I’ve used Spigen products for years and they’re made really well. I got a generic cover from Amazon but had I seen this review I probably would have went with Spigen. Great review!
Thank you for the review!
I have this with the white ocean band. Really good color combo.
Thanks for the review 👍👍👍👍
I love Spigen cases
your review was straight to the point. most excellent. thanks!
Thank you for the feedback!! Much appreciated
Thank you for the review however I will never make my ultra ugly with this screen protector.
I had ordered this on Amazon
I just ordered this one for my Ultra but I had the rugged armor for my series 6 and loved it.
It’s a good protector
a plastic protection to titanium ?
a nice fit with the spigen thin cover to protect your $1000:00 apple watch ultra and hopefully less noticeable while wearing it.
I had a similar case for my AW7 and took it off because if the watch got wet like if I jumped in water or even washed my hands, moisture would get under the protective glass and then smear or obscure the screen which I then had to take off and wipe dry both the watch face and the protective case. PITA sadly.
Same with me. I fix for it I found was a bumper case with no glass built in and then put on a separate screen protector. I never get water between it and the screen now
Thanks for this. I was a bit interested in protecting the Titanium shell, but I have seen - with other brands - putting this on and off can scratch it? So...even though I do kind of like the black case, and might swap that on and off to match with black SS bands I have, for now I'm holding off. (I've seen many though in forums that HATE the orange color on Action button...just the case hiding that may work for them?) Jesus, it's hated so much, I've seen tiny stickers online - pack of 5 for $10 just to cover that orange action button. 🤷🏻♂
Screen protector eh..that personally is the turn off...that's just me though. The glass on my Stainless steel Series 0, 4 has been through a LOT and Ultra even after bumping that into a wall, w/ (heart sank) zero damage but ugh..not used to the size I guess - is still flawless thankfully so that may not be for me - knock on wood! But I get it, it's an a accessory, piece of mind for those who wish to give the watch more protection at all costs.
Am surprised people so hate the orange accents... I come from the era of, and am lucky to own, Omega's Planet Ocean Chronometer (a totally automatic, mechanical beauty, certified to 300 meters or greater). It uses an orange steel or orange ceramic diving timer bezel... very beautiful and sets the watch apart in a pleasant way. Also, the orange on the Omega was chosen for underwater visibility and safety.
Better an Apple Watch series 7 or 8 in Graphite color steel, it is elegant and adapts to any context and outfit
Amazed there is a market for this. If people are afraid of dinging the titanium they shouldn't have an AW ultra. Tests have proven it's very strong. Like putting a tent over your house in a rainstorm. Lol
What about a change in color, is that ok?
I’ve seen some of the durability tests and while yes it is tough, titanium isn’t scratch or dent or ding proof it may take some effort to break but I’m ocd with my electronics so yes for me I would have a case on it while doing some of my extreme sports. I’ve had the titanium and ceramic series 6 and the glass did scratch as its glass I don’t care what glass is out on it. Nothing wrong with a case or screen protector for those that might want to use it on while doing those adventurous things. Maybe some people want to keep it in pristine condition for later resale. Nothing wrong with some extra protection on your 800-1000 dollar investment.
@@studivan the watch body does ding & scratch from some rough use. You need to watch the said videos more carefully.
@@redchilli450 Right. I've seen a few durability tests also. Sure this is pretty tough, but Titanium scratches, dinged up. Sadly...you may ding-scratch it with a slight bump by accident. You HAVE to expect this with this watch. Hell, any watch! Great thing about my older Stainless Steel S4...of course that scratched as expected..little micro scratches, you can't avoid it. BUT..it can be polished, so that's a big benefit. The glass on these Ultras, even the older Steels are just amazing in my experience.
I had an aluminum S3...jesus, within a month I had a scratch on the watch face, nothing horrible...but my OCD..I knew it was there and bugged me, especially in certain lighting angles...and I no idea how I got that. (Just ended up giving that to my 8 year old nephew. He was THRILLED but...umm, which ended up destroyed a week after that. 🙄 Damn, I was hoping it would last maybe 2...3 months max for him LOL, guess not. Oh well)
Yeah but lowkey I would buy this case just black out the watch I don’t rly like the titanium color
Just a regular glass screen protector is more than enough. The titanium doesn’t really need any protection.
How's your titanium case condition now, 9 months after your comment? I've decided to go with naked titanium so am really curious :-)
I bought the same case but I only use it while at work. The watch is way too high end to have a case on all the time.
@unboxinglife365 do you still have complete access to the Digital Crown with this case? I have a cheap one I got on Amazon but it blocks the crown somewhat. Is this Spigen case better?
Yes it is not hindered whatsoever but if you are looking for the best one I would say try and get the rugged armour Spigen bumper case which I mentioned in the video. Thanks for the question!
I have a quick question I do also have a Apple watch Ultra and I just came across your video but you recommend this product. I have read some of you on Amazon that when they take it off it damaged the frame of the watch
To be honest the fit is very tight. If you remove it carelessly it could definitely scratch the case. There are always pros and cons to any product so it’s great to get feedback and see reviews. Personally I have posted another video of the Spigen rugged armour which I had also briefly mentioned in this video. I would use that over this thin fit 360.
If you swim with it or submerged with water, does the water get trapped in between the screen area? Also there are reports of the case scratches the titanium body, have you seen this?
It could possibly scratch the body when you are installing or removing it. It’s a pretty tight fit
Can I remove it and apply it again any time I like, Is the glass stick with screen as the phone screen protectors stick with screen..??
Nope it’s fully removable
thanks for review, i red lot of complaints on amazon site, about damaged product and loss of responsivnes what about your piece?
No issues for mine so far. Quality and build is what you would expect from Spigen (great). Responsiveness can sometimes be iffy but it’s not all the time.
Screen visibility worst and dont touch water with this case otherwise u have fishtank watch.
I use case without built on screen protector and I have installed tpu screen protector on the watch glass is a better choice.
Will the alcohol wipe affect the screen adhesive? Then your screen might fall out?
No it won’t have any effect on the screen.
I have one of these and my issue with it is if water gets In between the screen of the ultra and the protector the ultra’s screen becomes unresponsive or goes a little haywire.
Yeah it’s not the best design. I would stick with the Spigen rugged armour
Why didn't you include a link to the other option of screen protection?
I will be posting an upcoming review of the other bumper case this week with the links in that one. Thanks!
I have the ultra and would never cover it up with anything it’s titanium and ceramic I think I’m good
Agree on that
Does the touch screen work okay after putting this case on?
Yes the case is made for it so it incorporates some touch sensitivity pints on the cover to help with screen function. Meaning it does not hinder the touch screen at all.
How does it handle water under the screen?
The fit is tight but definitely not water tight I would say
There is almost no way to scratch the glass. There is no reason to protect such a nice
device.
I agree, a case over this watch is an injustice, also the only thing that can scratch the sapphire is diamond. As far as the titanium body, if you don’t like the color get a series 8 in graphite or if you worried about scratches get the AppleCare+ and before your 2 years is up, smash it and get a new one. 😂
Yes scratching the body and dinging it is absolutely ok, if you'd pay for my watch.
@@redchilli450 are u dumb
@@alrbruhalrbruh7623 no, i'm not, but with an id like yours you should be asking yourself that question punk.
@@redchilli450 wtf is putting a piece of plastic and glass gon do on titanium and sapphire
Is this suitable for clone watch HW8 ultra?
I’m not sure about clones.. sorry
Returned mine after washing my hands and water kept getting trapped under the screen protector
Definitely sounds possible. Hence I would recommend waiting for the bumper case instead without screen protector. Sapphire glass is really durable anyways. Thanks for the comment!
It’s good for outdoors
I wouldn’t use the protector at home.
The ultra is already stupid strong I don’t think it necessary
Strength is not the same as hardness which is what determines if something will scratch. The metal body will scratch n ding. Cheers.
Pretty useless to me for an Watch Ultra.
For any other Sport Watch, a bumper is needed and I used to have one RhinoShield for my previous Watch Series 5. But the screen is a pain especially if you swim often as water gets in between the Watch screen and the screen of the bumper. The RhinoShield has no screen but gives an extra lip to protect the screen from everyday scratches. my Watch Series 5 is still in perfect condition thanks to this particular bumper.
As for the Watch Ultra, this kind of extra protection sounds to me like too much.
I have my Watch Ultra since late November 2022 and it is still in pristine condition even though I have a very hectic life and I do lots of physical activities daily.
For the ones speaking about knock off protections, I'd always go for well known brands for anything to do with my devices.
My 2 cents:)
Thanks and definitely good input
water will go in ?
It is not full water tight I believe
This Case Actually Makes The Watch Look Better. Love The Black Look On It.😎
Their transparent soft covers turn yellow, although they say they shouldn't. I will never buy them again.
Apparently there is a cleaning hack to make it transparent again
Putting a tempered glass over a saphire glass?? why?
Because glass is still glass regardless. Now I wouldn’t get the 360 cover like him as I’d probably get the rugged one without the glass protector. Reason being because I do a lot of spartan events and yes it can still get scratched and the titanium can still get dings. So that’s why I’d use at least the bumper cover during those types of activities.
@@studivan well than you must be the lucky one. I do a lot of extreme sports so for me the added protection while doing them I’ll have it on. It’s the metal on metal or rocks that I’m worried about. I’ve had the titanium and ceramic series 6 and it did get scratched on the case and I had some hairline scratches on the same sapphire glass. I rock it naked when going to work or events but for other stuff nothing wrong with having an added bonus. To each their own. There’s tons of reviews with scratched stainless steel series with sapphire glass.
It’s titanium and sapphire, don’t need that ugly thing!
Oh, and the dots aren’t for capacitive touch, there to help prevent under the screen air pocket’s that cause a rainbow effect.
Ah good to know on the dots thing! Thanks for letting me know, you always learn something new eh! Thanks again for the comment
@@spraynshyne no problem, awesome videos, keep up the great work!!
@@_SHaDoW6_ I agree. I also ordered various Apple Watch ultra body protector. It gave me the sense of security but at the same time it looked hideous. Plus it felt it the protector was covering the beautiful titanium body which needs to be seen
I would definitely not cover my new Ultra with that. Looks cheap!
Eww no point need the bumper 😂.
I almost agree because it ruins the beauty of the watch. But you also gotta protect the beauty!
I’ve scratched the titanium on mine, a bumper case would’ve helped
@@Iambatman1939 finally someone speaking sense. titanium still gets dings and scratches...
The question is why put something on top of the watch ultra? I dont get it. You paid top money just to put something on top of it. Watch ultra is what it is exactly.
Very true! But many wouldn’t wanna scratch up such a nice product hence cases are always made.
Just wondering 🤔 why a case for a indestructible watch? 😂
As far as being indestructible it does get hairline scratches on the titanium casing. Sadly I experienced that the hard way quite early
😂 lol the ultra doesn’t need a case it all ready looks like a brick 🧱
Screen protector? Ok. The whole cover? I think that’s too much.
This device doesn’t need protection, it’s a tank, only severe abuse will damage it
No one needs this, the only thing the average person will bump there watch into is a jelly donut.
I got this watch to replace a Garmin that I use when working out. I’ve whacked that and cracked the screen. Bought a replacement, and I’ve used screen protectors ever since. Cracked 2 or 3 of those, but the screen is still intact. I decided to use the tempered glass screen protectors on my Ultra.
Imagine being this paranoid
Ridiculous product. Anyone using this on an Ultra should be embarrassed.
Covering super strong titanium body and sapphire glass with very cheap piece of plastic is funny. Your watch look awful now.
Terrible
more big with case
