thanks for the video...its great...i hate to get off topic BUT i do have a question about ipe wood...i want to make a ipe bow that is sinew backed...NO BAMBOO..would a person need to read the grain like a normal board bow...do you think this would work...thanks so much for the videos they are helpful and wonderful...john
@@johnnyandnik2204 I’m not experienced with sinew backing, so I can only guess at the answers to your questions. However, I am a huge proponent of straight grained wood whether it’s backed or not. Obviously, you can be more liberal with a backing, but I have seen some very questionable grain used in the past that had “unexplained” failures - pretty sure there was an explanation… lol!
@@Messi.10485 all you have to do is get it to a liquid state. Fire will certainly do that quickly - you can also overheat the mix quickly and catch it on fire, but that’s still unlikely if you’re paying attention.

Can you use a fire to make the process quickly ?
