@@amazingunreleasedalbums oh ok that makes more sense, I didn't know that. I was wondering how that got by and cruel summer didn't!
Taylor literally let her copy that song, genius
For a second I thought you weren’t going to put pump it up in here and I was about ready to freak the hell out
This dude destroying her whole career in 60 seconds 😂
I'm curious - Who do you really think is better off, Olivia or this Jermaine guy?
@@hamderv8410 Olivia was a moment and only for the girls... if you can't hit everyone like MJ & Britney you will last and that second person you mentioned is just bug on the windshield, never heard of them.
Funny because her career seems really intact to me 🤔
its impossible to create melodies and beat since its already out there. Kpop songs on the other hand ........
That's so funny she just released vampire and lots of verified RUclipsrs are commenting.. wow amazing 😮😮
“Reprimated” is the newest addition to the dictionary
The original version of these songs giving me pure nostalgia
i want him to make a song where there is not even a single similar key to someone's else song
God, "No Surprises" is a perfect song.
Its crazy how people want to take her down and not have her on top of her star perch just because of 2 Samples and she gave 50% credit to both paramore for Good 4 u, and taylor swift for deja vu. How much more does she need to suffer? Leave Olivia alone. She is only getting attacked because the industry doesn’t want there to be another number 1 artist who dominates the charts. Its just that people are ”jealousy, jealousy”. She’s an amazing singer and songwriter. Let her do her thing. She’s so popular because so many people resonate with her songs.
I mean she was also sued and paid millions 🤷♀️
Yeah fr they just want to bring her down, they're toxic af
The samples and obviously influences are exactly why I love this album! I was not upset, just impressed she had those influences. 😂
Cruel Summer has GOT to be my favourite TS song ❤
Gurl took “everything is all re used” a lil too seriously
Damn baby girl bit off everybody in the industry 🤣🤣
That’s the industry
Have you ever heard of the thing that Ed Sheeran did where with only 4 cords he could come up with any number of cord progressions that every song in pop has
😂😂😂😂😂 She's a Copycat. She's looking at everybody's book report
@@dennisovitz You mean you didn't achieve nothing. You failed not me
@@Unsweetened8618 then again keep on denying babe 😘😘
I KNEW I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT DEJA VU SOUNDS LIKE NO SURPRISES
A ton of people likes Olivia songs. There is no skipping in her Sour album. ❤
Let's just appreciate the creation of new artists.
I understand that with millions of songs now that it's basically impsosible not to have a few similarities with other songs... HOWEVER. Rodrigo has ONE album and people have pointed out very clear similarities in every song. A little sus if you ask me. And the closeness between the songs aren't like Thinking Out Loud and that one Marvin Gaye song, they are very easy to hear
It's literally just how the genre sounds. No copying, just how style works
exactly, paramore didnt deserve those rights if she didnt have inspo from them, imho the 2 songs only sound similar, but are not the same as other deaf people mentioned
I think that in the world just have soo many songsss, and one day, every songs will be equal or similar🥹
As a big fan of both Olivia Rodrigo and Paramore I see this as a absolute win 😂😂
She has five lawsuits pending now 😂
3 out of five of them are samples/interpolations
"Singer/Songwriter"💀
The funny thing is this isn’t just Olivia. Literally any artist nowadays have songs that can be related to other songs. There are only so many beats and melodies out there, so eventually you’ll have ones sounding similar.
This is only a massive problem in pop. Rock, Country, and Rap aren't dealing with this.
@@cerebralassassin2185 I agree, but these discussions always seem so targeted at Olivia when multiple other artists do it.
Have many song in the world so if them sample, you don't need care for it, just listen and love them.❤🎉
also her one step forward and tree steps back is soooo much alike new years day by Taylor swift
It is an interpolation. She even gave Taylor credit on the track.
@@_leonrdomedeiros good then
REALLLY?!?! I like one step forward, two steps back.. need to listen to taylor. Geez, i knew she could never be newer generation of Taylor Swift
@@syifams yeah but both songs are great
Guys, at the end of the day, it's not necessarily the singers fault, I have written songs and sometimes I accidentally end up writing songs similar to real songs.
That’s crazy the whole album pretty much
#1 she actually asked Taylor swift if that was ok with her or to give Olivia permission so she could release the song.. she said that she looked up to Taylor swift and used her songs style/ type because she likes the cruel summer song and Taylor is her inspiration
okay, but these are all different enough that literally who cares. . .
The owners
The taylor swift one was just sad. It literally sounded exactly alike
I don’t get it why listen to secondhand if you could just listen to the OG music. Olivia isn’t even gonna last if she’s just making her entire discography a wish version of Taylor’s. This is so embarrassing, and would not have been let of the hook had it been the the 80s/90/00s.
@@mylesriley2023yeah... after they demanded them and olivia faced backlash... you have no clue do you?
@@samraizshoaib585? They're not talking about that shut up
there's a thing called, "steal like an artist." :>>
They gave her a Grammy while actual PoC artists like BTS have churned musical gems after one after other throughout their career with their composition, lyrical verses and production quality of MVs. Like ....
I feel like the 2nd one and last one had the most similar songs🎵
How the hell did she win 3 Grammys with all that sampling??
its not sampling,just similarity
Did you complain when daft punk win theirs
The same way everyone else has. FFS this is getting painfully ridiculous.
And Lana Del Rey never won any Grammys, what a shame.
I LOVE YOU AINT THAT THE WORST THING YOU EVER HEARD!!!
Olivia Rodrigo las renovo
Awww... your shirt. I love Selena.
ok but it’s nearly impossible to create a 100% original never heard before melody in songs nowadays. theres always gonna be a song out that has a verse that sounds kinda like the verse you just came up with. it doesn’t make you a copycat and it’s definitely not a reason to hate on artists:,)
inspiration and stealing is different
its actually really not that hard, why do you think other artists aren't in the news for this every week like olivia is... you can like her songs but she is a repeat offender of this ish
When your main inspiration is Popish songs and you want to be a pop artist, the result is evident. Listen to other genres an you will see its totally posible to create a 100% original song. (not involving chord progressions)
Lol take a look at a new comer artist like Stephen Sanchez he has originality in his music and it's incredible yet people seemed to ignore him. If you think it's hard to make a new original song without sounds similar to another song then explain why does Taylor Swift always come up with a new formula in each of her albums? I don't really think it's hard but just need more creativity.
The guitar riff in Brutal has been used a lot
Well she probably just said she liked those artist and then created the similarities and that’s cool. Very courageous to want to emulate Mariah Carey and Radiohead, those specific songs, you do risk the degrade when you attempt to assimilate those outstanding sounds. She probably impressed the superiors with her courage and they gave the green light to create.
Why does she have so many songs from 2021
cuz thats her only record
that’s when her album came out
The irony of the number 1 sample with the verse saying But It's all reused.
Just wanna say...her new single vampire (intro) sounds like ”The Greatest” by lana del rey
Girl you love hating so much are you?
WE MAKING IT TO COURT WITH THIS ONE 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥‼️⁉️
Bro devoting his whole life to ruin Olivia’s career
King
My jaw dropped with every song.
LOVE THE SELENA SHIRTTTT 🎉
i swear all her songs are sampled at this point
Hey can you do a video of similarities between Gangnam Style by Psy and I am the best by 2NE1? Is it just me or you can find it too.
They have similiar tunes, yeah!
every single YG song is the same. he does not go after them because they are low hanging fruit.
Voodoo Dolls was a massive hit in Australia.
Olivia Rodrigo is the best you cant say anything to her
I’ve never noticed that Good 4 U was a sample of a Mariah Carey song
She’s back on JUNE 30
