i wish the punk girl was teaching, he is not good at teaching "how to" videos, he just told us the chords and played, never told us the strumming pattern nor the arpegio, he just named the chords as he played, might as well get a chord sheet for that

why not call the chords what they really are?? there's no E minors in this song. It's an A flat minor. I don't see any problems playing it without the capo.
It's easier to talk within relative intervals than to name each chord for what it really is. There's no real difference, the interval between an e minor and a C Major is the same as between Ab minor and E major. In other words, you could choose any two chords that have the same interval between them and have the same result. The e minor name just refers to the shape that guitarists are used to, as it's easier. Playing without the capo would make it different to the original song which could confuse some people, singers in particular as they tend to sing within key of the original song or whatever key their voice is suited to. There.
Sounds like the strings being played are 5 3 2 3 4 3 (6 being the big string and 1 the small string) He also uses a slide between the Em and C on the 5th string to create the sound of a hammer on. Hope this helps.
