Thats what i did for my Electric Fender and my Accoustic Simon&Patrick and trust me when you play arround a campfire at night with your buddies it really helps. But some manufacturer have fluorescent things on the side to help you with that 👍
It took me a couple minutes to realize that Chris isn't in this because he doesn't play anything but imagine how funny it would be if he was like "I'm Chris and this is my voice" haha I'm funny.
+Maxi Frost Ricky has always had social anxiety and isn't comfortable in interviews. If he didn't know much about it, pretty sure he wouldn't be in such a big band.
He does come off as anxious. There are plenty of people in big bands that don't know about gear though. That's the tech's job. The musician just plugs in, goes out, plays, hands the guitar off when they're done, and that's it lol.
It's probably easier to get the same sound out of one drum than 2 separate drums. Then again I'm sure he uses triggers so it wouldnt matter if they sounded like a paper bag
props to the camera guy for getting good shots of the bass rig settings, that was really cool of him. i dont personally have any of that gear, but if i did i would've really appreciated that
It blows my mind when I see artists with 2k+ dollar guitars and still choose to play their import production models. It really shows that you can get all the guitar you need for a reasonable price. If Motionless can play live with a 900 dollar LTD, I'm good with what I have. lol
+Brandon Swinson As a drummer i've always hated when people do this. It just seems silly to have an extra bass drum if you aren't even using it......except to look cool. Just seems like an ego stroke or something. But hey to each their own. Not a big deal and who am I to even comment on the matter. But thought I would since it was brought up lol
+Brandon Swinson The second bass drum is for looks. The double bass look is what this band is going for. Also if something happens to the main bass drum it is far easier to have the second one and switch them out than it is to fix the main bass.
Does Ricky just use normal strings? for a heavier sound like slipknot...well that's what my guitar teacher told me. Because I'm starting to learning some miw song's because I love there music.
Not really, as long as your guitar's action is set to accomodate the lower tunings and you have thick strings installed, you should be fine. But, it would definitely be worth it to invest in a baritone guitar if you have the funds necessary to purchase a baritone
I'm a goth guy still kind of baby bat. I want to know how ghost did his eye makeup and exactly what he used. I paint my nails black and that's as near to makeup I've ever been or face paint at haloween. I'm 16
Why the heck does Vinny have a double bass drum kit if he only uses one? Edit: these days I see it’s similar to having a wall of Marshall’s with only one head and cab being used.
Ryan Hribal I'm not coming to this conclusion based on that alone. His stage make up (specifically the lines across his mouth) & his stage playing style (the way he headbangs and holds his guitar) is very alike Mick's :)
For a sec i thought vinny said that for his floor tom he had batter heads in bith sides and i was like what but then he corrected himself and i was like "oh thank god"
it would be around $3,000, but with that custom wrap probably $3,500 to $4,000. cant be no 8300 or 10k cuz a stock double bassdrum set from them is around $3000
Its sad how the first guitarist in the interview knows close to nothing about his own gear and the second dude probably knows the other guys rig like the back of his hand.
Brian Magana the first guy is Ricky. he's really shy and doesn't really like to be on camera. the only time when he's comfortable on camera is when he is play his guitar. it's like therapy.
Brian Magana no, he's acctually just really shy. If you acctually knew the band, you'd know that he isn't clueless about his own equipment but just isn't too fond of cameras. Learn the band before you bash the members.
@@hazlewood47 Didn't know which amplifer? He clearly said Mesa 4x12 can and Peavy 6505, he most likely had a backup. Wouldn't say something you don't know

Lovely Potatoe the femininity in his voice is so soft, I could fall asleep to him talking. I mean I would LOVE to be friends with him. He seems like a really sweet guy.😊
This is the most I've heard ghost speak I'm living. Also why is everyone taking a dump on Ricky? He's fucking shy and likely nervous. From someone with social anxeity, we can know a lot about something but will not be good at explaining it if we're nervous. If he can play the songs and knows how to use his guitar what's the problem? A guitar Tech exists for a reason it's not like it's the end of the world if Ricky doesn't know exactly down to a T what his gear is for or does since it's HIS job to go on stage and play the songs and that's it.
The glow in the dark finger nail polish for side fret markers is actually a decent idea
higler420 You should check out the bass player for Slipknot! he has lights on his.
Sooooo many guitar manufacturers make luminescent side for inlays now. It super convenient.

I agree
I have no idea what they were saying, but I still watched the entire thing
in the same boat 🚢
Yeah, me too. I saw ghost in the thumbnail and clicked
Maria Sandoval I only knew shit from Vinny cause I play the drums, the rest I didn't know shit cause I've only played ukulele and drums

ricky isn't clueless about his equipment he's just shy. but I'm still wondering why vinny has two bass drums but the double bass pedal on one
Tyler Eastburn The second bass drum is just for looks, the feeling of two separate bass drums is different from using a double pedal on one bass drum.
Yeah. It's for a classic look but a modern feel.
So you only have to tune and mic up one bass drum, but get the balanced look of two. If I had 2 bass drums, I'd do the same thing
It's probably easier to get the same sound out of one drum than 2 separate drums. Then again I'm sure he uses triggers so it wouldnt matter if they sounded like a paper bag

He also said it has a Bubinga neck, on those models, the necks are Wenge

Anybody know what kind of distortion/overdrive Ricky uses? He showed some pedals, but no distortion. Is he just setting it on the amp?
I guess they use distortion from the amplifiers with very high gain and noise suppressors
