You gotta love Adam, not only did he incorporate a "new wave"/punk/post punk/rockabilly, sensibility in his music, totally unheard of in the early 80's, I don't think that any other act has been able to replicate his sound anywhere in the world. He has had his fair share of battles in this world, so good to see him performing.
I think a crucial part of the "Adam Ant sound" is the use of two drummers. He's a one-off, obviously, but the double drumkits doing those driving 'Burundi beats' are what made the band sound so original in the early '80s.
Just saw his Friend Or Foe Tour, waited 39 years to see him been a fan since I was 10, him and his band were frigging amazing, those drums were thumping you right in the chest. He's still got it at 65!!
Thank you Stuart for all the tunes you have given us. You have such a good original sound...and your stage costumes were second to none...the world wouldn't be the same without you. Adam Ant gets all my music love.
What he imagined and designed:...the period look mixed with a modern and totally original sound forever has me in awe. And as a young man his dancing and moves were fierce. Battling the bi polar thing and still being able to look and perform this good is amazing. Most artists with his level of talent end up dead. I'm so glad he's still with us. You are a champ Adam!!
Same i was 10 too when i first saw him on tv back in 1980 . He's better than ever now .. wow .. ps only pop/rock star iv ever had posters of on my wall .Legend
Saw adam at Gateshead sage on June 1st on his recent kings of the wild frontier tour ! Wow , he was brilliant , not bad for a 61 year old , he still has it , fantastic to hear the classic album kings sung live from start to finish , it was a great night , I would recommend anyone to go see him if you get the chance , he's a true legend , a one off , a great entertainer 👍👍🐜🐜🐜
Glad to see people are still watching this brilliant iconic performance. Saw it 'live' (certainly was recorded) but left a lasting impression.. It's tribal excitement, so much energy
He's like a fine vintage wine, although you can never have too much of him, and excessive amounts of his music only result in elevated pulses, spirits, and mood. This man has gotten me through some dark times, and he is such an advocate of mental health. I can't wait to see him in Manchester in November!
I love this live version of Vince Taylor. He sings it with so much energy and vitality unlike the album version, which sounds like he’s about to fall asleep. Even though the album “BlueBlack Hussar” has a charm to it, I still can’t help but be a little bitter about his lack of production on that album. But still.......Long live Adam Ant! Once an Antperson, always an Antperson!
Cant even exdpress how awesome the live show is....you cant judge him til you see him live, and then you can't get enough. Awesome post, thanks. It is my fave live version of Vijnce Taylor on youtube. :) Tam
I used to have a hat like that. I always wore it. Then my boss told me to remove it when I represented clients in court as it didn't represent them in a favorable light. Ah well back to the wig.
Looking forward to seeing him tomorrow on his tour,,, , was superb last time,, the atmosphere was electric... plus for a 61 yr old hes still "got it" :-)
Yeah, after song written & performed; a guitar shoud be signatured for him! (that's what I am thinking, ADAM ANT rendering a tribute song to a Guitar brand, never thought VT is a music personality)
I'm not a Blur fan. However, I remember making this comparison at the height of Blur's fame in the mid-nineties. The Blur adherents at the time thought I was blaspheming. Nevertheless, I was right! I agree 100%.
Fucking love this track live The album version just didn’t sound as pure as it does live. Regards Daman Albarn and Blur Early 80’s Adam & Duran are huge influences on Blur But one thing is sure Adam Ant , Duran , and all the post punk dark disco new wave Is an era to never be dissed Muisc pure and energy to lift any mood
Great Reboot of "Antmusic'. Crikey I remember this from 40 years ago, my first year at secondary school, and it's still a brilliant Track. A brave, open, and honest way to 'Comeback. All the Best to You Adam. 🎶👌💟✊
Was fortunate enough to see The Prince Charming Review and Friend or Foe tour back in the early 80's and they are still to this day my favourite gigs so it was with some trepidation that I went to see Adam perform his Antics tour in July at the grand old age of 67. I needn't have worried, his energy and stage presence is still incredible and quite unique and my wife became an instant uber fan. Long may he continue.
Does Adam know HOW MUCH pleasure he still gives to his fans. I couldn't care less about the band, my ears and eyes are focussed on Adam. This was 10mins 31 seconds of pure pleasure and by the time we got to Stand and Deliver I was singing along. Got to get my Adam and the Ants LPs out now ...:)
Great vid many thanks. I was gigging myself at New Year so didn't see it live. It was an Awesome performance, very tight. Shows the work they have done with all the gigs last year. Sweeeeeet!
How good did that sound?! Outstanding. I remember when i begged by friend for years if i could have his Antmusic vinyl single back in the 80's before he did the right thing so that i could complete my Adam Ant collection! Good memories!
💗💕💗So academically adamant...still gorgeous after all these years!! 💗💕💗It would be so awesome to see Adam Ant & a few of the original band members give a legendary Rock&Roll performance again. 💗💕💗Over 25 years now, I've been really enjoyed watching PBS MyMusic-Generation with T.J. Lupinski. The program covers all genres of music of every decade & generation...the time period of the 1960'sBritish invasion & 1960'sSurfin'USA are my favorites. Right now, the producer T.J. Lupinski has placed in the PBS program line-up “It's What's Happenin', Baby" featuring Allen the “K”...so much fun! 💗💕💗I hope T.J. Lupinski remember to get in touch with Adam Ant & the Ants, Bow Wow Wow, Siouxsie & the Banshees when MyMusic-Generation covers 1980's👩🏾🎤NEW➿WAVE👩🏾🎤!!!
There's still been nothing better on Jools' show since this. RIP Tom Edwards, who also played guitar for Fields of the Nephilim.

Adam is reality, it's the other stuff that's not real
So grateful to have Adam's music in my life compared to today's rubbish. The sound of those drums are in my heart forever!
Just saw his Friend Or Foe Tour, waited 39 years to see him been a fan since I was 10, him and his band were frigging amazing, those drums were thumping you right in the chest. He's still got it at 65!!
Blimey... That blokes still got it!!!
He was my idol in 80s good on him for not changing his image just to go wth digital age. That's who he is x

Still good after all those years! A real showman.
Who could not like this? Sounded fantastic! Great job all around. Also a great memory from the past. Thank you Adam! ...And thank you Jools!

venustus129 Very jealous
From Italy, can't come. The passport, more than the pound sterling.
Pure artistic quality just as it was in the early 80's. I'm still a fan.
He was and is one of the things that made the 80s so great I saw him live in 82 he was fantastic...
Still got a great voice, I loved listening to the Ants when I was growing up; one of my first musical memories😎
I love Adam Ant 1980-2020 !

Love the lad to bits. Always fun and doesn't take himself too seriously unlike half of the arseholes that are so called stars today.

Great performance, I kind of still want to see Marco there though.
Yes, Marco, to see them back together would bring a tear to the eye.
trixwivstix marco was one half of the brains behind adam and the ants music and adam's solo music
Marco retired from public performance years ago sadly. I can't help dreaming that maybe one day he'll come back.
Standing ovation from me. ♥️ Adam Ant
Grande esibizione!
He was simply the most beautiful man on the planet....
Excellent!!! Nice to see Adam back on proper telly. Sachsgate lady looking gorgeous too in the black number!! Made my night watching this.
Friday Night in Brixton, The Dandy Highwayman still has it and had us rocking in the aisles! Kings of the Wild Frontiers oh yeah!!

Sounds great, looks great, ANTMUSIC LIVES
Ha Adam 🙂~ very nice brother. 💛 I told you we would have some fun😀🙏
What a top top showman!! Fantastic!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this and the music sounds better than the original records, for all of his troubles this is a shining example of a come back.
Nothing but admiration for this heroic man. Creative talents like his are twice in a lifetime.
There are piles of musicians, equally as talented, who just don''t get mainstream exposure.
Check out the Captain Crunch hat!
I'm glad Adam Ant is back doing his music!!!
Let's not.forget music is supposed to be fun and AA reminds us of that
Excellent upload!
I got kicked out for crowd suffering at Bristol and Adam ant stopped and smiled at me
Well sir, I hope you did not suffer in silence (a bit late with that, I know, but I just had to take it 😉)
Still my no 1 man ☠🖤
