Amazing review! I own A7 and A6 both in Matte White. I agree with you, 2 big cons are the bottle doesn’t stand on its own and doesn’t have double wall insulation. 1 more annoying thing is when I turn the lid tightly, the next time I want to drink, the seal ring will just come off, other than that, I’m happy with the overal design and stainless steel mouth lid doesn’t smell funky like the plastic one. Great comment - thanks for sharing your experience with me and pointing out the potential sealing ring issue. I have not yet experienced that, but I'll be wary of it. A double walled, free-standing steel Memo bottle might be the bottle of all bottles, if they produce such a version some day.
Why didn't they make them with double wall insulation though? It's just appealing from the design point of view lacking a major function that a $10 nameless bottle has.

I’m glad I saw this video. I’ve been waiting for an a7 thermo memo bottle review but can’t stomach the $70 au price tag. Since your video shows that the bottle doesn’t retain heat I’m just gonna buy the regular memo bottle. It’s $30 au on special right now. 😊
A double walled, flat bottomed memo would be nice to have in the future.

I haven't used the plastic ones. They are cool though.
A product to make a basic water bottle that is a quid in value on the supermarket shelf and reinvented to cost £70 because this bottle is made of regular cultlery metal with some posh paint.
"Oh just look at the container I drink water from" is what the advert is promotimg to the boringly fickle.
