Which airfield was in range and had fighters? Also losing fighters on elite hurts because you do not have enough resources to even make bombers later in the game. Sinking ships is more important than defending yours. The no CP's for sunk ships hurts a lot down the line.
The AI is always predictable. They only have so many missions and waypoints to do the mission. Its a design flaw in the game not the mod. The allies here do not have a lot of options since they are short on ships and airpower. They are supposed to lose and lose badly.
You could have launched your interceptor to protect those ships
Japanese light cruisers were old WW1 light cruisers. They were not modern by WW2 standards.
Why on earth didn't you get cap for the light cruisers after the first attack?????

By the way I was watching multiple videos of yours but it feels a little boring like the ai next move is too predictable and simple
