Good video Jay. Things are coming along nicely. I always tell you this but the details and the step by step are great! Keep up the good work man!
I always appreciate the support my friend! Hopefully others out there will be helped by it as well!
I am a super follower of your channel. I think I've seen almost all your videos from Spain. I love the EVO Fxr. Can you be so kind as to put the subtitles in Spanish.🙏. Thank you so much. You have a good channel.
Thank you!! I've never thought of that and could possible do that in the future. I appreciate the support!
It’s not 1 1/2” inches from seated it’s 1 1/2 turns! Though I knew what you meant. 😂
Ooops! I'm glad you caught that!
Good deal compadre!
Thank you!
Hi. I own 1992 FXR and look for a new carb. Why did you choose S&S? Did you think about Mikuni HSR?
Great question, I wanted a carb that was super easy to tune and i picked up from a swap meet for a good price. If you dive into a Mikuni and get it dialed in it's definitely worth it.
My ss manifold does not have a vous hose connector, what now. ? ?
You don't have to, but i suggest getting intake that does have one.
🤘
👊💪
I've watched about 15 of these vids and they all skip the part where the enricher lever mounts to the enricher shaft. My lever doesn't seem to be closing all the way. Seems lever is hitting screw that holds back plate to head. Bike idling fast.
If it was rebuilt then it could be assembled incorrectly causing that
What size jets are you using?
.0295 and .72
What the hell is a Kline carb?
It goes by a couple of names "HD Butterfly" "Keihin butterfly" "Non CV Keihin" or just "Keihin" pre 90
Nah man, that's a Kiehin...not Kline.
@@eff_ex_argg correct, i edited my response for the correct spelling, it’s just the way I’ve said it.
The flanfes and o rings are wrong.
How?
@@freebirdsgarage You have the side of the flanges that should face the head facing toward the intake so when you tighten it down the seal won't make a seal on the head.
@@mondaincthulhu1118 That is correct, I ended up flipping the flanges.
Bruh.....you did that completely wrong. The flanges are backwards and the seals on on the wrong side.
To anyone watching this...please don't follow this if you are working on your own bike. It will not run if you install the manifold like this.
Correct, I flipped the flanges.
@@freebirdsgarageYou need to post follow up video on stuff like that dude. You have a channel dedicated to showing other people how to work on their bikes. If you do something wrong...people following along could do it too. You don't want to be responsible for messing up other peoples bikes.
It's more than flipping the flanges. The flanges need to go onto the manifold before the gaskets with the tapered side out. Then the gaskets go on with the flat side out. You need to tighten the bolts evenly with the manifold perfectly level or you will have air leaks.
Get a shop manual.
@@WiFlTn I have manual and this video was just posted, I post every Sunday. The next video would be a follow up.
