Good luck, and great choice! I just finished my 408w swap in my '95 last month. I went with the blow through supercharger and a sniper xflow. Hit a lot of fun snags along the way, but the result was worth it. Hood clearance is a challenge on that combo, especially with the super victor intake, so watch out for that.
@@lollis_garage3683 I think you can use the 302's cam, 11r 190 heads should bolt on without any modifications, the lower intake with the carb. I think if you make it go 600 hp. Or more you probably are going to need a 4 row radiator. I don't know what pulleys you can use from the 302's on the 351W. Maybe I can find out with your videos.
cattnt wait to see these builds , the 408 is going to be some kind of beast. you could do a 393 on the cheap with 302 pistons, 351w rods and a 320 eagle crank and make same power as 408 😁 Im thinking of doing it with a 351w i have in a 94 E250. keep the vids coming , I thought you done quit makin vids but glad to see you back man👍
Really? You can do that to a 302? I thought you could only stroke a 302 to a 347. I'm finna stroke my 94 out and bore it 60 over with matching flat top 60 over pistons.
@@ethanparks8207 you can stroke a 302 but for the power I want it wouldn’t be very reliable with a 302 based block unless I used a dart block but there 2k for a block, I got the 351 for 200 bucks and it’ll hold a thousand hp pretty reliably with the right bottom end setup because the factory 351w block is much stronger than the factory 302w block
Got an 87 t-top that I plan on throwing a 331 in and try to push around 400-450 rwhp. Just want a nice little street monster that I can daily and have fun in.
I’m not past doing a 427 I know it would make a little more power, the main reason I wanna go with a 408 is because my buddy has one in his SN car and it’s plenty fast enough for what I want. I appreciate the comment 👍🏼

Wow,so you can basically put most of the 5.0 engine parts on the 351w? & it can make & take more horse power than a 5.0 engine?
Yes 351s have better webbing in the block and they’re thicker so it’ll handle more power

Man! Hell yeah I dropped in 74 351W year ago keep all 302 parts from onyx you'll need em, and 86-93 mustang parts work on 351's.
I got a lot of stuff to go on the 351 but I’m gonna be buying new heads for it 👍🏼

The 351 isn’t but I will be setting the block up to use a roller cam with link bar roller lifters
