The only thing that I would do differently is that I would have bought the second leather chair to use in another space so that I could bring it in the office and use it for potential client meetings. Fantastic job Drew. You have created something special. Get yourself a carved wooden throne to use as a desk chair. It's good to be King.

I think in future you may regret not buying the 2nd little matching leather chair. If you can still buy it, it would look great in a corner of the office with a few stacked books on it and then so easy to pull over to the desk if you ever need an extra seat at the desk.

Love that mirror! I'm pretty sure it's made from an old Catholic thing called 'stations of the cross'. There are 14 in total and many Catholic churches have them inside on the walls. Looks like someone removed what would have been a painting and installed a mirror instead. I've seen plenty throughout my lifetime to recognize!

I agree with the station of the cross frame turn into a mirror. The 8th represents Jesus meeting the women of Jerusalem. But people in Spain are usually Catholic, so it fits with the Spanish style.

But then, I realized that if it was my office, I'd have to name him and talk to him and listen to his advice on my work, and then I wasn't weirded out any more!

Seldom do I dislike anything Drew does for home decor, but I have to say; I dislike the portrait painting! I haven’t a clue why he chose it?!? At first I thought: Is he hanging up a photo of a family relative?!? Then when I saw that it was an unknown Asian person, I thought…well, aside from it looking like a young Ho Chi Min of the Communist party?!?😳…Oh well, it’s his house, his wall, and if he likes “that” hovering behind him; bless his heart, right?!?🤪😂😆

One of my favorite things in your videos is when you “pretend” to be doing something in a space, like being in a meeting at your desk typing on your computer or in your lobby video you were pretending to serve drinks and play backgammon… my husband does the EXACT same thing! He acts out things in our house that probably won’t be happening and it’s so cute and sweet.

The Eastlake movement is right in line with all your 19th century design vibe for your office it was started by British architect and writer Charles Eastlake and lasted almost a century (1836-1906). The movement is generally considered part of the late Victorian period in terms of broad antique furniture designations. It’s one of my favorite periods! Btw I ❤❤❤ your office!

P.s. (I dont know if you've done this already, so if you have i apologise) I would suggest popping another curtain bracket in the centre of the curtain pole. I didn't do this in my home and the pole started to sag and there was too much pressure on the 2 brackets so they started to pull away from the wall! 😭

Hi Drew! I just found your channel a week ago when I was searching around for inspiration for my new home. First I was looking around for diy bedside tables and then ideas for a small office space in my bedroom. I ended up watching a bunch of your diy videos and also the office you made in you old flat, then the video with your landlord reacting to the apartment makeover and after that where you told us the sad news that he had passed away. But when watching that video I also realized that you had bought this house, and now I have literally been binge watching your entire journey from the announcement up to this video and I have loved every minute of it! Your are such a talented, inspiring and lovely person, and so are your friends.
I was so happy when you pained this room green, that is my favorite color as well and I have green walls in my current bedroom and I absolutely love this room and would love to have a similar feeling in my new home. The new one is a rental though and probably temporary before moving to a bigger flat so I will probably keep the walls white. But I think I will definitely be adding greens in curtains and such and also bring some darker wood to get a cozy vibe. This makeover was very inspiring and I really loved how it turned out!
I'm really looking forward to your upcoming videos, it feels a bit empty now that I'm up to date and have to wait for your uploads 🙈

Yeah, Drew... because that desk lamp is what's going to bring in the clients for consults and not your incredible talent and personality! 😂 You nut!
I love the 'through the archway' shot at 19:02. ❤❤
And THANK YOU for showing how you hung the curtains from rings with those little metal hooks. I just picked up some beautiful custom made pleated drapes from the thrift store and was trying to figure out how to hang them. Perfect timing!!

My mother always made all of the curtains in our home, growing up. I’m (fortunately) familiar with all of the things you show in your podcasts. It’s very nostalgic. Great job educating people on “how to’s” so we can do our homes in the same professional way. Many thanks.

Every video of yours I see, Drew, I think this is the best one yet, and you've done it again. Your style is so eclectic, and yet everything goes well together, because there are certain recurring themes, like your colour palette, the textures, pieces of pottery, patinas. Living in a very rural area of Europe, my taste is normally French and English country style, but you knock me out with your modern American vibe, just love it.

I LOVE this space! I personally prefer the more calming visual energies of the single rug behind the desk. I find the energies of the different gallery pictures no very cohesive, though each is pretty.

I haven't been on this channel in a MINUTE, and i recently got a book about Spanish architecture and interior design. When i tell you, I gasped when i saw that office! It's so beautifully done! The timing of this is crazy since my decor style is currently Spanish with vintage and modern elements, and this perfectly encapsulates everything I could possibly think of doing with a space.

Of course the office looks beautiful! I especially love how it looks when the outdoor light is streaming in through the tall windows, across your desk, and hitting the walls a bit. It somehow gives me a real comforting feeling, a little bit nostalgic. And I LOVE OVE LOVE the miniature oil painting!

I am so glad I found you. This is my calming place. Just one thing. Swap places of the 2 small pictures behind the desk. The smallest one is worth to actually be able to see without a ladder.
