@@DameTech I understand your point, but also a “minimum FPS” value can be grossly misrepresentative of the 1% low FPS. People don't know what gpu usage shows here lmao. It only reads how many execution units are being utilized. It doesn't take into tye account what the frequency it's running at. 8 gen 3's gpu only has 2 execution units while a17 pro has 6. But those 2 units are far stronger than a17 pros 6. The 2 execution units might be running at 200 mhz in tye sd while apple may be using 3 units that are clocked at 100p mhz. This means tye usage will seem low on a17 pro but in reality, it's actually working very hard. The cpu is tye problem in sd soc. It just can't keep up with the gpu as a17 pro's cpu can.
Just fyi Samsungs higher gpu usage is not a bad thing. The iPhones lower gpu usage actually indicates that the cpu is being bottlenecked and this is why the iPhone is not using more gpu usage to increase the fps for both the average fps and the 1 percent lows with it dropping all the way down to 25 fps in this game. If anyone can't understand what I am stating I will simplify it so you can understand. This bottleneck means that the cpu may not be able to supply data fast enough to the GPU, causing the GPU to idle while it waits for data. This is one of the most common causes of low GPU utilization. How ever you could also be having a memory bottleneck. If your application requires a large amount of memory bandwidth, the GPU may spend a lot of time waiting for data to be transferred to or from memory. You can try to optimize memory access patterns to reduce this bottleneck. Considering that the iPhone is using 8gb of LPDDR5 ram vs the samsung s24 ultra having 12gb of LPDDR5X ram which is faster than LPDDR5 ram.

A little confused by your conclusions and opening statement. If the iPhone is faster in all the games you tested, is faster in geekbench gpu tests, and has double the compute, and only loses in Wildlife extreme, what basis is there to say the S24 has a better gpu? Answer: none. The S24 has a worse gpu. Wildlife extreme is the outlier. That’s why you don’t see Death Stranding or any RE on Android.
The S24U is one gen newer like the iPhone 15 (just remember if this phone still called to Note 24, what should release 7 months later, do you still only compare with the already one year old iPhone 15, or with the iPhone 16, what release about the same time?), and in benchmark can show you better performance, but that is only the benchnarks where they can do that, because there are no other apps where the CPU side is not in use, and when their weak side CPU also draw the power to do things, that also means less power remain for the GPU because he weaker CPU side draw more (like the game required about 2000 single core geekbench performance, the SD8G3 need to work on 90%, but the iPhone only works on 65% to reach that, and that is also heating the SoC, so the GPU side also need to use less power to compensate it)
Geekbench GPU test shouldn’t be taken seriously as it almost always doesn’t reflect how they work in games Gfxbench is a good benchmark for mobile games and 3dmark for heavier AAA style games. They do a much better job of showing the capabilities of their GPUs Iphone performs better in games that’s cpu bottlenecked (as in it barely utilizes gpu) and/or games where apple uses metal api while android uses the very old opengl instead of vulkan api, causing unnecessary load. But androids will easily surpass iphone in games that’s gpu heavy or causes excess heat because iphone has an inferior gpu and thermal management
Why samsung always acts poorly😕? Is this the gpu problem or lack of optimization ? Cause the gpu is actually stronger on android but it always acts poorly in games
@@GNLL Difference? Dude its the frame drops on the S24 Ultra. iPhone 15 Pro Max upscales from 600p to 1080p thanks to MetalFX, while A17 Pro has ray tracing capabilities too, most game developers still hasn’t implemented Ray tracing on their apps yet, this is NOT the real 1080p, we call it upscaled 1080p. this is why it has consistently stable frames. Ever heard of DLSS from Nvidia? Its out for DirectX10, 11, 12 and 12 Ultimate, for RTX 20 series and above GPUs. While Samsung has only announced ray tracing back in their S22 series. Theres no upscaler by Samsung. DLSS also has modes to upscale the graphics and resolution, those are: super performance, performance, normal, quality, and high quality. High quality is upscaled to 4K, while Super Performance is 480p, of course it all depends on the monitor you are using by the way. But High Quality is most likely 1440p for 1080p monitors
hahaha,no this time buddy, theyre both pretty much the same ,samsung just needs little bit more optimization, since it has a more powerfull gpu, once that happens, samsung is gonna dominate, and the iphone having high cpu usage and low gpu usage, indicates a cpu bottleneck
Why doesn't the iPhone max its GPU usage, like the S24 Ultra? Does it not have a good enough thermal solution to sustain its maxed out GPU usage? It makes no sense to me that they don't use the full potential of their GPU. It seems like a waste of a resource, but maybe it's more efficient for battery life and thermals. I'm sure they have their reason, but I can't see another use case that taxes the GPU more than gaming. Maybe video rending? Apple has great hardware and software, but they always seem to hold back on giving their users all the power. I mean, at that point, why even bother with putting the best if you can't utilize it? Until they fix that aspect, they won't pull in the power users from other markets.

You don't see any AAA console games on Android because they're not ported to Android devices lol.
The S24U is one gen newer like the iPhone 15 (just remember if this phone still called to Note 24, what should release 7 months later, do you still only compare with the already one year old iPhone 15, or with the iPhone 16, what release about the same time?), and in benchmark can show you better performance, but that is only the benchnarks where they can do that, because there are no other apps where the CPU side is not in use, and when their weak side CPU also draw the power to do things, that also means less power remain for the GPU because he weaker CPU side draw more (like the game required about 2000 single core geekbench performance, the SD8G3 need to work on 90%, but the iPhone only works on 65% to reach that, and that is also heating the SoC, so the GPU side also need to use less power to compensate it)
Huh? The GPU bench scores have shown the iphone being beat on plenty of other videos.
@TamasKiss-yk4st you say all this and iphone still performs worse in stress tests.
Geekbench GPU test shouldn’t be taken seriously as it almost always doesn’t reflect how they work in games
Gfxbench is a good benchmark for mobile games and 3dmark for heavier AAA style games. They do a much better job of showing the capabilities of their GPUs
Iphone performs better in games that’s cpu bottlenecked (as in it barely utilizes gpu) and/or games where apple uses metal api while android uses the very old opengl instead of vulkan api, causing unnecessary load.
S24 Ultra uses open GL;;
unleash both to 120 max settings, why not?
mainly due to perfdog requiring devices to be plugged in order to get a proper 90-120 fps readings and data.
@@DameTech I tried to look that up online, very interesting, got sources? :)
I appreciate ur efforts quite a lot
Can be found on their website. I should have clarified that this issue is only present on iOS devices
Samsung can't run it at 120 ,only the iphone has the option to run at 120
M3 Max with crossover could get on Spiderman 400fps 1080p, while RTX 4090 with Intel 1080p could only get 150fps
Lol.. not really tho😅
hahha,thats so cap bro
Red Magic 8 Pro >>> All flagship smartphones
Very excited to test once it comes to the US
isnt the redmagic 9 out yet,i think it is
I'll buy iphone if they make the island small like s24😂 iphone has better quality ngl
it up to developer who optimize the Game nothing to do with the phone itself..
@@TanveerAhmed-dk3rpSamsung doesent have upscaler techniques
@@WololoWololo2you don't even see the difference
Try with vivo x100 9300
If those monsters can run tof at 60fps they basically pass the test
As usual, Apple dominates 😂
And their fans dominates in cringeness💀
hahaha,no this time buddy, theyre both pretty much the same ,samsung just needs little bit more optimization, since it has a more powerfull gpu, once that happens, samsung is gonna dominate, and the iphone having high cpu usage and low gpu usage, indicates a cpu bottleneck
why dont u play asphlat
Game isn’t demanding as both phones run asphalt fine for quite some time.
Until they fix that aspect, they won't pull in the power users from other markets.
fps cap
the chip is already powerful , so no need to use its 100% power
It's probably the fps cap. They don't need to use more power for that 60 FPS
The s24 win becaus the iA chips control the performance give more performance That why the iphone use not 100 of the performance.
real world test go against almost all the benchmark tool, people around me try to say Apple paid geekbench for the number =) dont know how much qualcomm, samsung, xiaomi paid for the others 😂
iPhone has better graphics quality.
Still would rather use the S24U for media consumption.
15 pro max > any samsung
It's true
Me a Samsung fanboy : 😠😡🤬😈👿
A17 pro > Exynos 2400
Not true, Galaxy Note 3 is still goated.
Lol my iphone 15 pro max has consistency fps drop in wild rift but not in my s24 ultra.🤣🤣
Iphone is king 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Display Samsung win, performance iPhone win
Lemme guess, IPhone has optimized games😒
And cost less than s24u
run some emulation like YUZU, Dolphin and Aethersx
Waiting on my rog 8 Pro and I will do side by side comparisons. The iPhone sucks at emulation so the S24u needs better competition - i.e rog 8 Pro
@DameTech I know I was trolling. Iphone is as good as developers allow it to be. I find emulation a better true testament to raw power. It's also more fun!
Samsung need chip A 17 Pro
as cores dos games estão muito diferente.
Iphone is the king
Por que en este canal iphone siempre gana?
It's not about winning but it's a test. The redmagic beat the iPhone on this channel. I don't pick who wins. It's up to the company/devs to make and optimize games for phones.
Samsung again noooo I hate Samsung special with common practice the common practice is they low the performance for battery efficiency so is means the Snapdragon 8 gen 3 don't use his fullpower
if u test you should use the redmagic or the black shark or Rog
Don't care about 3 or 4 fps card about that quality of graphics and the brightness which decreases in iphone 15pm😠 looks you playing with wood phone
3-4 fps? Lol the s24 drops to 40 fps 😂
