@@slifox2752 I had no idea that you could tune things with the app. Definitely a huge benefit.

Thanks for the video. I created a new Scene with more extreme settings and can't say I see the difference from the default "Walking" scene. Is there something you have to do after selecting the scene to make it work? Also, if you make selections on the M3 touch screen, does the Scene selection override these selections or vice-versa?

You have to use your app to change the scene or gimbal dynamic settings… Do not change via gimbal onscreen settings as it cancels out the subtle scene value made by your ZY play app…
You should see the difference if you swap a sporty scene with a cinema pan scene by selecting the scene from the app…
Start with 20 for pan speed and increase the value by 10 to see the difference…
Set deadband to 1, so you can see the change in speed value…
Move gimbal pan slow to fast to get the feel of its acceleration or speed rate and tune it to, how you like it…
To see, you need to exaggerate the pan movement to see how the camera responds…
You want it to be fast enough to keep up with your arm speed but slow enough to accelerate gradually so as not to jerk as you move the pan…
Check the results via recorded video, you want the pan to move smoothly from rest to full and from full speed to rest as smooth as to not jerk the video
The “walking”label for the scene is because it fairly slow compared to you filming a sports event eg watching the tennis ball fly past you left and right…
Smooth value is usually kept at 100
If your are happy with the tuned speed value… then use the indoor outdoor rule on the deadband pan…
      Indoor filming 5-10
      Outside filming 10-20
The tilt speed value is usually not as important…
      I keep this at 20
Deadband tilt is subjective to your climbs
So play around In follow mode…
I hope this helps and that tuning the gimbal is basically trying to match the pan follow speed with your natural pan movement and the values are there to dampen the jerking movement so you don’t see it in the video…

How did you get your crane m3 to connect to the app, because I can’t get mines to connect.

    • @slifox2752
      @slifox2752  Год назад

The ZY play app uses Bluetooth which should appear on iPhone or Android… if you switch on Bluetooth on your device and bring up the app,
      it should work…
Tap the crane M3 picture and press connect on the phone screen…
It will bring up device list and select your phone, it should connect and so connects your app to the gimbal…

Thanks for sharing..... I use Filmic Pro and Beastcam camera apps. After going through your settings in the ZY Play app, do you have to leave the app open in order to use those settings or can you close out? Also, will the M3 maintain those last settings after you turn it on and off? Thank again, appreciate it. 👍

The scene custom settings are ment for you to install the settings and turn off the app...
You can install another scene for another gimbal scenario... But my guess is that most people will put their phones any... until needed again...
Also from my experience I find the scene may be lost after a day or two but have been known to save within the day session...
Either way it’s best to keep your smart phone close in case it forgets the settings after turn off...
