For vanilla extract, we just slit the vanilla beans open and just put them directly into the vodka bottle and let them steep for six months. Then we decant into a smaller bottle with a small neck for easy usage (leaving the remaining still in the bottle until we need it). We've done it for years 🙂
For Throne of Glass you have the first book! There is another book (Assassin’s Blade) that chronologically goes before Throne of Glass but you can also read it later in the series!
Thank you!! I was confused when I saw the set lined up differently at B&N.. I was like “no you did not just buy the 2nd book out of the series first” 😅
Chi, your homemade granola & peanut butter looks amazingly delicious. 😋 Great reading selections. Another wonderful video. Wishing you a blessed day. ❤
I've seen people use the left over beans after the vanilla done for vanilla paste or they keep a big mother jar and put all the beans in there adding to it as them make more.
Hey!🥰 Assassin’s Blade is chronologically first in the Throne of Glass series, but you can read it 1st, 2nd or 3rd. There’s a huuuuge debate online on when the best time to read Assassin’s Blade is. I personally read it first and I’m happy that I did, but you can definitely start with Throne of Glass! I’m on the last book in the series, Kingdom of Ash, it’s a long series but worth it!
Hi Chi! My sister got me the magnetic bookmarks as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. They are my favorite. Can’t wait to hear how the vanilla extract turns out. 😊
I just started to get into fermenting and making your own vanilla extrakt sounds fun as well. Also you remind me that i should finally finish that book catching dust 😅
@ChiUdeaja I started my first try with a recipe from the channel LifeByMikeG. It's mainly tomatos and onions with some garlic and herbs in a 2,5% salt birne. It's in day six now and already bubbling and smellig fermented. I think i will try them tomorrow. It really is exciting and a bit scary haha.. 😁
Yes! 🥹 one of my absolute favorites is Staples Made Simple by Selina Camarillo. I also really like Love and Lemon’s online website for simple scratch recipes (sauces, dressings, etc.) as well. I do have a few self written recipes that I keep in my recipe box for things I’ve adjusted/made my own 🫶🏾
Chi you're really the life I really wanna live! I followed you a few months ago, but I'm still so glad I found your channel. We share the same interests, are you on Pinterest?
Hello Chi! I love the book sleeve you have. I didn't know BnN sells them? It's been awhile since I've been in one. I get my book sleeves from a small business called The Bestie Book Sleeve on Etsy. She has really cute and pretty sleeves and accessories. I always look forward to your videos and love your content. 🫰❤️
Hi!! I got the one I showed from Amazon (I linked it!) I saw some online at B&N that said they were in store, but couldn’t find them :/ and I’m going to check out that Etsy store!! Thank you 🥹🤎
I like the scratch book so far! Many of the recipes I see are ones I’ve run into in other cookbooks or cooking sites which makes sense, as there’s only so many way to make things from scratch, haha 😅 My absolute favorite scratch cookbook is Staples Made Simple by Selina Camarillo. I have a digital copy, but I’m sure she sells it in print, but that cookbook has taught me a bunch about scratch staples. Also the 2nd and 3rd volume of the Magnolia cookbook series has been my go to for learning how to make all types of breads from scratch (bread, tortillas, pizza dough, etc.) For canning, since I’m still pretty new to learning, the one I picked up is okay. I think I was hoping for more “canning” recipes. This one has more “what to do with the canned items” in terms of eating, which is helpful, but I essentially want a “core” canning book.
If its something that you struggle with, maybe it isn’t, how do you stay so productive if you get depression? I hope this came out right. Love your content
Such a great question ❤️ Honestly when I’m feeling low, I truly let myself rest. I do find it few and far in between that I’m feeling low for more than a few hours, but when it hits, I don’t force myself to be productive or to do anything. I look at memes/IG and laugh, watch whatever show is available and ridiculous, lol (the office, grey’s anatomy, etc.) and just allow myself to exist exactly as I am.
