big
Girlie Girl. That was the sweetest version of that song. It was bitter and sweet. Your own flavor.
Really interesting cover, as comrade Dyatlov would say "Not great, not terrible"
Im still a fan tho
Really fantastic cover guys, the groove was tight, the guitar solo was spot on and the drummer was next level ... but I kinda missed the mofo f-bombs. ;P Def thumbs up!
If you're going to do a song, DO THE SONG. Can't tell you how excited I was and the how disappointed I became.
If this isn't the most kids Bop cover ever I love y'all but this song isn't for you
WOW.....you have a beautiful voice , great cover & everyone pretty much nail spot on Everything,👍👍
This cover is awful, did you watch the same video?
First to eleven is the only band which covers every genre of music I'm glad I found this band..lots of love
I appreciate that everyone will have a different take on other's work. Instrumentally this is good. It just sounds like resigned to the machine. 🤣
Why all the hate..... How could one expect Audra's voice to be even close to Tim's? I say well done! You have your own style and twist, go for it.

try this song, against greed by Sharing our life
It’s not hate it’s just criticism. That’s the only way to get better. My big issue are the cheesy vocal harmonies I don’t get it with those at all.
When you want to sing your favourite song, but your dad is beside you.
Really disappointed that you guys removed all of the swearing from this track. It's a bit of a disservice to the message that this song and artist delivers.
How does one simply censor a Rage song? Especially this one!
@@ballabogan Honestly. I'm not trying to say that this is a bad version or anything. Collectively, the band did an amazing job. However, I just don't think this is the right song to edit as much as they did to maintain the status quo. This song is exactly opposite of that.
They removed the swearing so they wouldn't get demonitized..... Simple sell out tactic.
DavexDurham Uk so don’t do the song cause everyone is gonna hate them for it and the vocals
Cause of RUclips
i liked, she's not trying to be zack de la rocha, she's giving her own style and i like that
She is sweetness
The Zack type is singing is really the only kind that works with this song
This isn't a song to be covered it's a message to be spread, and you just weren't committed to the message.
Who are you voting for for president
@@konquerer From a different country... but eh... good luck with that lol
Well they kinda did "Fuck you I won't do what you tell me" by doing what they wanted lol and not what we wanted

Best vision i e heard. Better than the original
Lol
😂😂😂
Actually most comments are on how the singer has "wrong interpreted" this Song (and I've got nothing on her but It's true) but By the way this Is THE SICKEST INSTRUMENTAL I've ever Heard on this Song!
Oh man the ending let me down

Loved it, was hoping it would end with the original song's massive scream of "MOTHERFUCKER! UH!" but even without that it was great.
Got a suggestion: Epica's Storm the Sorrow
sirgog Holocene did this right 😉
@@aceshelman interestingly, I was listening to a different Halocene track as I saw your reply (her cover of All Around Me by Flyleaf which is amazing and is another song Audra would do really well down an octave)
No it was a shit decision leaving out the most important line.
Bad romance (Halestorm version) or my heart by Paramore
They aren’t gonna do halestorm cause matt doesn’t want to cover it 😂
I really appreciate your skills in playing classic tunes.
Nice
My own Worst Enemy by Lit. Good Riddance by Green Day. Land of Confusion by Genesis. It’s my Life by Bon Jovi
Oooooooo, It's My Life is perfect for her voice! Never thought of that for a cover but i love this idea!
It's My Life and Good Riddance seem like they would be AMAZING!
"africa" by Toto would be a great cover
For sure My amigo would be a great cover
Hold the line after will be amazing
PLEASE DO “All around me” by FLYLEAF
When your Chihuahua thinks it's a shepherd
Wow, you guys can play anything ! That was cool
Kinda weak.... not hatin’ , just not my favorite cover by this band. This song needs to have angsts and anger seeping out of the pores
I agree, love this band. But i need true emotion in music! Anger, rage, fury! im just not hearing it
Sadly, this has been an issue with several of the covers recently.
The band parts are fine. The vocals make all the difference.
Yeah, there's a reason the original song had the F word in it. In this version they seem to have cut out entire lines of the song to avoid that word and the anger in this song.
Tbh, I just can't get past how hot she is.
That was the most unenthusiastic cover (singing wise) of a Rage Against the Machine song I've ever heard. But at least the musicians were beautifully on point.
I had my volume all the way up for the stream... in other news, I am now deaf!
What???? I cant hear you!!!
Same here Yindee lol
George Hernandez WHAT??
I respect and admire going out of the norm 1000%, you can play and see how the people feel, that's about it! Sounds like First to Eleven to me
Rage Against the Machine was a "repeat what people wants to hear" band posing as rebels. Part of the "rock for politics" movement that started on the hilpie era and all but destroyed the rock and roll. You guys are way better than these trash musicians that think rock is just a tool for trash politics. Keep the good work, you make an amazing song,
You should have brought Lauren Babic on for this one! I feel like she would absolutely crush the lyrics on this song!
"I'm just a kid" by Simple plan next
Music sounds good, but she can't sing it crazy/heavy enough.
holiday by GREENDAY please!!!!
Killing In The Name ✓
Nothing Else Matters ✓
Nickelback-How you remind me - I pray
I'd like a Michael Jackson cover
Dirty Diana? Fame on Fire did a great cover of it, would be great to compare.
Please Cover Dear Maria Count Me In By All time low
I like this. Instruments were on point as usual. But yeah, not easy to "spit" the Rage, unless you have it in you. Good job and good effort for keeping it up with you, I know most singers wouldn't even dare.
Great job! I have heard the original but like yours even more and I understand all the words now! Awesome! ❤❤❤
It lacks a bit on the vocals (talking about the angry feeling of the original song) nice cover anyways
I looove the instrumental, amazing cover, the voice isn't really fitting the song idk
Dang! I never thought you'd cover Rage Against the Machine of all bands...
Don't get me wrong, I like them, and "Killing in the Name" is a classic, but still...
Refreshing, I like the band. Good Energy.
