How To Change 2019 - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe Map Light Bulbs - Remove Replace Reading Lights Bulb

A quick video tutorial on how to change the front overhead map light bulbs in a 2017 - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe.

This procedure is for a 2017 - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe WITHOUT the factory LED map lights
The Hyundai Santa Fe owner's manual contains the following information on factory LED map lights:
If the LED lamp does not operate, have the system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. The LED lamps cannot be replaced as a single unit because it is an integrated unit. The LED lamps has to be changed with the unit. A skilled technician should repair or change the LED lamp, for it may damage related parts of the vehicle
In order to remove / replace the front overhead reading map light bulb you should:
1. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry the lens from the interior lamp housing.
2. Remove the map light bulb by pulling it straight out.
3. Install a new light bulb in the socket.
4. Align the lens tabs with the interior lamp housing notches and snap
the map light lens into place

I haven't done this on a 2021 Santa fe so I'm not sure if it's the same or not. If the lights are not factory LED's then it should be similar. If they are the factory LED setup then the whole light assembly will likely need to be replaced.

It's different. They are halogen but the cap is different. I'm already figured out the interior dome light and trunk light. But the map light in still searching the type bulb and gain access to the bulb.

Yes, they do make replacement LED bulbs for the style of bulb shown in the video.
