    Where 0-5vdc is used ?
    And where 1-5vdc is used ?

      Google 0-5 V Sensor and you'll see all kinds of sensors that output 0-5VDC. The 1-5 V DC is used when converting 4 to 20 mA Current to 1 to 5 VDC Voltage using a 250 ohm precision resistor (and ohms law)

      There are 16 units between 4 and 20 mA (20 - 4 = 16)
