Awesome detailed video. Thank you. I have a 2016 Santa Fe. Passenger map light doesn't go when the door is opened. However, it works when you push it on. Any suggestions on a fix?
I would suspect its the passenger side door sensor. Try this out. Open the passenger door and see if the door open warning indicator comes on the dash. If not, then the door sensor is bad as the vehicle is not realizing that the door has been opened. Its the door sensor that also controls the switching on/off of the map light.
Unfortunately if that is the issue, its not something that can be readily replaced. The door position sensor is built into the door latch and it will require getting a mechanic to take it apart and replace it.

How to replace the center dome light?
8:28 I think I see a better way to take that lens out without prying on the plastic from the outside. How about using a small plastic pry tool inside of the slot where it clips in to the roof? I see four slots.
I should of said clips in to the light housing that goes into the roof. I would put a little pressure on all fours sides where the tabs are on the lens and pry it up from there so I don't scratch it up on the outside.
Nice tutorial but my Santa Fe 2018 has a different central passengers roof light. I hope to fix it up! Regards from Guatemala 🇬🇹 👍🏻

The video shows that you are replacing halogen bulbs with same halogen bulbs but what if you want to replace them with LEDs. LEDs don't have the locking thing on the corner of bulbs. Where do you get the LEDs with Locking corners.

My issue is that I don’t understand iwhen my doors open the lights above won’t come on but if you press the button then the above light comes on…. Is there another bulb in there or not????
There is just a single bulb. It's possible that the main light switch is in the off position. Therr are 3 positions: off, door and On. Try flipping it to Door and try opening the door and try it

All you need to do is take the lens off and pull out the bulb no need to unplug the harness
You are correct. It just makes it easier to unplug the harness and then replace the bulb.
