That bridge is incredible, this is already shaping up to be an extraordinary layout. Thank you for taking the time to share with us.
Thanks!
I have no business being here, nor do I know why it was recommended... I haven't touched model trains in close to 30 years, but this is awesome=)
Now I know how I got here lol
I'm guessing his username and avatar suggests he is into RC and so am I. That would explain why it has been recommended to me, me thinks🤓
Totally!
I can totally imagine retired motovloggers making tiny train bridges (then filming it.) It made perfect sense to me.
I'm a retired structural engineer. A haven't done a bridge in my entire career ( I did architectural structures exclusively) but yeah, this was awesome.
That's not a trestle, that's a work of art.
Eating home made chocolate while building/operating a wonderful model railway, surely life doesn't get much better than this.....
While everyone else mentions the obvious, I'll just say I really enjoyed seeing chocolate being made from scratch at the end.
Thanks!
@@rcgrabbag Yea, it was nice seeing chocolate being made. I really love to see more of that!
I very much enjoyed the chocolate-making segment of your video, as well. Thanks for sharing this very interesting segment. It made my mouth water.
I assume the chocolates will be delivered on flat cars to the crew during an operation session
I've heard that chocolate is the best evidence that if there is a God, he is a cruel God.
Love seeing a passionate person doing what they love
Thanks! Love your channel too!
Ok, that's the most amazing model railroading I've ever seen. You are a craftsman like no other. great work.
this is amazing! i cant wait to see how this layout turns out!
I hope I live long enough to see the finish, incredible.... That room above the garage dedicated to a train layout is over the top. Then there's the layout itself...
That bridge is a sheet work of art. Truly amazing.
That trestle is awesome!!!!! Can’t wait to see layout running
All I can say is wow. Lots of work but the final product is amazing. Thnx for sharing...
Thanks!
It'll be interesting to see how you landscape around it.
Absolutely fantastic work! Thank you for sharing this gem! Love the light-flooded room with great natural light it seems!
I am really enjoying this series, the quality and effort behind it is what makes it so special.
Many years ago I had a layout featuring several timber bridges. I no longer have the time or space for a full layout, but I am thinking about building a few small bridges as decorations. This gives me a bit of inspiration.
Nicely Done! Having ridden across the goat canyon trestle out here in California I can say say that yours looks very true to form.
That is an amazing bridge. You make it look so easy. Looking forward to the scenery to be completed.
Very impressive! I'm just amazed how that trestle was built an added to your layout.
I am not a model railroader, but I am a hobbyist woodsmith and this was just amazing! Awesome work! Congratulations.
This layout and attention to detail is just awesome. I can not thank you enough for this content.
Deeply in awe of your skills and patience!. Oh and not just a little envious of your layout space. Thank you for the excellent and much appreciated and enjoyed content.
👍👍 two thumbs up for sharing this video. Nice hobbies you have there. Take care
Love the bridge AND the chocolate. Brilliant!
Wow! Although I’m building an English layout and trestle bridges are not a feature of our railways in general I have developed a new thing called trestle envy! Thanks for sharing the building of it, it’s amazing, oh and I enjoyed the chocolate making too, cheers for now John
Everybody needs to see stuff like this !!
Doing something as best as you can and winning.
Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
That chocolate looks amazing! Glad I hung around after the bridge build.
Hello from France ! sincerely, I never seen that before. Amazing bridge ! You have almost finish ( smile ). For the grand opening, I buy a ticket for USA.
That bridge and the layout are amazing. I can't wait to see it completed but at the same time, I am loving the process of it being built
Love this. Plus the Rayoiner Loco is special. The Rayoiner trains use to run through my town and family worked for Rayoiner. Amazing job
The most amazingly impressive trestle I've ever seen! Just wow!
My Uncle scratchbuilt a 6'L x 2'H double-track curved trestle to span a small canyon on his full-basement railroad... It was quite impressive, but it was nowhere near the caliber of this one... Simply breathtaking, beautiful work...
Thank you!
Sir, this is just absolutely fantastic to follow. I have seen many train tracks but this is just absolutely incredible. Hats off to you!
Beautiful trestle. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
your doing a great layout very enjoyable to watch your progress.Look forward to more
Inspiration at it's finest I was really looking forward to your next video and here it is hope to see the next one as well.
Reminds me of the Camas Prairie RR up in Idaho. This is great fun and a wonderful way to avoid the Covid. Looking forward to your next installment
Ya made it look easy. Glad you were doing it. Now, you reap the benefits. That trestle looks great, too! 😁

I love this project do much. I hadn't even thought about model trains in 20 years, but this video took me back. Thank you so much.
It’s been 50+ years since I ran my train set or paid attention to the hobby. I am amazed at technology changes as well as incredible set ups. I really enjoyed this video.... a train voyeur.
Thanks for making the video of your labors...
That's a beautiful structure. My uncle models trolleys, and as a kid I loved visiting his layout. He had a beautiful scratchbuilt lift bridge almost five feet long spanning the walkway through the benchwork, and I was in my teens before I found out that my dad had built it for him when HE was about 17. I work on real trains, and I've never really had any interest in building models of them, but I appreciate nice work and attention to detail. You epitomize both. Looking forward to the continued build. 👍
Nice work and looks great !!
WHAT THE FLIP THAT LOOKS GOOD
Absolutely amazing!
I’m excited to see this setup fully finished... a dream build...
Wow your bridge is AWESOME! I am so impressed with all of your skills. Bet the chocolate candy is just as awesome too. Thank you for sharing!!!!
Absolutely stunning. I'm following this series avidly. Your skills are amazing. Railroad looks pretty good too. 😁
I've never been interested in model trains etc, but I am hooked on these videos. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Thanks for the videos, really enjoying the building journey.
Absolutely amazing, you obviously know what you're doing... model making and home made chocolate. I wish I had that much room. Being into British railways we don't have such dramatic scenery to have such structures but it's given me something to think about.
Your talent and craftsmanship is fantastic!!
Wow just wow ! , that is one hell of a bridge and a fantastic example of model engineering
Like 300 plus people have already said, that tressel is awesome. I don't model HO or US railroads but even I'm amazed. Great modelling, well planned and in wood (lumber) too which just adds to its awesomeness!
Nice job on the bridge. It looks awesome. It's a lot of work, but excellent work.
I love bridges, viaducts, suspension bridges etc.
I'm in the UK 🇬🇧
Thank you very much! I love the UK. Been there three times.
I could only dream of building such a set over 40 years ago. Awesome work!
wow that's awesome. Thanks for sharing this.
Very strong bridge and I like the choco. You have great hobby's 😋👍😋👍
This turned out great! Incredible!
Great Job, your work shows your experience. Keep us updated on the layout...Hooah! DaveT
Awesome work.
Very impressive. I’m looking forward to the next video.
What a beaty of a bridge you have builded!
It’s brilliant. Thanks for posting.
Excellent workmanship, wow what a beautiful trestle, very nice locomotive on it.
Speechless. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Thank you for both parts of the video.
Mr. Grabbag, your trestle work is AWESOME! So inspiring. My little n scale layout can't compare, but you are providing many good ideas. Thanks for sharing.
What a ton of work, well done
U got a lot of time on ur hands WOW! that truss bridge was amassing, life is good for u.
Fantastic work.
These videos are so amazingly awesome! Thank you for this!
This immense trestle looks almost impossible to build. But your step by step approach makes it seem almost easy. Extreme patience and attention to detail are the major ingredients. The final result is beautiful!
Wow! That is a work of art in itsself!
Incredible work!
That trestle is awesome buddy. I'm a UK model railway builder so we don't have structures like that. But I can't but admire the fantastic model railroad your building. Those chocolates look tasty too lol 😂 Take care until the next update. Cheers Stevie 😎🇬🇧
Thanks Stevie! I spent my honeymoon in the UK and was there last year for the mrs’ and my anniversary.
Would love to have seen you constructing each individual trestle......very impressive design and detail.......the layout looks great...... can't wait to see it completed
All that natural lighting coming through the windows will really make this railway layout extra special. I hope your windows have a special UV coating to prevent excessive paint fade of your layout and models.
My jaw has truly dropped!!! That's absolutely amazing!! How long in total to build the trestle bridge?
Thanks! Took about 6 weeks.
you seem to have a knack for being able to do everything in a Big way.. I liked seeing chocolate made from scratch at home.. the various machines needed was very interesting. The presentation superb! The trestle.. amazing. Your idea about printing the radii was a great idea..then the jig to make sure it's precise. Thanks for sharing.. looking forward to the next installment.
Can't wait to see how you finish out that canyon with the creek.
Loved the surprise chocolate!
Holy snikey, mesmerizing. Awesome following this....
Bind Blown........WOW! Love it!
Thats what I call a Bridge. Awesome. Greetings from Hamburg/ Germany
Many thanks!
That is very impressive!! Can’t wait to see more
Man, I'm just loving it I came a little later but better than never. You're giving me so many idea for my own hobbies thanks and great work. 🙂
Cool!
Amazing work.
That is frighteningly fabulous.
Building a trestle and making chocolate. Amazing work. Really enjoy the videos. 👍🏻
Looking forward to your next your update video! I can't believe how awesome this layout you going!
Bet you have your holiday setup!
Happy birthday!
Your Craftmanship, Skill and Patience are amazing = B E A U T I F U L
Thanks!
Again, excellent job.
Thanks!
WOOOW Looks Great, Very Nice Work.
Beautiful job
Super awesome!
Superb modelling, excellent stuff from Xan in the UK!
Nice bridge and tips plus the logging engine
That's cool, getting ZZ Top to inspect the trestle in the Eliminator ;
LOL! 🤣
Imagine adding NUT, BOLT, WASHER
castings to all those bents and the
bracing involved in that trestle!!
That would have a person sitting
in a corner babbling to themselves
after a while!! It will be an awesome
trestle either way!!😁😁😁👍👍👍
Nice job on the chocolate, it takes a
lot of steps to go from the beans to
a finished piece of candy!!!
Wow. This is beautiful work!
Thank you! Cheers!
