thank you drain man! u fixed a confusing issue for me in 5 minutes! joshue birdwell claimed i would learn something today and i did, but not from him lol
JB didn’t explain how the aux channels are correlated with the dest channels. I was confused until now. But I still can’t get LQ to show up in OSD, but it shows everywhere else, 100%.
Loved the video!! Also I really appreciate the explanation of destination channels and their correlation to aux channels in the betaflight configurator. Thank you!
Selecting 8 or 12 channel mode only affects the number of channels your Radio *sends* out to the receiver. It does not affect the number of channels the radio/Crossfire module *receives* from the receiver. Consequently, you can set your radio to 8 channel mode, but still put LQ on channel 12 in the Crossfire module. Set BF to receive RSSI on AUX8 (channel 12) and you're good to go.
As being newborn in these fpv hobby i know not only me watching these very complete explanations each mods that u need to know he will show u and not too fast and no fast forward and no shortcuts very much appreciated I will be asking u for help very soon once all my orders arrived idk if u can allow people to contact u directly and where we can send u a message for easy and quick response
I never have luck putting it on channel 8, always end up using channel 9. Great instructions, spot on. Recently made the mistake of using lq/rssi after doing a rx swap, and the osd reading was all over the place. Switching to LQ only fixed it right up.
This will only work if I solder the telemetry pad on my nano rx to my FC correct? I only soldered my nano rx with the 4 wires watching your video on it. So I think I need to solder more?? Thank you for any assistance and for making these videos.
Hello, great, I have a 1W Tango 2 and an Iflight Helion with TBS Crossfire Diversity with Nano RX and the XF NANO RX option does not appear, I only see Tango II XF and Tango Wifi, Could you please help me, thank you!! ! 👍
@@inZaneFPV Yes, I am using DJI FPV goggles. It turns out that LQ is still not available natively. The work around is to assign LQ to a channel (e.g., 9 in my case) in your transmitter and match to appropriate Aux in Betaflight (e.g., 5). Choose a channel/aux combination that isn’t being used. In addition, ensure the RSSI Channel in the Receiver tab matches (e.g., 5 in my case). Also, ensure that you check the “RSSI Value” box in Betaflight OSD (save). RSSI is now reporting LQ in the goggles at 99. This is also normal. RSSI should reflect 100% in the BF setup page when connected, unless you change the channel of the receiver, in which case it will read “50%.” This is also normal. If the RSSI (LQ) reading drops to 70% or less (RFMD 1), that means your connection strength is weak. Bottom line is DJI goggles do not reflect LQ natively yet. The process for analog goggles is similar, but does not require the Aux channel setup, only the RSSI value in OSD. Oh, and ensure RSSI (Signal Strength) in the Configuration tab of BF is off in either case. My RSSI in the Setup tab of BF stays at 100% when the transmitter is near and on. If the tx is off, BF should read 50%. If it does not work this way try disconnection the quad and reconnecting to BF. I notice that once RSSI is showing 100% in BF it will stay that way if tx is on or off unless the tx is disconnected, then it will show 50% until connected, then 100%.
@@ZabDevin Dude thank you so much for taking the time to reply, really appreciate it. I'm on analog so the second part has a bunch of things for me to check. I think the thing that has me confused is my RSSI is showing 99, RSSi db is -130 in, and LQ is showing 0:0. I'm expecting to see LQ in that format but seems others have LQ showing as the RSSI value (99) in OSD. I'll keep digging, again I appreciate your help!
Hi I have just installed craft on 3 different quads and I'm getting about 70% rssi and drops to 50 in just 100mtr and LQ goes from 300 to 200 tried different antenna positions and I'm just getting the same range as my old xm+ any tips all are running 4.1 so I don't use a aux just the new osd feature

Cant get to channel mapping to set up LQ. My nano wont stay connected in the tbs app either 😒 wtf is wrong with it?? Reciever is working in beta, just not accessible in nano rx Lua.... shows rssi at 21% but the tx has full bars. What did i miss......also changed baud rate to 11500 but didn't see any changes
I follow your channel. Always learning new things. Thanks. I run crossfire nano rx on all my quads no issue. I just installed my first crossfire nano diversity and for some reason I’m stuck on 49 for my rssi value. I have the same setup as you have here but for some reason it’s not working like my others. When iscrolked channel 8 it said ch9 ch10 ch 11 so i thiught there was no rssi/ lq ir rssi . But rssi is like 15 clicks oast ch 9 ch10 ch 11 and keeo clicking
Hey man, I'm new to crossfire. My issue is that my rsi is great but my link quality is damn near zero and this is my right next to the nano rx. As soon as I assign LQ to a channel the quad starts alarming like crazy for low LQ and in my OSD LQ is flashing. Any idea whats going on or a fix? I'm stumped. Thanks brotha
