Can you play Korn without active pickups? Just getting back into them and impulse bought a cheap Ibanez. The pickups looked active, but they're passive with some sort of bass boost. Will I be alright or should I cancel my order and spend another 100? My amp is decent.
I would say you can definitely get korn like tone with passives. I had a active Ibby with same pickups like Fieldy. Had to sell it than I bought a Warwick Corvette $$ that I than switched to a Warwick Corvette Active. Managed to get the korn tone on all of em.
