@@tanveerrahman8415 nah its a big difference. Alot of people are good at games simply because they found the right combo luckily. Til you find that perfect mouse and sens you wont understand
Good video. I've been playing FPS for a long time and definitely understood this, but I will say I've never seen a video explaining it as clearly as this and I hope a lot of people see it and take it on board!
best sens is the one you are comfy with, best mouse is the one you have - you can try all the combinations but its all down to preference and what feels good (ofc with getting results for you personally)
I used to play with a Red Dragon Cobra 2 FPS and then changed to a HyperX Pulsefire Haste, which is waaay more light, the difference was tremendous, It felt like I never played FPS all my life and took a long time to accept that I’d need to fit my sense all over again
Finally someone talks sense about aiming, people need to know how many factors come into play when it comes to aim. Sensitivity, mouse; mouse sensor, mouse grips (claw, palm fingertip, hybrids), mouse size, mouse weight, material used to make mouse(for a tighter grip), wrist/finger tip/ arm aimer, table height, chair height, fatigue, humidity, whether your wrist/arm is sweating or not, anxiety levels or calmness and what not. Great video man, well done. 👍 BTW I play a low edpi and realized I would aim better whenever the AC would be turned on (lol), turns out its because my arms dnt get sweaty and i can move smoothly.
Actually a useful video and not just a click bait. Hats off to you FPS Fox. I myself has been what they call a "wrist aimer" since I played MOBA all my life and I've been used to using 2800 dpi x 1sensi light mouse on a cloth pad. Everyone just kept saying I should switch and get use to 800 dpi x 0.4 or whatever they recommended because their fav. pro player used it. It'll worn my hand/arm out if I were to do that. Although I did took the advice and switched to 2800 dpi x 0.69 sensi (noice) and my aim has been a little more consistent or it could be the warm up before matches. Thanks to the video I realized I do aim with my fingers too, left/right via wrist and up/down via fingers. And that I also realized that I've been fingertip gripping all my life because I have large hands/long fingers (I'd be pressing the buttons with my phalanges if I wanna palm grip). One of the most useful videos for valorant or gaming in general under 5 minutes. Respect.
Thank you, I appreciate it, it means a lot ❤️ Apparently 1600 dpi is smoother, 3200 is the smoothest but it's barely noticeable, but many people use 800 since you can browse the web with it comfortably, ultimately it's personal preference ☺️
@@fps_fox We should be thanking you instead! I see, I shall try out 1600 x 1 sensi out for abit and see. Since I'm using 2800 x 0.69 (1932 eDPI) it's not too far. True! Boils down to personal preference + like different set-up eg. table height, size and chair height etc. You've been of great help & Thank you once again. ❤
This video is so useful. A few years ago in CS, i was playing 800 dpi on a g502. Eventually i got a 60g mm711 and was completely off on how i was playing. Eventually dropped gradually down to 400 dpi on light mice and 500 dpi on 85g or above mice to stay consistent.
@@fps_fox preference can be deceiving. I played on high sensitivity for an extremely long time and also 4:3 stretched. Blaming my lost games on other factors. I started switching things up after a break and immediately got better despite nothing feeling as natural to myself. Im still pretty average at games but Im more consistent at a higher rank. Make more of these videos. They're really useful for newer players.
I’m so glad I found another channel I can start following religiously for Valorant advice. I’ve been constantly trying to improve and since I can’t play as much as I used to because of office work, I’m so glad you are creating videos that go straight to the point, concise and just the right amount of pace in your speech to keep me interested in what you’re saying. Thank you for making these videos and it seems your channel is relatively new so I am really looking to forward to the other content you’re planning to put out!

I have a small desk tho for my keyboard and mouse so I'm kinda forced to use wrist for my mouse and I don't have the money to upgrade or the desk nor the extra room to do so since I have a lot of things I need to do before I can even think of upgrading the desk. Is there like any advice for me? I use 0.327 and 1600 dpi but I just can't hit shots I've tried 0.2 with 1600 dpi-1800 dpi I've tried 0.3-0.6 sensitivities with different kind of dpis I've even tried a lower dpi like 800 with my mouse space and that didn't work at all since I couldn't turn in time for enemies behind me and even with all of that I've tried I just can't hit shots and I know I'm pretty bad at the game but I mean I even use death match, unrateds, the range, aimlabs time to time, etc to warmup my aim but idk what else to try at this point
First get comfortable with a sens, if you have a low sens and not enough desk space, yeah you may not be able to turn around and do flick shots, but work on cross hair placement and positioning which can help you in gun fights
this actually helped dude , matter of fact i never looked in these stuff and like i didnt even think that those things wud matter , i appreciate it , I am def subscribing and recommending your channel to my friends , keep up the good work!
I've been playing FPS for 2 years+, nearly 3 years and until recently only I find the most suitable setup for me. Been using 4 mice, until 2 months ago I get my Lamzu Atlantis Mini, finally I feel that:" Damn is this mouse customized for me?" For the pad, been switching from GSR to Artisan Hayate Otsu, and recently get a GSR-SE Rouge, and from that time my aim improved drastically. For those sweaty hands as me, I will recommend to wear sleeves to glide better and also avoid to drench your mousepads. Now I switch my mousepads between different games, and yeah, it takes time to find your optimal setup. but it deserve the time.
also I remember a guy used a machine to precisely move a mouse so that he can test if 400 dpi (more or less) on one mouse is the same as 400 dpi on another and it was not, he tried on a few others and found that the range can vary up to around 30%
another thing, you dont have to specifically do arm aiming or wrist or fingertip, you can switch it up on the fly for whatever situation, also a biggggg factor to how your aim feels is your desktops sens cuz thats what you will be using 9999% of ur time on the pc. your "natural sensitivity" comes from that atleast imo. i can go anywhere from 65cm/360 to 25cm/360 comfortably, as long as i change my desktop sens to get close to how it feels ingame, also different fovs and sensitivity scales between games are gonna be different, i play csgo around 65ish mostly and i play apex at 25-30, thats just what feels comfortable, and probably the most important thing for hitting your shots is comfort. if you feel comfy in whatever sens your playing youre not really thinking about your mouse and crosshair and where you need to aim and bla bla bla, you just move your hand naturally and there isnt a lot of processing your doing, ive been trying this stuff out the past year or so and ive noticed my aim is more precise, faster, and consistent when i stop thinking about it all and just aim. you just gotta find whats natural for you, also constantly changing your sens around will help alot in rounding out your aim skill
I learned this by going from a Death Adder to a Viper v2 Pro. It was about 23 grams lighter and I had to nearly half my sensitivity to make it feel comfortable.
2:12 i also had the same feeling with my QCK mouse pad. I washed it poorly (because i didn't know how to wash it good) and i still felt worn. I bought another one, but after some time the same problem occurred. The mose pad is just dirty as fuck, not worn. After a good wash it feels brand new, even after few years.
Few factors to consider as well is how close you are to the desk when playing (arm position), if you’re wearing long sleeves. They could both affect the mouse movement
Your video completely changes my perspective on Sensitivity and shows some perspective i and many people like me never thought of Awesome video keep it up 🙏
Very good video, I’d like to also point out about training your aim. I have done both styles of training my aim. I first tried having my same in-game sensitivity and my Kovaaks (or whatever aim trainer you use) the exact same. I have discovered that all it takes to be a good aimer is to have good mouse control, your sensitivity doesn’t necessarily matter if you have good mouse control, you can have sensitivity ranges that you prefer and feel more consistent results on. But just about any good aimer can adapt to any sensitivity fairly quickly. This notion about needing to use the same sensitivity for years to get the muscle memory down is not worth it. I recommend that you find a sensitivity that you like the feeling of looking around on the most and training on that sensitivity to get better aim. Back on topic of what I was getting at. When you aim train (not when you are playing comp games or whatnot, but solely aim training) you should double your sensitivity and aim train on that. It will point out all the flaws in your raw aim immediately that you yourself can bare witness to. When you train on very high sens (9-20 cm 360) once you go to play your matches your aim will feel way more controlled and less shaky and you will be more consistent. Your brain adapts very quickly to sensitivity changes. Once I started training my aim on a 17 cm 360 when I play valorant on a 37 cm 360. I noticed the benefits immediately and you can see your own progress day by day, week by week. Of your aim becoming a lot more solid and consistent.
I agree that changing sensitivity once in a while helps put into perspective where you are in your sens, e.g. I play on a fairly low sens, but on a higher sens i can check my corners faster without needing to swipe my arm on my mousepad
@@fps_fox I really like about a 35-37 cm 360 sens, I feel like if I go too fast, my aim becomes lazy and I auto pilot when I aim more. But I absolutely hate running out of mousepad. So anything above a 40 cm 360 is too slow for my liking, anything under 35 and I become way more likely to auto pilot my aim, especially after a 12 hour shift at work. I aim train on a 13 cm 360 though (previously was 17 cm 360)
there is also another factor DPI deviation. where a dpi setting on your mouse slightly deviates from its reported setting and this deviation varies between mice. so your friends or pros sense wont actually feel the same on your mouse
@@nirmals2389 And again, it's extremely negligable and no one has ever noticed it in higher-end mice. That was the point of my original comment. The deviation is so miniscule that there is no point in even considering it in purchasing a mouse thats at least $80+ because all sensors at that range are not different enough to warrant looking into it. You're better off buying a mouse that fits your hand like a glove even if it has 0.001 more dpi deviation than a G Pro that might have 0.00000000001 dpi deviation.
Dude, this video really hit the mark. I use 800 DPI with a .2 sens. I just rencently switched from a g502 to a superlight. I had to pause for a second when you said that lol.
For me, it's actually hard to find your sens in valorant. I am iron 3 and I just started playing the game with 0.9 sens and 1200 mouse dpi, but a lot of pro videos I watched always recommend to have low sens if you're below immortal which seems very hard for me cuz I only have small mousepad. I'm comfortable with 0.9 sens tho cuz I'm a Raze main and I always have to "Flick + satchel" in some instances to reposition myself. However, due to a high sens, I am struggling to aim especially when I strafe and shoot, cuz it's hard for me to micro-flick that makes me lose most of my gunfight. This video kinda helped me decide on what to stick with, maybe I need to practice more in order to play well with my high sens.
yo. i literally had the same idea and also a different one for equipment. . but good explaination. all the other guides just focus on pros but not the individual gamers.
Also how low your chair is (arm to table force), how high or low your monitor is (angle of which you view the game), how close your monitor is (what i have noticed is that if i have my monitor closer to my eyes my sens will feel way faster). Long story short is honestly find a seating position which you feel comfortable on, a height and distance for your monitor so you can sit and play for a long period of time without your neck feeling sore, because all of this play a huge part in consistency especially for tactical fps games.
other essentials people could use to improve their aim is by using mouse grip tape in which helps have a better grip with your fingers and using better mouse skates since some default skates don't travel as much depending on the mouse pad surface one is using.
i played on an OW team with Hoya and the way he spoke about mousepads was insanely confusing to me, I had no idea so many factors went into a mousepad.
Some mice also have higher or lower senser placement. If the sensor is lower the mouse will feel slower compared to a mouse with a higher up senser on the same sensitivity.
Can you give us a short comment about posture ? My posture is laid back and not a strait back so I got used to wrist aiming, so sitting up the proper way and having my whole arm on the mousepad is just alien to me. Probably limits my potential but was just curious what you think. A bit of an older video but still really good. Thanks for making it
In terms of posture, ergonomically the healthiest way is to be at a 90 degree angle bent at your knees and elbows and having an arms length from your eyes to the monitor. and your eyes should be at the level matching the top half of the monitor. ^ That is if you want to be ergonomically healthy. But as you may have seen, a lot of streamers don't follow that ruleset, as they have the monitor so close up to their face etc, I would say whatever is consistent for you and doesn't ache your neck/back or arms/shoulder etc. I used to play where my neck would ache then I started looking into ergonomics, turns out I was looking too down at my monitor and the distance from my eyes to the monitor were too close. Now thankfully, I no longer have that issue because I put my monitor further back and increased the height of it. TL:DR = Find a position you can consistently be in everyday and something that isn't going to cause pain/aches.
this is completely true Ive been playing logitech 203 and pretty much gathered all the muscle memory in the world reach immo 2 and then it broke and I tried viper mini and god it was too high due to weight alone. Brought my sensitivity 30% and still does not feel the same. would buy another 203 soon
Only other thing I would say is that a lot of gamers won't be able to buy new equipment so find what works well for what you have. Changing mouse sense everyday isn't good for building muscle memory so it shouldn't be done constantly. Find a mouse sense you can work with and just practice, overtime you'll get used to whatever you set it to and you'll do better than if you changed your sense over and over. Equipment will play into what you can do so like one of my friends played with a tiny mouse pad so his sense was cranked almost to max because he literally had to and another plays with an office mouse but they're much higher rank than I am. Equipment will matter to figure out how you want to tune your settings but it won't limit you as a player.
I agree, my point in this video is that you should do what's comfortable for you, and not rely on popular player or content creator's sensitivities , because their experience will be different, this video isn't about getting better equipment, it's saying that if you have 2 different mice with same sens, it may not be the same feeling when moving your cursor around
Arm length is very important for arm aimers and where you pivot. I tend to play lower sense (even low for arm aiming) but I’m a taller person and I pivot at my elbow so my sense still feels very usable, especially after I bought a lower friction mouse pad (which tend to be better as you go lower in sense because it reduces flick time. At higher sensitivities, having the ability to stop the mouse accurately at short strokes tends to be better).
I agree, typically the combo is light mouse with slow mousepad or heavy mouse with fast mousepad, if you can use light mouse and fast mousepad then fair enough, I personally can't
@@fps_fox The pad isn’t really considered low friction. I think it is considered medium, but it feels a lot lower than the pad I use to use, which was specifically designed to be a high friction pad
I've gone through quite a few pads and mice. Currently getting used to G-Wolves HSK Pro on my SkyPAD 3.0. love it so far. This pad gonna last me forever
After being on the Qck Heavy L with the steelseries rival 310, it's a little harder to aim. I use lightweight mice (Xtrfy M4 now Pulsar X2 Wireless) on the Qck Heavy xxl and it is perfect.
In my experience in aiming I don't think there is muscle memory but more muscle mind connection. For me i can easily change up my sensitivity from time to time and still aim as well if not sometimes better.
I get what you mean, your body can adapt and learn a sensitivity , which is why you see how pros like Tenz can change sensitivity mid game and still hit shots, but I feel for some people it probably is a better idea to have consistent variables that way they can focus on other aspects of aiming
i got the G502X after owninng the GPX Superlight for a year, and GODDAMN the difference is HUGE, for FPS its almost impossible to go back to a heavier mouse, i still use the G502X Plus for overall gaming and use but i can't play Valorant in it, i just can't , the worst part of having a heavy mouse is lifting it to do wide movements, even more so with low sens like i play with, it IS a really huge difference Also, please make yourself a favor and get an Artisan Mousepad, they are godlike
It depends on the combination with the mouse pad , if you use a g502 with a glasspad the friction will be less so it won't feel as "heavy". And yeah I have a Saturn pro which is similar to the artisans 😊
I'll never understand how it works, like your example of 0.2 with 800 DPI is ULTRA SUPRA MEGA slow, I can't even make a 360 with my all mouse pad ? How do people play with it
I used to play on high edpi but eventually you get used to it, and keep in mind it might be hard to do a 360 on a cloth mousepad , but on a glasspad , since there is less friction, I believe it is faster than doing it on cloth
A lot of you don’t have to worry about any this. Your brain isn’t stupid and will adapt really quickly. If you constantly change sens, yes you will perform worse because you’re not used to that sens. You don’t have to change the sens to something you are more confortable with, you can just leave the sens as is, and it will become confortable. Your mouse pad being dirty doesn’t matter because your brain will adapt to it. Having a mousepad is more of an aesthetic choice for your setup especially if you have a mouse with skates. A lot of you guys just need to play the game and stop worrying about other factors that your brain will just get used to. If you have the money to get new stuff for your setup, then go for it or don’t worry about it.
I agree with the brain adapting, however, my point is that if you see your favourite player with a sens of 0.2 800 dpi, don't just copy thinking that's the right sens for you, the point of this video is that your sensitivity is unique to you because of variables as mentioned, this video is not saying buy a specific mouse or mousepad etc, it's saying don't look at other people's sens and assume you'll have the same experience, because that's not the case
Keep making videos of this quality even if it means lowering your output. One of these is bound to catch the algorithm and you’ll blow up to a few thousand overnight. Coming from experience (not a big channel), it isn’t easy, but you got this.
Thank you! I would have high enough sens where you can have your range of motion but low enough where you can do micro-adjustments, if it's too low you will use your wrist or arm, so that's up to you if you want that included as part of your play
After years of playin FPS games you eventually realise these things, thatswhy I wash my mousepads regularly, clean my keyboard and mouse... trust me all this matters and muscle memory is also very crucial.
@@fps_fox I owned a mini steelseries nmusepad before changing and i can guarantee you that the mouse moved way faster once i got the hyperX one. It is definitely super good
Dear FPS Fox, I would HIGHLY recommend you to watch a video about DPI Deviation (hopefully spelled right) and update this video since this factor is in my Opinion a larger Influence to sens than everything else you mentioned in this video. Great Video tho, really enjoied it! If you cant find it I can look for it and edit the Link into the comment.
good video and good info (muscle memory is still kinda disputed/disliked in the aiming community but it's easier for others to understand) only thing that i wanna say on this is that while things can effect ur sens, u can always adapt to it and train ur mouse control to do better regardless of the way u aim/grip ur mouse
Yeah for sure, you can definitely adapt, but I wanted to highlight things which maybe some players aren't aware of which can affect their sensitivity experience
There are plenty out there, I think the Razer Death adder V3 is for medium to large hands and is lightweight. Steelseries and Roccat have larger lightweight mice too
@@fps_fox yeah I was a DeathAdder 3.5G guy for like 8 years but unfortunately the new DeathAdders are significantly smaller and don't do it for me the same way. I've been on the Corsair SABRE PRO for about 2 years now and it's not bad but nowhere near the old DeathAdder.
@@fps_fox Yes, hand size, mouse shape ect everyone is different but i can totally recommend the v3 since its an ergonomic shape. What mouse do you use?
Try the viper mini since it's cheaper and very good quality, if you like that then you'll probably like the lamzu and pulsar X2 if you want a wireless mouse
What you say in this video is very true and I typically prefer a heavier mouse with a semi medium resistence mouse surface/pad. I have a G502X and chose this over the Superlight when the proces were similar on Black friday because I play on a high sens (0.45 on 1600dpi) in a game especially like valorant where precision matters I need some resistance to get a good stop without straining my hands way to much to hit the necessary headshots. I am sticking to this high sens because I switch between BR games as well as shooter games like Valorant and so I would need to turn quick 360s way more often in BR games which is easier with a high sens. I am slowly trying to reduce the sens now ever so slightly weekly while aim training becuase I don't htink a high sens is in any way healthy for the joints
Yeah if I play games besides Valorant It is tough especially something like BRs but you can find a balance to have the same sens for both genres of games
a coach of a pro said a glass mouse pad would in theory be the best because of the consistency of the glide making you know exactly what the mouse will do with your sensitivity but the learning curve is too big thats why people hesitate
You also forgot that there is a DPI deviation, so you can´t trust the settings someone has unless you have the same mouse and mousepad, cause it varies through mouse and mousepad. For example overhyper finalmouse has insanely high DPI deviation over any other mouse, so if you would like to say, copy Tenz settings, not only he plays on one of the lightest mices, it also has higher dpi deviation.
@@fps_fox Yeah that is a great idea! But it´s also a needed some tools if you would measure it by yourself, but it´s not needed you can find some info about it on youtube/google and just tell people what to look and be carefull about and I also go by the rule, that I measure 30 cm of mousepad to turn 360° I´m COD player, then I adjust my sensitivity, and ADS sesitivity according to my prefference, there is a a lot of to debate on how to find a perfect settings. I´m also on Pulsar Superglides that´s a whole another level on gaming 😃
How exactly does amount of energy it takes to move mouse (mouse weight) changes your accuracy? Sure, for mousepad wear it would, because it would add inconsistencies in pad resistance. I don't see what difference it makes for weight.
I didn't say it changes accuracy, I said the feel of moving for example a g502 vs a superlight is going to be different even if it's same sens because there is a weight difference
i bought like 7 mouse to find whats the best fit on my hand. the most important thing about mouse is the shape for me, second the weight, its so much difference between a 60gr, 55gr, and 50gr u kinda need some times to adapt. and also depends on the game, such as league is sucks using lightweight and wireless cause how hard it is to control the cursor even after weeks to adapt i still cant. i have 2 main mice right now, 1 for FPS and 1 for other things
Equipment matters and alot of people overlook it. Probably because it's been normalized that most players have mid to high end mice. Pad and grip style is something that also takes time to figure out
I use a higher DPI on larger mice to allow for more inner hand motions than on mice that don't sit as far back in the palm. That is something about dpi a lot of people don't consider.
@@fps_fox micro adjustments. sometimes it's like hitting a brick wall on 400 dpi with a fat ergo mouse, but if I do 800, or sometimes 1600, it registers tinier motions, so I get more micro adjustability in less space. Like on the EC2 I used 800 dpi because of how restrictive the shape was, but on the NP-01s I use 400 because the mouse can kinda roll around in my palm a lot more, even with it jammed up into the bottom of my palm. Also it takes less effort to stabilize at 400 on that mouse where the EC2 is inherently stable.
@@fps_fox I don't use it anymore, I climbed to around D3-immo 1 (Before Ascendant was added) and constantly had wrist pain in my right wrist since I also play drums and basketball
used to play on rival 3 which is 77 grams and got a g pro x superlight which is 63. played on .55 800 so i counted that i should use around -15% from my basic sens. so now i use 0.467 800 dpi.
Really hard and painfully when your mouse in 112g, with 0,34 and 800dpi... So i'm using 0.7-1.0 and 600dpi just like using 0,34 and 800dpi but in heavy mouse
I play on 0.18 sens and have the Logitech g pro super light and a glorious mousepad and I can assure you that it makes a big difference. Even if you play on low sens, you can do flicks and stuff easily
I call the BS about the mouse weight thing, imho the problem for most people is having a to sensitive mouse where every micro movement effects it. Turn down DPI or reduce the hz on yout mouse so it stands more still, or reduce your sens ingame and try acceleration because you can then have very low sens and 360 turns with ease. If your not a grinder this should be tested
this is sooo true, im currently living in a diff city n couldnt bring my setup w me so im playing at a pc cafe, the mouse is smaller n lighter and the pad is a hardpad when mine is a clothpad, had to lower my sens by quite a bit

best sens is the one you are comfy with, best mouse is the one you have - you can try all the combinations but its all down to preference and what feels good (ofc with getting results for you personally)
Yes exactly, I agree ☺️

Gaming mice are only getting lighter, finding the right fit for you is key as some people prefer heavier, but I'd say shape is 1st priority
Finally someone talks sense about aiming, people need to know how many factors come into play when it comes to aim.
Sensitivity, mouse; mouse sensor, mouse grips (claw, palm fingertip, hybrids), mouse size, mouse weight, material used to make mouse(for a tighter grip), wrist/finger tip/ arm aimer,
table height, chair height, fatigue, humidity, whether your wrist/arm is sweating or not, anxiety levels or calmness and what not.
Great video man, well done. 👍
BTW I play a low edpi and realized I would aim better whenever the AC would be turned on (lol), turns out its because my arms dnt get sweaty and i can move smoothly.
Thank you I appreciate it 😊 and yeah you're right many factors play into it , including what you mentioned

I use 1600 x 0.5 in valorant , and i am a wrist aimer. Only of my friends uses 800x0.27 , i can only imagine how that will be
This video is so useful. A few years ago in CS, i was playing 800 dpi on a g502. Eventually i got a 60g mm711 and was completely off on how i was playing. Eventually dropped gradually down to 400 dpi on light mice and 500 dpi on 85g or above mice to stay consistent.
It's all personal preference, there are many factors which make your sensitivity unique to you
@@fps_fox preference can be deceiving.

Just to make you feel better, there's a pro player called f0rsakeN who uses 0.712, 800 dpi, almost the same as your sens

Been using 4 mice, until 2 months ago I get my Lamzu Atlantis Mini, finally I feel that:" Damn is this mouse customized for me?"
For the pad, been switching from GSR to Artisan Hayate Otsu, and recently get a GSR-SE Rouge, and from that time my aim improved drastically. For those sweaty hands as me, I will recommend to wear sleeves to glide better and also avoid to drench your mousepads.
Now I switch my mousepads between different games, and yeah, it takes time to find your optimal setup. but it deserve the time.
I use a sleeve too especially if some days it's warm and your arm is sweaty Vs when it's cold, what's the difference between gsr and gsr rouge?
also I remember a guy used a machine to precisely move a mouse so that he can test if 400 dpi (more or less) on one mouse is the same as 400 dpi on another and it was not, he tried on a few others and found that the range can vary up to around 30%
Yeah I forgot to mention dpi deviation but that also plays a factor, which emphasises the point that your sensitivity is unique to you
I use a Viper V2 with a Razer Strider pad and sadly, I don't see it on the doc.
How is the strider pad?
@fps_fox I like it a lot for a hybrid pad. I wash it like twice a month, and it feels pretty good afterward.
This was actually much more helpful than i expected! thank you!
I'm glad it helped, you're welcome 😊
another thing, you dont have to specifically do arm aiming or wrist or fingertip, you can switch it up on the fly for whatever situation, also a biggggg factor to how your aim feels is your desktops sens cuz thats what you will be using 9999% of ur time on the pc. your "natural sensitivity" comes from that atleast imo. i can go anywhere from 65cm/360 to 25cm/360 comfortably, as long as i change my desktop sens to get close to how it feels ingame, also different fovs and sensitivity scales between games are gonna be different, i play csgo around 65ish mostly and i play apex at 25-30, thats just what feels comfortable, and probably the most important thing for hitting your shots is comfort. if you feel comfy in whatever sens your playing youre not really thinking about your mouse and crosshair and where you need to aim and bla bla bla, you just move your hand naturally and there isnt a lot of processing your doing, ive been trying this stuff out the past year or so and ive noticed my aim is more precise, faster, and consistent when i stop thinking about it all and just aim. you just gotta find whats natural for you, also constantly changing your sens around will help alot in rounding out your aim skill
I learned this by going from a Death Adder to a Viper v2 Pro. It was about 23 grams lighter and I had to nearly half my sensitivity to make it feel comfortable.
Yeah exactly, gotta change it to fit your personal preference ☺️
2:12 i also had the same feeling with my QCK mouse pad. I washed it poorly (because i didn't know how to wash it good) and i still felt worn.
I bought another one, but after some time the same problem occurred. The mose pad is just dirty as fuck, not worn. After a good wash it feels brand new, even after few years.
Yeah washing mousepads is quite specific, but once done properly, apparently it has a great new feel
Few factors to consider as well is how close you are to the desk when playing (arm position), if you’re wearing long sleeves. They could both affect the mouse movement
Yeah, I use an arm sleeve since my forearms could affect my movement depending how warm it is
so underrated, keep up the great work and youll get far
Thank you , it means alot ☺️
Your video completely changes my perspective on Sensitivity and shows some perspective i and many people like me never thought of

I aim train on a 13 cm 360 though (previously was 17 cm 360)
this simple one is cool , nice vid BTW !
Thank you, I appreciate it ☺️❤️
This video changed everything and opened my eyes lol
I hope it helped ☺️
there is also another factor DPI deviation. where a dpi setting on your mouse slightly deviates from its reported setting and this deviation varies between mice. so your friends or pros sense wont actually feel the same on your mouse
Yeah I agree, I forgot to mention that
the only way this affects anyone is if youre using some dogshit mouse
@@FalseF4CZ most mice have dpi deviation, even the g pro, although to a smaller degree.
You're better off buying a mouse that fits your hand like a glove even if it has 0.001 more dpi deviation than a G Pro that might have 0.00000000001 dpi deviation.
a quote from my late father, tigs "this changes everything" amen
My condolences ❤️
great video. i wanna add that the mouse skates used can also affect things
Yeah, I agree !
Also you have to factor dpi deviation from mouse to mouse. That’s something people don’t think about or even know it exists
Yeah I forgot to mention it, but I agree that is also a reason why your sensitivity is unique to you
Dude, this video really hit the mark. I use 800 DPI with a .2 sens. I just rencently switched from a g502 to a superlight. I had to pause for a second when you said that lol.
I just know the awesome people that watch my content 😎
Yeah same I play at .23 though 😂
It's about using a sensitivity which works for you
yo. i literally had the same idea and also a different one for equipment. . but good explaination. all the other guides just focus on pros but not the individual gamers.
Thank you I appreciate it 😊
Good video bro. To the point with very good info
Thank you I appreciate it 😊
Also how low your chair is (arm to table force), how high or low your monitor is (angle of which you view the game), how close your monitor is (what i have noticed is that if i have my monitor closer to my eyes my sens will feel way faster). Long story short is honestly find a seating position which you feel comfortable on, a height and distance for your monitor so you can sit and play for a long period of time without your neck feeling sore, because all of this play a huge part in consistency especially for tactical fps games.
Yeah I agree that having the same seating and arm arrangements etc helps be more consistent, especially if arm aiming
other essentials people could use to improve their aim is by using mouse grip tape in which helps have a better grip with your fingers and using better mouse skates since some default skates don't travel as much depending on the mouse pad surface one is using.
Yeah that is true, there are so many things to consider if you get into the details
i played on an OW team with Hoya and the way he spoke about mousepads was insanely confusing to me, I had no idea so many factors went into a mousepad.
Oh wow that's pretty cool! And yeah I didn't think much about it too until I wanted to play more FPS games
Some mice also have higher or lower senser placement. If the sensor is lower the mouse will feel slower compared to a mouse with a higher up senser on the same sensitivity.
You're right, that's also a factor 👍
The editing and content is amazing i was shocked when i saw your sub count keep it up!

this is completely true Ive been playing logitech 203 and pretty much gathered all the muscle memory in the world reach immo 2 and then it broke and I tried viper mini and god it was too high due to weight alone. Brought my sensitivity 30% and still does not feel the same. would buy another 203 soon
yeah there is quite a difference, it's all personal preference at the end of the day 😊
Keep up the good content man, subbed 💪
Thank you! I appreciate it !💪
you choose my exact sens as the example, also just flipped my mousepad around and feels much smoother now, might be time for me to buy a new one soon
Yeah probably a sign to get a new one or wash it
me as sea player who plays in internet cafe with different gear everytime : I NEED MY OWN PC I GUESS
😂😂
You're very underrated. great vid

I started a month ago, I appreciate the kind words ☺️
this is why I always go back into the settings to mess with my sensitivity when I get a new mouse. just got a lighter mouse so had to lower it a bit
I did the same 😎
I've gone through quite a few pads and mice. Currently getting used to G-Wolves HSK Pro on my SkyPAD 3.0. love it so far. This pad gonna last me forever
How is the Hsk pro? I was considering it but worried about it being too small
After being on the Qck Heavy L with the steelseries rival 310, it's a little harder to aim. I use lightweight mice (Xtrfy M4 now Pulsar X2 Wireless) on the Qck Heavy xxl and it is perfect.
The pulsar x2 is an awesome mouse! And qck is always a good choice 👍
Wow you’re the strongest person in the world 🤭
@@lawrenceeeeee Thank you black panther😂
I have 0.5 sensitivity, 1600 dpi and wrist gamer
very detailed analysis man :)
Thank you I appreciate it ☺️
I have a SS Qck that I have been using for 6 years+, there is a big spot on the pad thats grey instead of black, its like a deadzone
I had a similar issue with my qck, not all mousepads can last long without having a difference in feel
i got the G502X after owninng the GPX Superlight for a year, and GODDAMN the difference is HUGE, for FPS its almost impossible to go back to a heavier mouse, i still use the G502X Plus for overall gaming and use but i can't play Valorant in it, i just can't , the worst part of having a heavy mouse is lifting it to do wide movements, even more so with low sens like i play with, it IS a really huge difference
Also, please make yourself a favor and get an Artisan Mousepad, they are godlike
Your views are already impressive too!
Thank you! I appreciate it ❤️
Great video, would you recommend high or low sens for fingertip?
Thank you! I would have high enough sens where you can have your range of motion but low enough where you can do micro-adjustments, if it's too low you will use your wrist or arm, so that's up to you if you want that included as part of your play
if you keep this up you have big things coming
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words
After years of playin FPS games you eventually realise these things, thatswhy I wash my mousepads regularly, clean my keyboard and mouse... trust me all this matters and muscle memory is also very crucial.
I started noticing when I switched mice and mousepads and was like holdon this feels different
G502 to Glorious Model D. The amount of times I had to re-aim after flicking the first few times😅.
Takes time to adjust to a new mouse

Thank you ! I appreciate the support ❤😊
good video and good info (muscle memory is still kinda disputed/disliked in the aiming community but it's easier for others to understand)
only thing that i wanna say on this is that while things can effect ur sens, u can always adapt to it and train ur mouse control to do better regardless of the way u aim/grip ur mouse
Yeah for sure, you can definitely adapt, but I wanted to highlight things which maybe some players aren't aware of which can affect their sensitivity experience
I unfortunately love light both mice and giant mice so finding mice that work has been a struggle.
@@mckinleyostvig7135a Good mouse for large hands is the darmoshark M3, it's 40€ with a 3395 sensor, and it only weighs like 55 grams
Nice vid, i prefer slightly heavier mice but not too heavy. Used alot of Deathadder V3 recently but going back to G303 atm
Thank you! I hear the V3 is really good, but ultimately it's personal preference
@@fps_fox Yes, hand size, mouse shape ect everyone is different but i can totally recommend the v3 since its an ergonomic shape. What mouse do you use?
Yeah shape is king > weight in my opinion, I recently got the Lamzu Atlantis Mini, and I'm loving it so far 😎
@@fps_fox Nice! Im so curious to try smaller mice. Hopefully soon
Try the viper mini since it's cheaper and very good quality, if you like that then you'll probably like the lamzu and pulsar X2 if you want a wireless mouse
how on earth did i get this recommended right after going from a Logitech g502 to a G pro x superlight and consistently overflicking ever since
😂😂 RUclips knows what to recommend
I knew the mousepad could be affected by humidity. There are just some days where my mouse feels so slippery without changing any settings at all.
Yeah it's common with some cloth pads, hard pads are less likely to be affected because of the materials
a coach of a pro said a glass mouse pad would in theory be the best because of the consistency of the glide making you know exactly what the mouse will do with your sensitivity but the learning curve is too big thats why people hesitate
It is definitely more consistent than cloth, since cloth is affected by humidity and can change speed over time
You also forgot that there is a DPI deviation, so you can´t trust the settings someone has unless you have the same mouse and mousepad, cause it varies through mouse and mousepad. For example overhyper finalmouse has insanely high DPI deviation over any other mouse, so if you would like to say, copy Tenz settings, not only he plays on one of the lightest mices, it also has higher dpi deviation.
Yeah I agree, I forgot to mention it in this video, i may need to make a video about dpi deviation, your thoughts?
I found a secret hideouts the duck pic lol. Nice one!
What do you mean?
Equipment matters and alot of people overlook it. Probably because it's been normalized that most players have mid to high end mice. Pad and grip style is something that also takes time to figure out
Yeah I used to think it's just the mouse, but the mousepad can really change the feel depending on what material it is
not to mention different lasers inside the mouse give you differnt distances per inch even with the same dpi as another mouse.
Yeah I agree, i forgot to mention it in this video, I'll probably make a video about dpi deviation
We use so much of the similar skins I use Ion Phantom, RGX Vandal and Ruination Ghost
Also talk about the difference between the size of the mice I have a viper mini and tried gpx superlight and the viper mini is still better for me
I tried to make the video as short as possible, I could potentially make another video talking about the things I didn't mention
@@fps_fox that would be good, cuz u dont talk bs u know
I use a higher DPI on larger mice to allow for more inner hand motions than on mice that don't sit as far back in the palm. That is something about dpi a lot of people don't consider.
do you mean to make micro-adjustments or to move down since you have palm space?
I feel called out. I used to use 0.2 800 dpi on a g592 hero cabled and a roccat taito mousepad
Nice how is the mouse and pad?
@@fps_fox I don't use it anymore, I climbed to around D3-immo 1 (Before Ascendant was added) and constantly had wrist pain in my right wrist since I also play drums and basketball
@@fps_fox I use a g pro wireless with ice skates and hien mid xl
@@fps_fox and play 0.27
used to play on rival 3 which is 77 grams and got a g pro x superlight which is 63. played on .55 800 so i counted that i should use around -15% from my basic sens. so now i use 0.467 800 dpi.
Let me know how it goes!
@@fps_fox pretty well now but something felt off and i did the math again and it turned out that i have to change it to 18,1%
It's so sad that he doesn't do videos anymore😢😢
I'm back, just uploaded :)
Really hard and painfully when your mouse in 112g, with 0,34 and 800dpi... So i'm using 0.7-1.0 and 600dpi just like using 0,34 and 800dpi but in heavy mouse
As long as you're comfortable with it that's what matters
I play on 0.18 sens and have the Logitech g pro super light and a glorious mousepad and I can assure you that it makes a big difference. Even if you play on low sens, you can do flicks and stuff easily
it definitely can !
Reduce the Hz? Are you high? That's like saying, use 60hz instead of 144hz
shape over weight is what im going for in a mouse and if the mouse is heavier im switching to a faster pad
I agree shape is more important than weight
this is sooo true, im currently living in a diff city n couldnt bring my setup w me so im playing at a pc cafe, the mouse is smaller n lighter and the pad is a hardpad when mine is a clothpad, had to lower my sens by quite a bit
Yeah it really does make a difference!
Thanks for the video!
what's your rank? May be we can play together
mice also have dpi deviation, basically they arent accurate always (especially model 0 2)
Yes I agree
well explained 👏👏 GG
Thank you I appreciate it 😊
