Glad your video just randomly popped up in my feed today. I was looking at the exact same setup. I have an 8.5 in currently with a Sylvan Arms folder on a SB3 brace. I can get it in my bag,but I want it a tad bit smaller. I was also considering the PDW route this time just because.

Pro2A tactical has a 5 inch 1:5 twist .300 blackout barrel that would be great for your build. Get an aero precision adjustable gas block too so you gas adjust the gas properly for super and subsonic ammo. 👍🏻 hope this helps.

Nice man! It looks like we’re searching for the same kindof build. I want a super shorty as well. I already have a standard carbine and 10.5 in pistol and wanted something that was heavy and hard close but super stashable without a folding adapter. Although the folding adapter is an option for you as well. Thanks for the all the way in and full length measurement. I think I’m going with the 5 and and micro buffer tube. It sucks when you see the shorts and/or people don’t say or show how they function or where they get the parts. I don’t think I want to go below 5 (with a flash can) and the micro tube would be what gets it down a bit. Very cool video and I nice score. I was definitely looking at the 7.5 but I think 5 -5.5 is the sweet spot. Military Arms channel shows his Sig MPX 300 blackout tumbles at upon impact at 5.5 similar to 556 so I was sold there.

The 300BLK was developed to be used in ultra short barrels, the 556 not so much, that tiny bullet loses too much velocity in a short barrel to have much terminal ballistics left.
