I know he wrote the song “these days” when he was 16 it was a popular hit for Greg Allman, and later on Jackson Brownes own version, but I didn’t realize he wrote this one when he was 16 also.😊
I think people are confusing this song with "These Days." This song was recorded in 1971 (he would have been 22 or 23). I haven't seen anything that proves he was younger when he wrote the song.
Try listening to playing for changes version of either, The Bands "The Weight" featuring Ringo Star or Led Zeps "When The Levee Breaks" equally good featuring John Paul Jones (from Led Zeppelin)
