where did you connect this black wire..is it to the wire you separated, i.e. the one you cut in two?
|||-----> One more advice for you all , that you shall use the thinnest available wire to connect the light between doors,(make sure to check if the inside of the wire is copper then it's good to go)and use less Tape so that it doesn't comes in between closing doors and will be , seen less!

He broke the wire into 3 pieces. One piece with the usb installed in dashboard while the other 2 were connected via connecting wires to be installed in doors
