    Konnichiwa.
    I got a little confused in 4:51.
    My answer is " Laughter is believed to contagious". But why we need to put " be". to "be" Contagious? Is it because "contagious" is an adjective?

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  Месяц назад +1

      Konbanwa! Yes, exactly. Since "contagious" is an adjective, you need to add "be" in front. Keep up the good work! 🤩

    Hi, according to "I met a girl shopping for flowers in the town.", who bought the flowers? Me or the girl? How can we tell from it?

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  8 месяцев назад

      Hmmmm... Based on the structure of the sentence, it implies that the girl was shopping for flowers. The subject "I" is the one describing the action of meeting, while the object "a girl" is the one performing the action of shopping for flowers. So, the girl was shopping for flowers, not you.
      But I have to admit that it could have the other meaning as well. However, if I was the one doing the shopping I would probably say, "I met a girl while shopping for flowers in town." In that case, the meaning is clear.

    • @mandychiu7319
      @mandychiu7319 8 месяцев назад

      Same here. (I learned it from you) I also think that the girl was do her shopping ; however, the translation said I was the one. Thank God, I am not totally wrong.

    Thank you for this benefit lesson 🙏 I have question about explaining this quotation or proverb it says ( stuff me today and starve me tomorrow) what does it mean and when should be used it and refer to thank you for your help and fir for your time ⏲

    • @englishspeaking360
      @englishspeaking360  8 месяцев назад

      Hi! The saying "stuff me today and starve me tomorrow" essentially means indulging excessively in something now without considering the consequences or planning for the future. It reflects the idea of overconsumption leading to scarcity or deprivation later on. In other words, it's about prioritizing short-term gratification over long-term sustainability.
      However, it is not a common expression so think twice about using it.
