You just needed to complete the conditions. The milne bay line was only wrong in the conditions text. The game sees Plymouth as milnebay in the waypoints and the game mechanics.
37:20 The Littorio class is the only real battleship class here along with the Conte di Cavour class and you think you are in "fantasy land", LOL.
34:04 No, that's a fantasy ship that never existed in reality. The battleships that sank in Taranto were modernized ships from World War I. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Taranto
You have to compare the German destroyer of 1934 with the American Farragut class of 1934, and you will notice that the German destroyer weighs about 800 tons more and has almost 30,000 horsepower more, although it carries the same armament as the American ship.
You need to watch Wolfpack345 play there are game features you are not using such as being able to fire the depth charge manually.
Air power might indeed be fine but the accuracy of high altitude level bombing ships is way too high. And in addition the bombs fall to close to each other. Accuracy should be much lower and the spread of the bombs much higher. I've seen in your vids that, if the bombing run covered the ship from bow to stern, it was often hit by very many bombs of the same drop, even small ships like destroyers.
Japan never sent convoy ships alone unless they are assured naval and air superiority in the area.
I think the lesson here is to not play on elite.
Its a won game it is just painful and long due to lack of CP's. Takes more time to build up etc.

Its worth it. I stream most nights so just hang out and ask questions. The mods for the game is where it really shines.

Yes this is a mod which is East Indies Mod. The Japanese campaign is called Centrifugal.
this mod its full of paper ships and it is unbalanced in every aspect. It is a pity, since i wanted so badly to play in the med... but to be fair, it is a pretty bad mod that needs a massive rework
It is being reworked. Also two other mod teams are working on more historical accurate mods as well.

The red and white stripes on the Italian ships were used to help Italian aircraft recognise the ships.
I tend to play with A.I. carriers disabled. Still have to worry about land-based planes, but you end up with a lot more large naval battles. And the submarines can be disabled as well if you want to make it 95% a surface fight game. Because, yeah, agreed, the naval fights are fun in this. Also better hope those ships at about ~18 minutes had some protection, otherwise you're gonna have a lot of baby freighters running around.

the almost endless battleship pool from both sides, along with airpower extremely OP makes the game way less enjoyable than what it should be... i get that some things could/should be bended a little bit in order to lvl up things (maybe Aquila and Sparviero being fully ready and usable by late 1942 and mid 1943, along with Imperio being completed by mid 1943) but for the most part this mod is as unrealistic as it can get... it's like if WW2 broked up in 1945 after massive build up from every nation
I talked with another modder. There are two teams working on historical mods for med and atlantic. No timeline though but I assume within a year or so.

One thing this game gets right is how stupidly ineffective level bombing was at hitting naval targets.

thanks this is exactly what I wanted to see. When you ask the British navy " What if you have to run?" Well the British Navy was so big and powerful that they could be pretty confident that they would never have to run. They would be chasing... So they didn't put main gun on the stern. heheh
Not exactly, it was a weight saving measure to shorten the armored citadel at the center of the ship
@@admDanRyan Yes but if weight was the only consideration they could have put the superstructure on the front with all the guns behind . The German Königsberg class designers knew that the British navy would be chasing them and put two turrets in the rear. Also The Bismark could have been design like a Nelson but it has to evade the British Navy so rear firing turrets make more sense.

This mod Really push things over. Airpower its just too much, and the way to compensate for this is to throw massive AA... all of this resulting in CVs being an absolute waste of CPs... why even bother with these. in the base game there are many ships limited by date... if the mod could have that done, a lot of ships shouldn't be allowed from day Zero (remember Iowas only joined the war by the time Italy was in civil war and Regia Marina switched sides. i do think the mod has potential for re-modding labor, reducing drastically ship pool up until Regia Marina sits at 1vs2 parity with Royal Navy (which was a greater navy but had many fronts to cover) and same parity with USNavy alone (so in practice 1/4 parity once USNavy joins war). But also the game could add only USNavy Ships that did participate in med campaign (being operation torch and the invasion of Sicilly the most recalled ones, but afar from Ranger and South Dakota, i can't remember the bulk of the USNavy taking a massive step into the med I really have no problem with Vichy France being Neutral ports, to be fair, Vichy France didn't participate in any battle except for Mers El-Kebir (that didn't resulted in any damage for RN) and operation Torch (which resulted in Vichy France ceasing to exist after loosing North Africa territorys). Campaign starts in 1940, so the rest of the war in the med should be an entire "what if", being the only constant the introduction of new ships. German ships should be removed except for subs (and torpedo boats that should be incorporated). It is reasonable to have tech innovation at some point, something that could be resolved for destroyers with "Batch 1" and "Batch 2" the first batch having no-radar and the others getting radar and improved AA but only released at jan 1942. Littorio and Vitorio Veneto could have a less capable radar and less improved AA while Roma and Imperio having improved radar and AA.
Then play aggressive cause it's gonna be fun and you gonna suffer losses too which makes game harder maybe I don't know but try it
By the way I was watching multiple videos of yours but it feels a little boring like the ai next move is too predictable and simple
The AI is always predictable. They only have so many missions and waypoints to do the mission. Its a design flaw in the game not the mod. The allies here do not have a lot of options since they are short on ships and airpower. They are supposed to lose and lose badly.

I have it and play it from time to time. The naval combat is not as good and the campaigns are also not as good.

All the major mods can be downloaded on the steam page. Go to steam click on WOTS. Click discussions then on right side of the page is modding page. Go there and all the major mods are there for download.

Both the Atlantic and Mediterranean mod unfortunately feature a lot of paper designs, such as the next class of German super battleships, extra ships of the Bismarck class, the Tirpitz being its own class with extra ships, Me-209s with Fw190 engines etc. It's still fun tho

Also because you are palying Elite, you get reduced starting command points and a reduction for sinking ships, same with resources, have fun

The problem with convoys is speed and air power. They have much more time to be detected and computer has perfect coordination with air.
