I just picked one up on sale from Amazon to replace the Xiaomi Mi Box (3) we had in the bedroom. I'm a fan of the Android TV OS, and we're on the Google ecosystem, so I was looking for an Android TV 4K streamer that wasn't going to cost as much as the Nvidia Sheild TV we have in the living room. So far I like it. The two things it has going for it is showing you what is across multiple streaming services, and number buttons. Number buttons you say?! I am able to integrate the local channels from my HD Homerun and Pluto TV into the Live Channels app - which you can do on most Android TV boxes. However, with the number buttons I can type in a channel number instead of having to scan the whole TV Guide and get to a specific channel. That's a pretty nice feature when there are over 250 channels.
I also bought one of these the first day they became available and wasn't impressed, however bug fixes and better app integration with the TiVo Stream app have since improved the device. I like it now for a front end @ Channels DVR, primarily because most of those "extra" remote buttons can be re-mapped to Channels DVR, which provides a much better user experience with channel up/down buttons, quick launch buttons @ TV guide and live TV, plus the option to quickly switch to a specific channel using the number buttons. We can also easily toggle back and forth between two channels by simply pressing the "Live" button, which is a feature we missed since ditching cable several years ago.
The chrome cast Ultra power supply/Ethernet device works with it through the micro usb. Never setup WiFi and at least that worked. But I agree with all your other points.
I have a TiVo Stream 4K I bought it when it got released and I'm loving it so much :) The company said in the future you will be able to use the usb c port to hook up an external storage device.
I liked mine so much I ordered a second one. It should be here soon. I am not picky, I already have TiVo OTA, but yes this TiVo branding is definitely confusing. Since you can only access tivo+ junk and their favorites list. I'd at least wish it could run the Android mobile TiVo app for recordings. If it just played the recordings the TiVo mini would be safe and not completely cannibalized. I already had a Chromecast ultra and I basically swapped it for this and now I basically get 3 things in 1 HDMI port plus a remote for my Chromecast, you don't see that much with the Chromecast devices.
I have my Samsung usbc adapter and a thumb drive working just fine. Haven't got a hub to work yet. No offense to Lon, but you're saving $20 to be a beta tester. It had a firmware update on start up and will get more. Would love to see how many day one new devices he's tested and slammed. I'm as techy as the next person, but I at least understand it's a first device for them and will give some leeway. It's still cheaper than buying a Chromecast Ultra and has a much bigger upside if and when it improves.
No CEC control setting, ethernet adapter doesn't work with this device as well. Tivo really dropped the ball on this device. Lon did an excellent job reviewing this device. This device forces you to log in with your Google account and a Tivo account. I don't have to do either with my Mibox s.
Also the guide feature could also be used with Hulu live and You Tube Tv. You can also use an application called button remapper and change some of buttons to do other things. I have the guide button opening Tivimate, the Tivo button single press opens Tivimate/ long press opens default Tivo Stream and the 123 buttons are rwd/play/ffwd
I was able to get ethernet to work on the device so it's not a complete firmware limitation. Even though the device stays in HDR I had no issues with non HDR content on Plex or streaming services. Plex did transcode True HD down to DD+ 7.1 so that was nice, Emby doesn't do anything with surround sound on the device. Everything comes through as PCM 2.0. I really liked the device as a first try for Tivo. Let's see how they support the thing. Although Lon was kind of harsh, I can't disagree with him that a wait and see should be in order for most people. For the device, addict, I think most of his followers probably are, I think it's an irresistible bargain at the price and the potential.
I agree with much of what Lon stated. The entire point behind anything TiVo is to have the "aggregator" functionality - the one-stop-shopping of content appearing in one bucket, regardless of the origin of that content. Without this feature, TiVo is just another streaming device. I've been a TiVo guy for many years and currently have the BOLT cable version. There is a BOLT OTA. The BOLT will "monitor" cable (and OTA, depending upon model) and streaming services for content and provide in "My Shows" the list of your desired content that it has either recorded on its DVR or bookmarked from a streaming service. This is fine and exactly what the average TiVo user wants. This costs $13/month or so for this service. Not cheap but worth it to me. My view on the Stream 4k is simple. If TiVo would expand the streaming services it supports on the BOLT series, the Stream 4k is unnecessary, IMHO. The two major problems with TiVo Stream 4k is that it is too integrated with Sling which does not do local channels and does not support CBS, CW, or PBS. It's DVR is limited to 30 hours. You cannot switch-out the Sling function for something like RUclips TV which would solve the problems with local channels and missing networks just mentioned. Additionally, the streaming services it supports for its aggregator functionality are very limited. Where is CBS All Access? PBS? I've had the TiVo Stream 4k for one-week today. My decision is to hold on to the unit in the hopes software upgrades will improve functionality. I cancelled the Sling account but apparently at 9 days - 2 days beyond their 7 day free trial and they would not refund my $35. The Sling account trial started from when I signed up and not from when the Stream 4k arrived, so I am out the $35. No convincing Sling otherwise. In the meantime, I am back to my BOLT cable and my Roku unit. My goal is cable cutting. I had high hopes for the TiVo Stream 4k but it's not there - yet.
How does Tivo Stream 4K add up today, a year later? Has anyone tried Locast on Tivo Stream 4K? How does it integrate? In particular, are you able to scroll the Locast guide and select channels with the Tivo Stream remote? I can't get OTA and I am trying to get it as simple as humanly possible for the family.
Overall in my experience it does a great job! It does work for retro gaming as Ive installed all the basic systems on my device and they work as expected.
Thx Lon, I was thinking of getting 1 for my oldest barn but seeing how bad it does with Plex ill just got get an Android box. But I am still glad I waited to see your review once again great work young man!! Cow}:-o)
@@PH96Official Meh I dont know, but they have some TDP 15w chips like the 4600u that would not be hard to cool (guessing). I just wonder how that would compete against the tegra x1. We are talking about something that plugs into the wall so power consumption is not as critical as cooling.
I bought a TiVo Stream 4K and I think the review here is totally spot on. It’s OK, not great great and probably not worth `$50 USD let alone ~$70. It needs work, has some noteworthy bugs and can be choppy in general use. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Oh and definitely issues if you use a receiver for audio. Several bugs that do not allow you to change the volume button to a different device. There is a way to change it. But will not allow you to save. Thought it might be a nice travel device whenever that happens again.
This is a brand new device and well worth the 50 bucks. No its not a Shield and why compare it to one. Its still better than a 4k Firestick, Mibox and Jetstream 4k. Im sure there will be updates. This device is very promising as it is the future of their company. I wouldnt doubt if they come out with a Pro version soon.
I received the Stream 4K yesterday and the USB port is de-formed so I cannot plug in a USB cable. I contacted support and was told I would receive a replacement after I returned this one, but I have to pay $12.30 shipping fee. It is unacceptable that I have to pay to return their defective product. I got nowhere with the support person so I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and after a long wait finally got connected and after going back and forth she finally agreed that I would pay the shipping fee and I would be reimbursed within 10 days.
It works well for 4k on the cheap... this guy's review is a bit much for the normal user... some of the "missing features" are not standard on any budget friendly google tv...I brought a second one... 4 months in love it...
The whole Tivo advantage from its first DirecTV DVR back in the early 2000s was the interface. Clean and easy to navigate. Legendary layout and the peanut remote was a breath of simplistic fresh air. So now this Tivo-branded product is using an Android interface which mirrors exactly what I have on my Sony X900F televisions. I"m perplexed why Tivo would even develop such a box and not figure out a way to use its proprietary GUI. The only advantage to this is being able to plug it into my AVR so that I get the best sound codecs. I don't use the ARC on my TV - instead, I funnel all AV sources through my AVR. I can do the same thing with my Roku devices - which, to me, have much better interfaces than this does. So what exactly is Tivo trying to accomplish here? A Roku killer? Not even close. Stick killer? Who cares? A swing and a miss.
Good. Kinda glad I don't have to evaluate yet another streaming device. "Cutting The Cord" has ended up needing an array of streaming devices/services. I use Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire, (and still Dish Network oddly enough, albeit a stripped down subscription) in order to cover most bases. I end up usually defaulting to Chromecast most often due to it's simple operation and reliability, but not without issues. Chromecast not having on-board apps but needing to rely on mobile device apps sometimes causes an issue but overall if it will stream the content I need, I'm usually pretty happy with it's performance.
My little overview after testing. Pros: 1. Android TV. 2. TiVo app brings together paid services. 3. Remote (see also Cons 7.). Cons: 1. Power control (CEC), my unit is connected to AV receiver, it will turn on/off TV, receiver and control receiver volume, but unit is missing Power Control as Nvidia Shield have (also Android 9). When i'm not using it, it will randomly wake up and change inputs and when it goes to sleep it will shut down everything. Power settings needs to be added, otherwise it's not possible use it with receiver. 2. TiVo app doesn't inegrate live TV services like HD Homerun and Pluto. 3. Tivo app TV Guide doesn't have channel numbers, and no Exit, you have to use Home button. 4. Small internal storage, yes, you can add but it's extra cost. 5. No wired internet. 6. You can't remove or move TiVo Stream and Netflix tiles from Favorites first spots. No need them there, both have channels and you can't remove TiVo channel. 7. Remote, 25+ buttons but no dedicated Play/Pause, FF and RW buttons !? 8. Some apps are running slower than on same price class devices. 9. No color effect on main screen like other Android TV devices. 10. No phone app. Conclusion: 3/5, when all software related issues are getting fixed I will give 4/5. Basic official Android TV with TiVo app (similar to Xiaomi Mi Box S). OK device who has many paid streaming services and using basic setup (TV and TiVo Stream 4K only).
Great Vid Lon. I appreciate hearing the tech issues with it as most are touting it as a Firestick killer. Personally I don’t like the sleep and restart missing from settings. The best you get is setting it to sleep in 30 minutes. I do use Sling happy hour from 5 to midnight which is free. Ethernet is a must have.
Thanks for the review - was interested to see if this would be a good android TV add on since my family is familiar with the interface with our shield tv. Thanks for saving me the time and know to move on... :)
Ok so basically the takeaway i have from this video is "if u wanna watch Netflix, disney+, Hulu and RUclips in 4k then just buy it, if you're a crazy person with money to spend just buy an Nvidia shield and its great" Not insulting u lon, I like your content, just that what I understand from this vid is that if I just wanna stream stuff I should, buy it
Even after your view, I ordered the device as it is recommended by pretty much every other RUclipsr that has reviewed the device. I do get your point about the limitations, but I'm not looking to replace my Nvidia Shield. Hopefully some of the issues noted can be resolved with software updates!
Hello everyone, I have a problem with the tivo 4K: When pairing bluetooth headphones without volume control, I cannot vary the volume with the remote control. Does anyone know how to fix it? I have tried it on other TVs and the result is the same. Thanks for reply and best regards. The headphones are the Realme buds Air pro
I get it , its not a shield pro. But it is superior to Fire Stick and Roku in many ways and quite frankly I like it better than the SHield TV for most cord cutters - I have added 64G Adaptive storage and a 1 TB HD for media.
Would you consider revisiting the TIVO stream device? Have things gotten any better in the last two years? Can the Stream app keep track of what episode I’m on across the services? I’m hoping it’s gotten better since this review. However as a long-time Tivo user I’m keeping my expectations in check. ;)
👍👌🇨🇦❤, thanks for the review Lon, because I fully agree with you, the Tivo ranks up there with the SuperBox, just crap, and only really has 4 gig of storage, full of bloatware, and only availble in the US at present, none available in Canada or the UK
I don't know Lon, you started with "do not buy this!"... ...but then the reasons you listed are, in a way, niche problems. Lack of Plex lossless audio? No ethernet through USB? Problems switching from one HDR mode to another? For users who are THAT much into tech, they're probably going to buy an Nvidia Shields for every TV. Then, the guide and streaming organizer app only does Sling TV. I agree this isn't ideal, but if you can download the other streaming TV apps, you can just use those as standalone programs. No other device had ANY organized app like this, so anything they do is a bonus anyhow. For $50, I didn't hear anything about lagging, crashing, lack of apps, network connection problems (aside from the lack of ethernet)... Or any other deal breakers. If this thing's ONLY problems are associated with ethernet and plex, I'd say this isn't a definite no buy. Confusing. I was totally going to buy one, then totally wasn't based off your first 5 minutes, now I think I will anyway because nothing you mentioned means anything to me on my SECONDARY TVs. For the 75" HDR 4K TV? Nvidia Shield. For the other non hdr, or 1080p TVs, in the house this looks like it's plenty for most people.
@@LonSeidman I'm your audience 😛 not a deal breaker for me! I'll bet there is a higher percentage of me out there than you think. I have a 75" 4k HDR 120hz Sony TV with 5.2.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound running from an Nvidia Shield, PS4 Pro, Switch, etc (all on 5ghz wireless). I use every popular streaming service and I am ticked when I don't get HDR or 4k from a service. I think THAT'S your audience. People using Plex and Ethernet, in my opinion, are more rare than the above average user like me. I LOVE your videos, but I'm going to have to disregard this one. Keep up the great work 👍
Dear Plex, consult LonTV when you design your device for the market (which will kill the rest!). This is what I am thinking.. Plex needs a device, plenty of Ram and expandable, expandable storage, processor power etc... People don't care about the price for the real deal... Thanks for the reviews Lon.
Recent Firmware update made some improvements, still debatable at ~$50 USD and definitely not worth ~$70 USD IMO but performance is better then the initial release. Some bugs were squashed too.
Fair assessment of a product with some potential but was rushed out to market before it is truly vetted. On the other hand, sometimes companies can see their foibles in the real world and work through them .We can hope this is what Tivo id doing.
The Maxwell GPU found in the Tegra X1 in the Nvidia Shield. However no HDR RUclips with that. Then comes the ARM Mali-G52 GPU found in various AMLogic S922X devices. And after that is the ARM Mali-G31 GPU which is noticeably faster and more powerful vs the now pretty old Mali-450 series.
The audio pass-through isn't something most worry about and the ethernet complaint isn't valid either in regards tostreaming high bitrate movies over Wi-Fi. I'm a Plex user and I regularly stream 20 megabit plus video over my Wi-Fi without issue. Maybe double-check that you have direct play enabled instead of transcoding. For a $50 device it's far better than a firestick and actually runs Android TV which is what the shield runs.it may not have Shield power hardware specs but it's a device that fifty bucks so you get what you pay for. What you do pay for is basically the best streaming device available for fifty bucks.also a great feature this has the only this has is the app from TiVo that will consolidate all of your streaming services into one easily browsed interface.to get a similar feature happening on my shield I have to use a third-party app called ReelGood or JustWatch. Very nice that they have that built in. Not sure why the review was so harsh, maybe you're just the TiVo hater and prefer your hdhomerun instead sounded quite biased. Nitpicking Minor details for things that few people plan to do with itto try and justify that it's somehow a bad product wen what it does do it does very well and it's a device for fifty bucks.you can even connect external storage because it runs Android TV and it will use the Android TV adopted storage feature just like the shield does so you can expand the storage to whatever you want. For fifty bucks I doubt you'll find a better streaming device out there.this thing has features others don't, runs for Android TV which will give you a continual updates and support for years to come.I see this product is nothing but a big win for the consumer. I don't have onebut I would absolutely love to know how I could get a hold of that TiVo app that comes build in. It seems as though its proprietary only on this device which is a bummer because I already have a shield so I'm not going to be buying one but for fifty bucks this is the best streaming box available.the hardware maybe underpowered but if you want power for hardware you will be getting an Nvidia Shield. As long as people know what to expect and plan on using it for some simple streaming only activity, perhaps in a bedroom or guest room Etc this is a great product.
Anyone out there know if this tivo 4k dongle can integrate (upload somehow) the guide info from a Roamio with lifetime service if I connect the two together via usb port? Or plug the tivo 4k dongle's hdmi into the Roamio?
I got the ethernet working. Used a usb 3 with hub dongle to a USB A to C adapter. It worked no problem. I could not get a USB C ethernet Dongle to work. I figured it was defective and was going to try another, but it it doesn't, I'll just stick with the adapter.
Besides Channels Everywhere "DVR", someone should be working a one app that integrates all apps into a single guide. If you think about it, I'm still going to pay the streaming services for my subscription, RUclips TV, HBO Max, etc, etc. Something is going to have to change in order for streaming services to evolve, it's the wild west right now for companies to get their own subscription service platform up and running.
I had it . it went back the next day . after I turned it off 5 min later it would came back on by it self . Then lose internet access every 1 hour all so it would change the hdmi input by it self
If you dont use Plex it sounds like a fair device, love his honesty on stuff, but would really like to see a review done by someone who isnt using Plex before I make a opinion on the box.
Did I actually hear him talk about it weighing too much in the first 10 seconds? Yeah I can tell where this is going to go. 1st gen 1st week nitpicking. Just plugged mine in and it is immediately my primary, it is freaking cool. That is If your HDMI can handle the weight. And if the box wasn’t so square (did you know if a TiVo box hits you in the eye you can go blind!).
@@davidrucker2708 exactly... Because it's so difficult to throw a piece of velcro to secure it on the back of the TV. I pretty much started tuning him out at that point.
Is the remote compatible with NV Shield? Even the updated NV Shield remote doesn't have everything I want and is not super reliable. I'm looking for a Shield remote that also has an TV input button + Google Assistant and this TiVo remote seems to be the only one that does. Edit: Nevermind, just noticed there is no play/pause, FF, and Rewind buttons
@Lon did you really expect HD Audio, auto Frame Rate and Resolution matching support on basically a cheap internet streaming device. ? What is unforgivable is the lack of pre release Firmware testing done on the TiVo Stream 4K. Stuff like permanent HDR or DV outputs should have been easily picked up prior to widespread sale if TiVo testers were any good. Which obviously they are not. There are more issues you have not touched upon regarding very annoying show stopper HDMI CEC problems that are exposed in all their gory detail over on the TiVo - Reddit. TiVo Stream 4K in it's present state is running Beta Firmware, and Joe Public are bug testing it for them.
If you going to stream you going to love tivo 4k way better than a firestick 4k And mi box s. tivo 4k Super Faster. Is just like the new mi box stick 2g ram. Both going to have the same chipset. I'm sticking with my TiVo 4K.
Boss. You're going to love the remote. For $49 remember on their website. I like it better than my Nvidia Shield New Remote. Harley don't play games. Boss TiVo 4K it's enough for me excellent device for streaming. And is Google Certified. So that mean it will have future updates. You'll be happy believe that. So Boss take care be careful out there where your mask wash your hands. God bless you and your family
Ethernet does work by the way, using this one: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1X28F1/ , it's not gigabit but only 100 and it even connects to the USB C (with adapters) and powers up the unit and wired connections work. For the price, this is a good Android TV box, especially for secondary tv's.
I ordered one at launch .. really loved it! I'm ordering a second to replace my Roku express. This thing is lovely and I can't wait for them polish it with updates down the road
I wonder if you can use the remote on other devices though. Might get my in-laws off Dish Network. They are really traditional and just want to hit GUIDE to see their channels. RUclips Tv and Sling have way more button pushes than they want lol
Disappointed! Basically a Sling Android Box with the TIVO name, the rest of the legal live streaming services seem to be blocked or unavailable, including the TIVO app if you have a TIVO box.

I got nowhere with the support person so I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and after a long wait finally got connected and after going back and forth she finally agreed that I would pay the shipping fee and I would be reimbursed within 10 days.
So which android TV device do you recommend?
Most of these issues have been fixed. You need to update this to reflect that. Just saying..
Can u get the now tv app on tivo streaming media 4k?
It works well for 4k on the cheap... this guy's review is a bit much for the normal user... some of the "missing features" are not standard on any budget friendly google tv...I brought a second one... 4 months in love it...
I agree. I just picked one up and I like it over the Mi Box we have. The Nvidia Shield is still the KING though.
Can You Get Philo Streaming Service On Tivo Streaming 4K Device? Thank You . from South Louisiana.
Honestly surprised that Tivo still supports Dolby anything considering that their new parent company, Xperi, also owns DTS.
You have posted this comment on every youtuber who reviewed the Tivo 4k 🤣🤣🤣
Well done Lon, top shelf info as usual ! Thanks ! Cheers ! the snazz !
this device needs a reboot from the review standpoint.... it has changed dramatically from the botched launch
it's weird hearing him say don't buy this when I keep staring at the product seeing Lon's own logo on it.
He's had several reviews that he doesn't recommend and then goes into exactly why. This is why lon is lon.
Ok so basically the takeaway i have from this video is "if u wanna watch Netflix, disney+, Hulu and RUclips in 4k then just buy it, if you're a crazy person with money to spend just buy an Nvidia shield and its great"
Not insulting u lon, I like your content, just that what I understand from this vid is that if I just wanna stream stuff I should, buy it
Will it work with sideloaded xcloud and GeForce now?
Even after your view, I ordered the device as it is recommended by pretty much every other RUclipsr that has reviewed the device. I do get your point about the limitations, but I'm not looking to replace my Nvidia Shield. Hopefully some of the issues noted can be resolved with software updates!
For $50 its a bargain for those looking just to stream content yet everyone's experience will differ and point of view
how does it compare to xiaomi mi tv stick?
However as a long-time Tivo user I’m keeping my expectations in check. ;)
I'm glad I watched this video before purchasing. I already have two Tivo's and a 4k firestick. I can see that I don't need this.
You mentioned gaming limitations, but can this run the cloud platforms like xcloud and stadia smoothly?
It should be able to handle those. When they do some software updates we'll revisit those use cases .
Can you access network share to access external content on Kodi?
Is it me or does the virgin media tv remote look identical to that haha, none the less great video!
They should, VM uses Tivo products.
@@igeekone oh yeah i forgot about that haha
Lon, did you try any other USB-C accessories? I think the port does'nt do anything at all ATM; no extended storage nor even external storage at all!
It can power the device though.
I love the honest reviews you give and love the videos. Thank you
Always appreciate the honesty reviews. 👏👍
Tivo said that there working to fix the HDR issues also as someone with a non HDR tv it does not matter to me if the HDR is bad or not
👍👌🇨🇦❤, thanks for the review Lon, because I fully agree with you, the Tivo ranks up there with the SuperBox, just crap, and only really has 4 gig of storage, full of bloatware, and only availble in the US at present, none available in Canada or the UK
I have a Tivo OTA and was just wondering if it works with that. It would be nice to be able to view content from my Tivo from another TV in the house.
It does not at the moment
works fine now there was an update
For my audience these things are deal breakers
Keep up the great work 👍
This is the kind of quality content I come here for.
Does it support additional storage over the usb-c port?
Yes it does
Hey Lon, does the HDR locking only apply to Plex or to all content? - Reese A.
U hit the nail on the head they need to push out software updates asap
Dear Plex, consult LonTV when you design your device for the market (which will kill the rest!). This is what I am thinking.. Plex needs a device, plenty of Ram and expandable, expandable storage, processor power etc... People don't care about the price for the real deal... Thanks for the reviews Lon.
Are you going to review the Chromecast With Google TV?
Recent Firmware update made some improvements, still debatable at ~$50 USD and definitely not worth ~$70 USD IMO but performance is better then the initial release. Some bugs were squashed too.
Any idea what it streams RUclips at? Amazon is 720 :-( and great honest review!
2 other problems: Can't connect shared network resources and 4K at 60hz. My Nvidia Shield can do both.
Fair assessment of a product with some potential but was rushed out to market before it is truly vetted. On the other hand, sometimes companies can see their foibles in the real world and work through them .We can hope this is what Tivo id doing.
what the best GPU for tv box mali 450 or g31 mp2
No, it’s not possible.
I'm gonna watch Star Trek Voyager now, I was running out if things to watch during these interesting times...
So a fire stick tv is better?
I had it . it went back the next day . after I turned it off 5 min later it would came back on by it self . Then lose internet access every 1 hour all so it would change the hdmi input by it self
This looks like it was rushed out, it had potential but is missing so many things that is not worth it.
Were can get one to buy jailbreak
I love mine - better than the Amazon Sticks
Best reviews always my go to
Hi Lon, would you please review the Dynalink STB
I'm waiting for the one that I ordered, you're making think I should return it when it arrives.
If you dont use Plex it sounds like a fair device, love his honesty on stuff, but would really like to see a review done by someone who isnt using Plex before I make a opinion on the box.
Tech Nerd mine has shipped 😳
Oracle331 try it first he is nitpicking
Did I actually hear him talk about it weighing too much in the first 10 seconds? Yeah I can tell where this is going to go. 1st gen 1st week nitpicking. Just plugged mine in and it is immediately my primary, it is freaking cool. That is If your HDMI can handle the weight. And if the box wasn’t so square (did you know if a TiVo box hits you in the eye you can go blind!).
@@davidrucker2708 exactly... Because it's so difficult to throw a piece of velcro to secure it on the back of the TV. I pretty much started tuning him out at that point.
Does it run stadia ?
Is the remote compatible with NV Shield? Even the updated NV Shield remote doesn't have everything I want and is not super reliable. I'm looking for a Shield remote that also has an TV input button + Google Assistant and this TiVo remote seems to be the only one that does.
Edit: Nevermind, just noticed there is no play/pause, FF, and Rewind buttons
Have you ever tried beelink or buzz box
I have the BeeLink GT king I really love it works good 4Kmovies without buffering expensive but it’s worth it
@Lon did you really expect HD Audio, auto Frame Rate and Resolution matching support on basically a cheap internet streaming device.
Yes
So it's worth buying for the remote 😂
I had it the remote is the same size of a roku remote
@@kc8pdr I was just thinking it might work for my Xiaomi Mi Box S
It's worth it going to love the remote.
I've been looking into getting a Navida Shield 😎
Anybody got the stream apk? Like to see if it works with shield tv
Hi! thank for the video! Can you make a teardown of this device? I have the same hardware but without usb-с port and i want to restore it
thank you for the info i will save my money thank you.
HDHomerun work on this????
Yes. You can also add it to the Live Channels app.
I ordered one at launch .. really loved it! I'm ordering a second to replace my Roku express. This thing is lovely and I can't wait for them polish it with updates down the road
Ahhhhhhh I was waiting for this lol
I wonder if you can use the remote on other devices though. Might get my in-laws off Dish Network. They are really traditional and just want to hit GUIDE to see their channels. RUclips Tv and Sling have way more button pushes than they want lol
I got AT& T tv now, I can't put that on an Android TV device but I can watch HBO Go on my Shield.
Love mines work well for me..
Can you review the glap controller
Disappointed! Basically a Sling Android Box with the TIVO name, the rest of the legal live streaming services seem to be blocked or unavailable, including the TIVO app if you have a TIVO box.
uhh, what? any app can be downloaded from the play store, and others can be sideloaded.
