id like to see a build with the side fans as main intake an the top two for a custom 73m thick 240mm rad also as intake an the other 9 120mm as exhaust , an see how well that does with a to water cooled 6950xt or 7900xt gpu an 12 or 16 core cpu ?
Hi, Mike. You're finally speaking my language with this case. I love it, and I'm getting the air version next month. I love having the motherboard turned 90 degrees. I had to same thing on my Level 20 HT.
Which one though? The 700 is slightly smaller. Space for for one 140 on top instead of 2 140s the rest is the same. 500 drops the dual chamber for psu shroud. Slightly smaller than 700. 750 seems perfect to me.
😏👍 Thats a cool design, you can use this pc either to the left or right side of your table or underneath your table on the left or right, great idea, we dont have too many options for argb cases for the left side
I like big cases. Not to fill it, but rather to have room to work in. And having lot of air in really help for cooling. My CM Masterbox even has 2 handles at the top to move it! 😁
To me this looks like too much of airflow, when fully equipped with all fans is there any time left for the air to get to pc components before it's pushed/pulled out of the case?... my pal had a Chinese case with 16 fans, very similar to this one but funny enough cooling performance in his case was better with all case fans switched off, running on purely on cooler fans and convection. With fans on airflow was trapped in air tunnels created between intake and exhaust 😂
If ya know ya know. People that understands airflow would not do 16 fans as ive seen this advertised like that's the ultimate setup. There's a time value with airflow as well and a good case with push pull would beat cases that has 1k fans in them You don't just throw fans everywhere and think your case and components is going to be just all cool it doesn't work that way....Its a good sells pitch tho but really you don't want your setup like that
I have the Ceres 500 which is amazing. I do a lot of flight simming with 4090 blasting the whole time and the case is getting super hot. I’m getting the CTE 750 cos I want to see if I can get the fans (Noctua AF14s) running quietly by being in a big space and operating at a lower speed. At the very least, it is going to look super weird.
You're probably looking at around a minimum of £3-4,000 to fill the case with a system that would make use of all that space. It's an enthusiast high tier hardware focused case, so that shouldn't be surprising.
Wow that is humungus! The designed in flexibilty &filtration is amazing. Wish i had a need for such a powerful pc thats needed to fill the case. Look forward to seeing smaller versions. Thanks for reviewing Mike and Kath 🐈👍
@@mikesunboxing fair play, but that's not the version you are reviewing...I'm not having a go..just trying to point it out to any peeps that are looking for it at that price.
What support are you talking about? It sits on a vibration dampener, and that's all I recall being there. The holes for the PSU are also fixed. The size limit is only for if you have the drive bracket in the back.
Are you getting the Thermaltake CTE 700 too? Seems the more interesting model being a more reasonable size, while maintaining support for loads of drives. Scan say it will be available from 1st of August but no reviews yet.
One thing about this case that I'm noticing a lot, and have experienced myself, is that not all of the clips that the panels clip into are actually put into the case. In mine, there literally weren't any for the front panel glass. It was just "clipping" into the case itself. I had to add the two myself. Also, the bottom mesh panel is a PITA to put back in. The cables from the motherboard don't go into the VGA section. They go straight to the back. There's a hole right there. This case is also realistically not for air cooling. It's a waste. Check for the C700 or just some other case completely. I have two 420mm and a single 280mm radiators in this. It works pretty well. And yes, buy extensions for everything. each fan comes with an extension cable that also doubles as a splitter, so that's nice, but you will be using a controller with this anyway. Oh, and this thing is really heavy. I used a P500A before this, which is close in all dimensions save for the depth, looking through the glass, and it's way heavier, even without anything in it.
That case is so big it makes your fingers look tiny !!! I mean how many Poppeys could you fit in that beasy ?!?!?!?! Yeah its not going to be for people who dont need something that size.....however for what is on offer I think the cost of this is totally warranted ! Like you said a custom water enthusiast is gonna LOVE this. Thanks for taking the time to do a proper review of this, Mike and Kath 🙂
I tried upgrading my previous 20 year old Thermaltake Armor supertower and it just could not handle the modern cooling solutions. New air cooler was 2 inches too tall and new power supply could not fit into the case so this new case just fills the bill by adding 4 inches to it's backside for HDs and Power supply. You can never buy too big of a case. The new motherboard orientation and I/O cabling will take considerable getting used to for this old fashioned PC builder. In Canada, this is a $290 case and the fans that come with it are not RGB like the ones shown here on this video
@@mikesunboxing Yes. Got used to the strange hidden rear I/O panel system. The real challenge is routing active HDMI to Display Port adaptors through that 1 by 2 inch opening with other cables already routed through the small opening Thank god for easy clip cover and magnetic strip air filter. In the process of adding more fans to increase to 10 120mm and getting a powered USB hub for all my flight sim controllers and control blocks. I have this beast sitting on a second desk table beside my main desk so when I eventually get around to installing ARGB fans to fight my winter time seasonal depression
I'm gonna get this case and plan on modding it, taking the front panel tempered glass out, 3d print a new panel with a cut out for a lcd screen. Can't wait for it to get here.
