Not really...Haunted is one of my favorite metal albums of all time. It is sad that Six Feet Under had gotten worse with each new album. Only the first 3 are good and only Haunted is great.

Amazing review I just did it one at my channel in spanish. Do you agree that Brian Slagel its in love with this band? Unbelievable, 35 years and still in Metal Blade. Respect from Buenos Aires Argentina
Chris Barnes looks like the combination of Doofenshmirtz from Phineas & Ferb, Emperor Belos from The Owl House & The Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons mashed together but instead of coming with 99.9% genius inventions, causing a massive genocide to innocent civilians all because his own brother got a hot GF, and running a pretty decent comic book store those 3 people mashed together and just think to themselves, “hey let’s write terrible death metal songs and make them sound like we’re trying to take the biggest IHOP dump.”
They're not even that bad... Also that joke, if you can even call it that, is the most unfunny shit I read in a week. They're a solid band objectively speaking.
Warning? You're acting like anyone who listens to SFU will immediately get a brain aneurysm. Stop hating it just to fit in, you don't have to like th music, but I highly doubt you ever took the time to listen to SFU, and I'm not talking about Nightmares of The Decomposed, which was a shitty album indeed, I'm talking about this, Killing for Revenge, and their best work like Unborn, Haunted, 13, Undead... People like you just want to hate because everyone else is hating.
Hey, at least they’re consistently bad. You gotta give them that. Also, I would love for the next Graveyard Classics album to be a Christmas album. Hearing shitty death n’ roll covers of songs like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree would be so ironically entertaining.
Hi Everyone, Melthony Meltano here and it’s time for a review of this new Metal Meltdown Review for Six Feet Under’s Killing for Revenge. Here we have a brand new review from Known Canadian, Alcoholic, Metalhead, RUclipsr, The Gop Slopper himself Mr. Metal Meltdown. It’s been years since his last Six Feet Under review which has been one of his most iconic and career defining projects. He is very well known for his parody Chris Barnes EEEEEEs at this point and has become one of the channels memes. So did anything change with this sequel???? Not much, a lot of the things he hates…. He very much still hates. Chris Barnes sucks, it’s generic/lazy but one thing that did change is no EEEEs Now I will say Metal meltdown has noticeably calmed down compared to before but don’t let that distract from the fact there are no EEEEs on this album a huge tragedy. I say I like Melty’s point of bringing up this is for the better. If there is one thing I didn’t like. I really think the use of slang like Slay is very well used and unique. Not words you will always hear in a metal meltdown review. However the peaks of this review just Can’t match the hilarious, iconic meme-like status of the nightmares of the decomposed review. Then not to mention the worst part of the review….. the Sam Cooke song. It was a huge wasted opportunity, it could have been legendary…. But you didn’t do a Chris Barnes cover of it, just only left the EEEEs at the very end. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. But other than that it was a very very very great review I’m feeling a Solid 8-weak 9 on this thing. Trannnsition Have you given this album a listen? Did you Love it? Did you hate it? What would rate it? You’re the best, You’re the best. What should I review next? Hit the Like if you like, please subscribe, please don’t cry. Hit the bell as well, over here next to my head another video you can check out. Hit the link to subscribe to the channel. Melthony Meltano, SFU Forever.
After hearing some interviews with Jack Owen it sounds like he wasn't big on doing a cover to close the album. Seems to be something the label requested
Compared to the previous it was ok. Someone definitely tapped Chris on the shoulder and said knock of the Ees and just heal your vocal chords until you can do low gutturals again
It’s not my favorite album ever, but it does have some good DM songs on it. At least they mixed Barnes at a lower level on this album so his vocals aren’t hiding what the band is playing.
I actually really like this band but Nightmares was unbearably bad for me. I am excited to say I so far like this one so much more than Nightmares. My issue is every song uses the same trick of having 2 verses and then having a long bridge section with a solo and I felt it get repetitive by the end. It's like they saw the meme that everyone liked the instruments on The Noose and used that formula for every single song. Also Barnes sounds okay, better than I expected I guess.
Look at it this way, this is the first time in death metal history that Vince Locke's art has graced the cover of a shitty album. An accomplishment in itself.

I just knew it would be a good come back Jack is a Genius. Next album will actually be Great if Jack keeps doing what he's doing but lets Chris takeover on writing the lyrics again lol
I'm sincerely disappointed that they somehow managed to improve on their last effort (and I dread to think what kind of bargain Barnes must have made with the devil in order to do this) as Nightmares of the Decomposed was a source of so many fits of laughter that it still cracks me up eeeeeeeven 'till this very day. Oh well, there's always their next effort to look forward to...
Every time I watch your channel I love it even more....I so admire your truthful reviews and comments...you never let me down. I agree with you on the PIG Squeeling...not a fan either😊PS, I laughed my ass off at the Nazareth comments
I just don't get it the suck or no suck .when did cannibal and sfu take over the world anyway not my favorites by any means I'll shut up now lol have a nice day .
"That's not how this video was supposed to start!" it's a video about another shitty Six Feet Under album, even with the cork breaking, that will be the high point, and that sort of energy is expected.
I've heard people say Six Feet Under is basically Chris Barnes' solo project. This was more like a Jack Owen solo project. I will say I love it for that. I wasn't expecting Unborn, and I didn't get that, but I'm happy with the end result. I'm happy the fans like it, I'm happy the haters hate it, and the world keeps turning. I'm still scratching my head about the Nazareth cover, so...yeah. There's that. And the end of the video... Holy shit dude. That was epic. 😁
To be honest, I like this album. Of course I know this is NOT great death metal album. If you want to listen good death metal, obviously better choice Carcass, Morbid Angel, Suffocation, Dying Fetus, Incantation, Immolation, Cattle Decapitation... and so on. But, I like this. Suck what’s become of Barnes. His albums with Cannibal Corpse are classics (for me) and he then his ego ruined him. Fun fact the drummer in my band in 9th was allegedly the nephew of Chris Barnes.
I always thought of SFU as the type o negative of death metal, serious but not serious, there is a lot of fun in their brand of death metal and there’s no denying they are a standout in the genre, as for Barnes vocal , I always kind of thought of him as a chino or a serj because he’s always been kind of unique voice in the genre and like chino and serj is instantly recognizable which is difficult to achieve in the death genre
It's definitely a plate of meat and potatoes. If said plate is week old leftover cheap cuts nuked for 15 minutes in a microwave. And still wouldn't be as over-cooked as Barnes' brain.
Man. How can you even call it the worst death metal album of the year? Just because SFU released some pretty bad albums, doesn't mean they can't redeem themselves or release a good album. Six feet under isn't even objectively bad, it's a solid album and while we all have different opinions, i like it, and I think it's a great album. It's definetely not my favorite album from them, that would be Undead, but it seems like now every metal "fan" likes to shit on Chris and SFU without fairly judging the music. It's pathetic, honestly.
Ok, lets go point by point, because theres a lot here: 1) I called this the worst death metal album of the year because, in my opinion, its the worst death metal album of the year. Barnes vocals remain laughably bad, the music is incredibly bland and generic, and the Nazareth cover at the end is unbearably lame. There is NOTHING else that I've heard from the realms of death metal in 2024 that has come close to this level of mediocrity. 2) They can redeem themselves, I'm certainly not opposed to it, but there's A LOT of work to be done for that to happen. 3) I can't speak for what other metal "fans" do but I DID judge the music fairly and even pointed out some positives in the riffs and production and overall energy of the material. Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good. 4) People disagreeing with you isn't pathetic. It just isn't, honestly.
I avoided this one and yeah sounds like it doesn't have the unintentional comedy of the previous album but I will say this. I'm pretty sure Barnes's voice voice cracks on one of the singles released and that did make me die laughing as I joked about that before the album came out.
Cannibal Corpse is like the class clown in high school that grew up and settled down and everyone still loves him because he's cool and genuine. Six Feet Under is the loser who thought he was cool but in reality people couldn't stand him and still acts like an buffoon in a pathetic attempt to recapture his "glory days".
Allen West (ex-Obituary) was in that lineup, I think having him on guitars helped out immensely. I think their notoriety of being one of the worst death metal bands happened after he left the band.
@@themetalmeltdownofficial I get that’s your opinion but haunted is definitely a great album. Chris was still in his prime when it was recorded . I want to love SFU and I admit that the band isn’t the greatest. But they have some pretty good songs . It’s just the EEEEEE that ruins most of his music . I don’t get how it’s taken about 20 years for someone to tell him to stop. If he quit it with the EEEE and stuck to the low gutturals I think he wouldn’t get so much hate . Also I think the death and roll genre is gimmicky. If he just stuck to classic death metal it would’ve been better . I do think you’re slightly too harsh on Chris in this video. The album is pretty good but I would say it’s not great. People forget that cannibal corpse isn’t as great as it used to be . Sure they’ve released some bangers in the past 20 years but they’ve also released a lot of mediocre shit. The only notable albums are kill, evisceration plague and torture. All the rest are boring and sound very similar. I will admit that corpsegrinder vocals are very consistent at least
I'm convinced that Chris Barnes was never good. Just the inferior technology gave it that harshness and hid alot of the bad. Yeah he tried stuff that other people hadn't. But I think modern production is only bringing out how he's always sounded
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I like them, Maximum Violence is still a great record and to be fair The Bleeding is one of the Best Cannibal records
I love how every Six Feet Under album is "worst death metal album of year X", couldn't happen to a more deserving band.
Can't knock their consistency, I guess?

Dude.. you can sing! I am legit surprised and impressed. Great video as always Uncle Melty 🍻🤘😎🤘
What makes me mad about most Six Feet Under haters is that they refuse to admit the first 3 albums are good, and that Haunted is great.
@@fortheloveofnoise Why should I have to admit to something that I don't agree with, to liking albums that I think are mediocre at best?
Barnes invented meme metal
Still the master too
This is The Worst Album of 2024, Because I Don't Love this Band.
I mean... it's Six Feet Under mah guy, I'm not sure what you were expecting :P
I'm convinced that Chris Barnes was never good. Just the inferior technology gave it that harshness and hid alot of the bad. Yeah he tried stuff that other people hadn't. But I think modern production is only bringing out how he's always sounded
No
Trust me there are way worst death metal albums
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I like them, Maximum Violence is still a great record and to be fair The Bleeding is one of the Best Cannibal records
The only thing missing from the absolute turd that was Nightmares of the Decomposed, is the availability of peanuts that you don't remember eating ...
I think it’s hilarious one of the other reviewers I watched loved the Nazareth cover.
