@@brettbrown9814 Thank you, and I truly appreciate your assessment of my video/editing skills - I’ve been working on them a lot - even though my videos leave a lot to be desired in my opinion lol!
@@peterburgess4637 Thank you for watching! I’ve already done an ELB - well, sort of… it’s an older one, but check out this build along: ERC Long Bow build along ruclips.net/p/PLB9cslppxxWAMJ5fmutehb9G1G4EkPOsj
I really enjoyed the build!... You seemed to have a more traditional Hill Style grip initially... may I ask why you finished with the laced grip? Thank you
I chose the laced grip because that was the primary grip represented in the text of the book that I referenced... I'm interested in knowing...if you got to choose - what would you prefer?
@@meadowlarkadventuregear Honestly, I really like the look of the laced grip that you did... beautiful work and it compliments the longbow... I'm a form follows function guy, and I have noticed that most of the Schulz (and Miller) longbows that I have seen are glued leather... not laced... so I have usually just gone with that. To re-state... I am really enjoying your nicely detailed and wonderfully filmed and explained videos on these various builds... Thank you!
@@MichaelNicely-r4m there’s some assumption on my part with this… most of the pictures are from the belly side of the bow so the lacing isn’t very conspicuous… I guess it’s just my bias on proper finish. That, and I really prefer not to glue on my wraps - I like to leave the possibility of easy future change out.
Beautiful bow and a very professional video!

Well done - great video and explanations. Lovely looking bow and a shooter! When I have learnt a bit more I would like to attempt that.

Thanks for detailed explanation re how construction methods differed. Ordered the booklet. I and several friends will be interested to read.
@@knolltop314 thanks Michael! The book is a wealth of information - hope you enjoy it!
Very clear and clean. Thanks

Beautiful
@@royfrasersparks7846 Thank you!
Beautiful bow. You could make custom concave and convex scrapers from an old handsaw, better for fine tuning and uniformity.
@@Timelesstere that’s a good suggestion. At one point I was using a goose-neck scraper. It was a lot of work! lol!
Very good
