  • We visited the Daytona Arcade Museum in Daytona Beach, FL to check out their selection of retro video games. For $20, you can play all the games you'd like all day long. However, in addition to the incredible line up of classic games, they also have an astonishing collection of retro video game consoles that includes the world's largest collection of items from the legendary Atari dig site, made famous in the documentary Atari: Game Over.

LOVED This video!! I am all about the 80s. The video games brought back so many memories for me. The music in the background was so awesome. I still listen to 80s music today. Just about everyday. Thank you for this awesome vlog!

Pretty cool video. I bought a tabletop paceman game in the 80's for 50.00 and it still works perfectly.

HOLLY CRAP!!! I did not know this was a thing. Daytona was my place for arcade games in the late 80's. I got to go here in October. Haha we had intellavision at my grandmothers house. I played baseball and snafu all the time. Wow we also had the Merlin and sports games. Too Cool!!!

Hey if you ever come to alamogordo stop by the tularosa basin history museum and come see the display we have here and meet the man himself who found where the games were, Joe Lewandowski. He's my father in law and he was in charge of the whole dig. We were the ones digging thru all the games and all the 2600 consoles and joy sticks and controllers you name it it was in the hole. So MANY games. But if you ever find yourself down here I can let Joe know you are coming and set it up so he can show you the display they have here and all the other stuff we found.

Atari 2600 spent a few hours cursing at one of those. Pole position and keystone capers were my favourite games,if I'm remembering them right.

I remember as a little guy playing ET and wondering if I was bad at it because nothing really happened.
I may be spending some time down in Daytona in the upcoming year for work. I hope I get to go down again.

I had an intellivision. Feel sorry for me? I looooved the stupid math game. And Burgertime. And pitfall. And night stalker! And "Bee Seventeen Baaaaaawmer!" Those dumb plastic sleeves that you changed on the controller always got creased and crinkled. Ah, memories!

We had all the games from the dig - the touch pad too! I don't get the hate on ET - we played the crap out of that game! I get how some might have genuinely hated the game, but I think it's a bit of a sheeple thing now, here were a lot of cool things that game did that other didn't. Maybe we were just the right age not to question it :)
