Activ form :
Romeo gave a ring to Mary.
Passiv form :
A ring was given to Mary by Romeo.
Mary was given a ring by Romeo.
Yes it is
It's almost correct but in passive form we don't write by so it is like this: a ring was given to mary
Your explanation is so better and speaking manner is very simple so anyone can understand that what things
you are saying .
Your explanations are awesome!!! I'd like to have classes with you personally.
The lesson was good but i want to compliment u maam on your voice u should try out for like discovery or nat geo these channels have narrators whose voice sounds exactly like yours or work at a call centre or something
Your way of teaching is very nice.thanks a lot . You make passive voice very easy for me.
Your were made for this you are the best compared to other English teachers on RUclips 👍😌
Hi there! So, in the examples given "get" is replacing the verb "be", right? An important file was deleted = An important file got deleted. I´ve never learned that we could use it instead!! Something new to teach my own students :). BTW, I use your videos to help me in class, and I just love them!
ma'am I can't understand why are you adjusting "got" in the second & third sentence of passive?please,if you expain properly it will be helped to me.please ma'am.
You're an excellent teacher!
As always, thank you very much for this lessons!
Thank you.. from Nairobi Kenya.
I'm more preferred of using Past Participle than using these part of voices! like, the thief stole my bag or my bag was stolen and we might also change it into an example like, The thief has stolen my bag, or my files has already been deleted! Active and passes is good though! :)
Thank you Alisha!
Excellent explanation!
Thanks a lot!
Thank you very much, very interesting class
all is simple and clear
شكرا
Thanks for the class!! 💙
Thank you Miss.., you make me understand about passive and active voice
I appreciate it! Thanks Alisha. Your explanations are extremely clear. 😊
Thank you very mach. I study English. Laval B1. You explain slowly, understandably. You think about graders. Your job is necessary and useful.
Very clear. Thank you.
what a fantastic lesson with brief explanaion!
Using your example there in the passive "Their window was broken!", could be possible to say "Their window got broken!"? Since you explained that "got" conveys a negative outcome of a situation, we don't know here the "agent" of the action either. In this case, as it happens in the former examples, "broken" refers to the object too. We don't know who broke the window as we don't specify who ate your lunch or who deleted the file. Maybe I'm wrong. Thank you for your reply.
I have the same question
Please tell us the rules about converting active into passive voice.
I submitted the manuscript to the journal trough their online form before the deadline.
The manuscript was submitted to the journal trough their online forms before the deadline.

But let say I don't want to drop the subject in the passive voice, how to use it?
If you don't want to drop the subject in passive sentences then you can show or indicate the subject by using the word 'by' okay.
Hi, could anyone help me please?
Which question is grammatically correct? -
On/In/At what sites will this product be able to be sold?
On/In/At which sites will this product be able to be sold?
What/Which sites will this product be able to be sold?
And does it make sense to write "will this product be able to be sold"?
Thank you!
thanks teacher !!

Thank you so much
Thank you so much mam. I really understood
Very effective lecture...thanks ma'am
yes very good....thank you so much
I like this video ma"am.
Thanks for this very helpful video
Alisha have a great weekend
Please do not teach incorrectly. A passive form of verb is formed by ''Be'' form + Past participle.
Eg: My coworker deleted an important file-Active form
An important file *was deleted* by my coworker-Passive form
Take note of this.
Please can you make the video on conversion of active voice to passive voice and passive voice to active voice
Thank you Mam.
thanks mam

hello.very exciting thank you
Thanks Alisha, it was helpful episode.
Nice thanks cool 😎😎😎
I had alot of problems with making passive voices.
It helped alot but I still have a question about passive verbs.
How can we make passive voice by a present tense verb?
For example:
I write a letter.
How can we make a passive voice by Above sentence ?
yasin Nasrollahpoor A letter is written.
yasin Nasrollahpoor A letter is written by me
thank you a lot)))
Hi Alisha, my question is "if I were you " is it correct, and may we use "if I was you" ? Thank you for answer
I'm gonna try answer your question.
"If I were you" is incorrect,
I is subject , (were) is aux verb, and you is object. The aux verb u're gonna use it depends on the subject.
The correct one is "If I was you"
"If I were you" is a special form. It is known as the subjunctive mood (from the grammatical point of view). Type 2 conditional.
Active :
My coworker deleted an improtant file
Passive :
My important file got deleted
am i right if i add by my coworker in the last passive sentence like " My important file got deleted by my coworker " or " an important file got deleted by my coworker"
Great question :V
I want to know, too :V
Guntur Thunder yes you are
You are the best
Pls ma'am can we use "was" instead of got?
Example: "They broke the window". It looks like active voice but we do not emphasis about person who did it, may be we don`t know. So what is this form?
Excellent video

was deleted vs got deleted ? what is the difference Ma'am ? Thanks
