I love Fugazi's discography, they were impressive. All these riffs are dope af. My favs (not on this vid): Long Distance Runner Combination lock (simplest track ever, goes hard af) Fell, destroyed Break Cashout Strangelight
Fugazi, not exactly the most complicated riffs, runs, and chords but their sound was so unique, and you really nailed it. I don't have much time left on this planet. Kindly show yourself. You deserve the recognition.
Man, you rock! Let me share this: this video was the thing that ultimately hooked me up with Fugazi. I had already listened to them, but for some reason, was not enchanted with their music yet. Your video showed off how awesome their guitar sounds really are. A fundamental and distinctive trait on their music. Now I am a huge fan. Cheers!
Thank you. I'm glad you like them. I don't think I do them full justice with one guitar, as there is so much more to them but hopefully it gives people a flavour of what they are about. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video. My only comment is that Fugazi is one of the greatest bands in music history. I've got to see them many times over the years and they never let the listener down. If things are over for the band, they left on top with The Argument.
@@bloxsy_ I know that now, but believe it or not, back then, I had a lot of growing up to do. I remember the first times seeing them in 1990, the entire club flipped out when we saw Ian walk out with hair. They played over half the set and then walked off, because many of us were yelling for Minor Threat. The entire set was a back and forth between the crowd and Ian. Really stupid comments from the crowd. For me, I wanted to see them. After that I couldn't get enough of seeing them live. First time seeing them was summer of 1990 at the Jack E. Lee Theater in Akron, Ohio.
You are one of the very few people on RUclips I expect to get it right when it comes to covers. You get all the tones and nuances down almost indistinguishable from the original recordings. It’s kind of scary actually. Great job!
Ya know. I have been listening to Fugazi for decades and I never really sat and thought about how sleek their guitar riffs were. Awesome. And really nice Cyclone by the way. Giving me GAS
To return from a two month internet hiatus to find not one but TWO whole PHENOMENAL Fugazi videos from Bloxsy is equivalent to getting a pony for christmas! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Back in the day Fugazi used to come to a place called the Outhouse in Lawrence Kansas and you could see their shows for $5. I also saw a Fear there and the Jesus Lizard. I'm saw The Melvins in Lawrence Kansas at a little bar, nobody believes it but we had dinner at a Denny's Those were the good days boys
I am honestly surprised that none of the riffs from ''Epic Problem'' were included but hey, when you gotta choose lol...well done dude, gorgeous tone and articulate picking too!
Pleasantly surprised to see Furniture in this list. That's a favorite of mine but a very deep dive. And you followed it with Long Division, the song that made me fall in love with Fugazi. Great job!
nice!!!!! i wasn't expecting you to break out the bass, love it. i just started bass and it's been kinda hard to figure out waiting room for me (also i prefer to pluck) so i'll come back to this one, love the tone you have. thank you for sharing!
Waiting room is iconic but my favorite from this video is Long Division....they have a song called Argument (I think?) that has an amazing arpeggio type bridge shimmer lead thing it's only 20 seconds long
So Rad!! I can usually learn anything by ear, but smallpox champion's main riff was messing with me. Thanks, man! Nice tone too, and great playing!! >M
Great work, as these are all pretty spot on (or close enough). However, these are all Ian MacKaye riffs and it’s how they interact with Guy’s guitar parts (with the exception of the first two EPs) that makes for the real magic. “Smallpox Champion” for instance, has really interesting stuff happening from Guy on the chorus.
It's weird how everyone that didn't grow up listening to Fugazi latched onto Waiting Room when almost every other song they did was better in every way lol.
Hello Bloxy I was wondering if your cover videos get copyrighted? And if not what do you do to prevent this? Love the work as always, thank you for sharing.
Thanks! A lot of them do but not all of them. I don't use any of the original recordings and it gets recognised as a 'cover' so I get a share of the ads they put on it. I can't do anything about it, I guess I just need to do more of my own stuff.
@@bloxsy_ Thank you very much for getting back to me I appreciate it. I know we would all love to hear more of your own projects. Enjoy the rest of your day. 😁

I know I shouldn't but sometimes I resent waiting room for being the only one that really blew up. I mean it's good it's a really good but they have such a good discography of songs it hurts when that's the only song casual listeners mention. then again I have an irrational hatred for popular things so maybe that's just a me problem.
You paid Fugazi proper respect by adding the bass guitar to Turnover & Waiting Room.. much respect to you for that!
your guitar and bass tones are incredibly accurate to the actual songs. keep it up bro
Thanks mate.

They have some very complicated stuff in their catalog actually. The stuff that Guy played was kinda nuts. They just made it look easy.
@@chadwickwright2833 Foremans Dog and arpeggiator, to name just two tracks from End Hits.not easy (at least not for me)
I have to admit it, the Waiting Room reprise at the end made me smile!
Lucky to have seen them live a couple of times in London many moons ago. Brilliant band. Your riffs are fucking perfect.
You are lucky indeed. Thank you.
Saw them 4 times.

I'm so beyond happy you did a Fugazi video, one of the greatest bands ever to play a stage (no matter what it was)
These are my favorite kinds of videos. "I'm out of content ideas, here are some riffs I like." It's the best. It's fun to see those influences.
There was a time in my youth, when Repeater was in perpetual motion in my Diskman.🤘💯😊
AMAZING JOB AND SELECTION!!!!
it just truly shows how rad Fugazi is!
Can be a simple lil lick that's a riff!..
Yet it holds sooooo much power!!

waiting room has the sickest bass intro … well done as always!
Thanks!

Waiting Room is their big hit and Turnover is good too!
Sad too because they have so many songs that are way better and btw, it’s not really a hit. It’s just the most popular.
Greatest band ever with zeppelin, sabbath, stooges, and floyd, and the greatest live band ever
What a great band. Glad to see them getting the Bloxsy treatment :P
