which blue pencil is this?
best last name ever
🙏 😊 🐹
oh wow thanks! love his art and was on his socials a few times.
have to say this sketchbook segment isn't doing justice to his art.
his 2d caricatures and color choices are what i like best.
also, my bad eyes are having a hard time seeing the blue lines 😸
This is so scary he looks exactly like my uncle
What is the name of the blue pencil? Thanks.
I already bought 12 from Amazon! I used to draw with one blue - artist grade, and loved it! TFS
I love it!
Not one woman considered for the series? Amazing
I was thinking the same thing
Maybe a lot of women say no to doing this because they don't have giant egos like guys tend to have. I'm pretty sure I'd say no if I was asked!! I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable having those intense close ups on my face.
80% out of focus shots of his pencil and hands / 15% out of focus shots of the table / 5% actual shots of drawings. What trash camera work 😂🤣
i know i also want to know what he looks like and not just see half of his face
omg bro i'm saying
Each person in this series should list what they are using. Some people do and some people don't but this should be required on every interview. The type of sketchbook and supplies. They don't make a person better but people may find this pencil to be new to them and they love it... I love using this type of pencil myself over graphite. Luckily there was a shot with the name visible whole he was drawing... If you didn't already know what it was.
For fuck’s sake, man JUST focus more on those good sketches NOT the face hand or anything
The barcode stickers trigger me so much. Sue me
What a difficult way to live
His sketches are bright...and lighting doesn't help with that...
by bright, u mean the clean lines?
can u please make it sharp and not using bigger aperture, cause i cant see shit..
Damn when he doing shadows and don't want to overdraw the outline he uses little finger to block it. That's some next level stuff
I noticed this because of the comment, thank you
Wow
0:18 when I switched from procreate to paper ; sometimes I unconsciously pressed two finger on the paper to undo
Pi people dis on procreate and other digital art tech, in my opinion it’s a more difficult to master. Not only do you have to be artful and creative, but you have to learn the software to create anything of value. Also the lack of tactile connection to the media, paper, on a computer screen is a real thing... an Apple pen is not like charcoal on paper, at all, its’ MUCH more difficult to control the stylus on a screen. Like steel on wet ice...
Most people don’t like the Apple Pencil on the slippery screen that’s why we use paper like film, it’s better but not perfect. depends on preferences my art teacher told me to master the paper ,the fundamentals ,and the feel of paper before going to digital so I can understand how each brush works.
They needed to use less light. To get a better look at his art they should have gone with a black table top and some soft white lighting. Long story short...there is too much white going on here.
Most of it is coming from the blue non photo pencil he's using
honestly disagree on all points sorry pontiac. your taste in cars though,.. titts
I put the pencil down 10 years ago. Got away from art. But recently I've been able to revisit it and it is something that I totally agree with what you're saying about just trying to draw something everyday and see the improvement from where you were to where you are. Thank you for this
Does this mean there’s gonna be a new sketchbook series? Absolutely loved the last one!
"The Season 4" has been launched. Every month there will be a new episode. Stay tuned ;)
Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn ah exciting! Are they all gonna be on RUclips or on demand on Vimeo?
@@sarabowen1D They're gonna be all free on RUclips :)
@@TrojanHorseWasaUnicorn please hire a different cameraman
Love this concept! Sketchbooks r often unseen, like a personal journal, very intimate!
This filming style is extremely useless. Please just keep the focus on the sketchbook.
Thank you. There's more zoomed in footage of his face than the drawings. Very frustrating.
True
On the contrary, shouldn’t we see the artist, similar to why a artist signs his art. Shouldn’t we know who he is, and we see every page they talk about. If you want to see a page longer just pause the video. It’s easier for you to pause the video then for thu to changer their film process.
Thank you for the fun debate :)
@@owenkemp9741 Agreed. I actually appreciate very much the way they use the screenplay as an interaction between the sketchbook and its owner, but in this particular case they actually should have focused a little more on each page, since the lines are so thin with this it's not so easy to spot the outlines of the characters.
That Tinman design holy shit
I loved it too!
Loved listening to Dela talk, one of my favourite artists. But listen was all I could do. Bad case of fixing something that isn't broken. Just show the drawings take more time with him talking, stop effin jumping all over the place with the camera. Will still give this a like but purely because of Dela Longfish
One of the Best Sketchbook tours I have seen..!! It’s so much better when you can hear the Thought process of the Artist and how and what thy done.
Glad I found this channel.. that’s a Big Sub for me.. + One more..!! 👊😎
We're glad it inspired you! Thank you very much and stay tuned for more from The Sketchbook Series... :)
Can hardly see any of his sketches.
i thought it was just me
Yeah, not much contrast
He uses non-photo blue pencils and they stay true to function - it literally makes it difficult to see his beautiful drawings in this video. Incredible work regardless!
Those look like col erase blue, which have a darker blue lead than the turquoise 'non photo' blue. It's not black but very easy to see IRL, I use them. The lighting here is the issue.
Why usa can't buy your products.????
Need more of this! Thanks!
You will have :) Every month there will be a new episode. Stay tuned!
Damn shame about the camera work here.
its more about the edit i think. the drawings should be shown more, but without the other shots it would start to look kind of stale..
8:19 is incredible stuff
So awesome playing with the idea of wizard of oz.
showing blank pages is great i feel i can do the same. there´s hope
What pencil does he use?

Rather nice to not hear someone laughing in the background all the time.
lol why did it take 4 years to upload this sketchbook series?
Don't worry, they're just doodles💀💀
I NEED to know what brand of pencils he is using please
Prismacolor Colerase blue 20044
By far my favorite episode because of Dela. His work is amazing, bring him back lol!
Finally.. please post another sketchbook tour videos.
Every month there will be a new episode. Stay tuned!
Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn thank you, looking forward for that. Your videos & contents are awesome.
Dela Longfish is one of my favorite contemporary artist easily! This is so inspiring I have two of his sketchbooks and files full of his art and this grounds the whole thing in reality!
I can’t see the sketches.
The cameraman needs to find another job for sure
I couldn’t see a single drawing
youre blind
Terrible light control here, impossible to see the art
Jaw dropping concept sketches
Thanks for featuring him, love his works!
Such an amazing artist! Daydreaming for an artist is the gateway to creativity and concept development.
What brand of pencils is he using? TIA
www.prismacolor.com/colored-pencils/premier-colored-pencils/premier-col-erase-colored-pencils/PCPremierCol-EraseColoredPencils
i think this guy is native american
what penicls is he using
Yeeeee buddy!!!! :)
Please stop changing the camera work from sketch book to artists.. Focus on the work.
I want the blue pencil
07:19 Makes me think of the giant stone guardians from Atlantis: The Lost Empire animated movie. I loved that movie so much as a kid, thought it was the coolest thing I saw coming out of Disney.
Slowly, pls
Love this channel. But wish you would adjust the lighting can't see the drawings.
Who else wants to slowly and closely look through his sketchbooks?
Found this dude when I was in High School late 2000's and have loved his work since. Some of the best linework out there.
It is the year 2020, and its still all robots, samurai and monsters all the way down
What is the name of the blue pencil he uses?
Bolaji A. Most likely a Col-Erase pencil! The ones from Prismacolor are great
@Trojan Horse Was a Unicorn - What are the Pencils he uses? I have a blue mechanical pencil - which is great, but I would love an actual wood pencil...metal is hard to chew on. In all seriousness - anyone know the kind of pencils?
He's using a non photo blue Prisma col erase pencil color 20044 from what I can see there appears to be more than one color of blue but I can only see the numbers on one. There are various blues in this line.
KARL KOPINSKI IS DONE AND NOW IN WAITING FOR KIM JUNG GI TO CAST..
Oh my....I'm here because of the "Trojan horse was a unicorn" 😮
Que fantásticos dibujos en estas series wow !!!
Brilliant mind! You found your gift and purpose.
Kim Jung gi should present him a brush pen :p J/k
I love these videos. Where i can see gr8 sketchbook of gr8 artist.
This video is a gemstone ! So magical and talented
4:31 Looks similar to Mordecai from Borderlands
Don't forget to wash your face.
hard to see unfortunately. cheers
this is what i call a Shady sketches !
Holy ssssshhhhhoooot
Gorgeous art.
loving this series :)
more of this series!!!
Great!
Name of the pencil ?
www.prismacolor.com/colored-pencils/premier-colored-pencils/premier-col-erase-colored-pencils/PCPremierCol-EraseColoredPencils
It's a magic talent giving pencil, but only special can get them like the wands from Olivanders.
Sorry, but you're not special enough to get one.
I enjoyed this! People are so mean. Just click off
Nevermind the people talking trash about the camera work. I do agree in part, that you should have focused a bit more calmly on each drawing and maybe with dimmer light since this artist's style is so smooth and light-lined. But, having said this, the camera work keeps adding to the proximity between the sketchbook, the viewer, and the artist, so it's good. Cheers.
I would very much like to see close ups of the drawings, not awkward too-close close ups of the person's face.
His name forced me to click on the video and it did not disappoint ☝🏽
woah how did i not know this artist! he is amazing
