Hi Shayne! I've been sending details including pricing to the early-bird waitlist, so getting on there is the best way to get regular updates about details!
Love that you state the learning curve necessary before you'll be comfortable adding new applications or sites to incorporate. THIS is important, we're constantly learning.
So glad I discovered Sam! He makes learning new technology easy and presents everything very eloquently. Everything is broken down into manageable chunks and connected to our goals as educators in this ever changing world. Sam is my new favorite binge watch.
Excellent, as usual! I couldn't agree more with this quote "Technology integration in our curriculums is undeniably the Future of Education". It's our time to get ready for that. Thanks a lot, Sam!!
Sam!!! You are amazing!!! Please please open more spots for this online course. I’m on the second waiting list. Lol. I love your videos; never feel like you are talking down to me as an educator for not knowing all this stuff! A breath of fresh air in this crazy time
Thank you so much, Theresa! After I take a breath and figure out some next steps in regards to the course, I'll definitely be updating the waitlist on any new details first!
Thank you! I feel like I have a lot of knowledge about technology resources, but I'm overwhelmed with trying to integrate tools in a way that helps students learn and helps me facilitate their process. These steps make sense. I'm usually more worried about the instructional method and digitizing curriculum first. I understand now why I end up redoing things and making more work for myself. I need this as a planning template! Can't wait for your class!
Love the 5 e’s. Discovered them way too late 2 years ago but building every pd session according to the plan since. And your plan makes sense, Sam. Think before you tech.
This is so helpful. I think I'm finally beginning to wrap my head around what you've been teaching! I made my first lesson plan for distance learning, and I think I did a great job thanks to you! 😊
Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to wrap my mind around the changes I need to make to deliver the best learning experience possible for my students even though I'd just scratched the surface of all that is possible. Your videos are so direct and organized that they help mitigate anxiety about prepping for the year ahead.
Thank you again. As we each have our own journey into and through this new tech teaching, I find your information grounding. I know I've got this, but having these videos helps my confidence and helps me stay on the slow and steady course. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for the video. I love the way you've organised it; it makes it so clear to follow and think about how it can be adapted to other contexts.
Sam, these videos are amazing. Thank you for creating this series. Could you please number the videos? I am trying to watch them in order and can't seem to find video 5 and 6. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to taking your 21st Century Class in the future.
Hi Lizabeth, I've finally pulled together a list of all the videos and included them in numerical order in the video description. Here they are as well: 1. We Must Take a Strategic Approach to Technology ruclips.net/video/iCY6e74Izio/видео.html 2. Strategically Integrating Technology: A Goals-First Approach ruclips.net/video/agvnCMuIa_0/видео.html 3. The 21st Century Classroom: Your Questions Answered ruclips.net/video/UWgeDi5ORM0/видео.html
hi and thank you! how can i find videos 1-2-3? this is awesome, I use all the tools you mention but felt overwhelmed as far as how to integrate them. This makes my life so much easier and for sure makes me a better teacher!
Hi Mariel, I'm so glad to hear that! Here's Video 1: ruclips.net/video/iCY6e74Izio/видео.html 2: ruclips.net/video/agvnCMuIa_0/видео.html and 3: ruclips.net/video/6RwtO1BUxYk/видео.html
Hello from Canada! Is there a fee to pay for the course? If so, how am I supposed to do it? Thank you, Sam, for an incredible mission you have taken upon yourself in being an amazing resource/tutor for so many teachers all over the world!
Hi Larissa, yes, there is a registration cost for the course. Have you signed up for the early-bird waitlist? That's the best way to secure your spot because I'll be sending out a link to that email list only one day before registration opens to the public. I'm also sending out emails to that list every couple of days to update everyone with details. You can add your name here: 21centuryclass.com/general-opt-inswrzdp0h Hope to see you in the course!
Hi Cassandra, I think you can get in if you're on the Early Bird and watch your email at 10 AM PST on August 2nd! I'm excited to see you in the course!!
Hi there! I have already enlisted in the Early bird list. However im not sure of the time zone. Could you please let me know this? Because I am from Bs As, Argentina. Don't want to miss the opportunity to thank you for all the hard work you do. I have been following you since the quarantine began. You are amazing!
Thanks! The course is mostly asynchronous with some synchronous features. You'll be able to access all the materials/tutorials/resources after the course ends as well!
Hey! Great, as usual! As I sit here with my legal pad taking even more notes, I am wondering if there's a way to just get your slides so I don't have to...I understand if you need to not do that for copyright and all. Just thought I'd ask. Sure hope I can get in to your class next week!
Hi! Is there a way for you to help me get started with integrating more tech into my classroom. Your ideas are awesome and I would love to do more and learn from you.
My biggest issue now is what my distract has planned as far as setup and then I am watching and listening to so many things I am confused as to what to pick for tech usage. I teach 3rd grade ELA and I know this should be a Win-Win way to have class.
Hi Cassandra, so sorry if the video caused further confusion! I wanted to mention a bunch of apps rather than just one per category just to show how they could be grouped into goal-based buckets, but by no means should you try to use all at once. Your best bet is to start with a foundation and build upon it as you go. That might even mean just starting with comments on Google Classroom and building up from there.
Great video, as always. I have a question about Peer-to-peer work. How do you see that happening if we are 100% virtual? My district has a pretty tight rein on the programs the kids can have on their iPads. I also wonder about letting two (or more) kids talk online with no supervision. Thanks. Doug in San Diego
Hi Doug, in the case of a 100% virtual classroom I think we have to think outside the box about what peer-to-peer looks like. To give an example, you could jigsaw a subject, have students learn about their assigned topic, then record informational Flipgrid videos that other students could watch and learn from. Best of luck with planning this year!
I definitely would not grade all of them! Many are intended to be formative assessment tools that give you real-time feedback, but those don't need to be graded. I only grade summative work such as projects.

What is the cost of the 8 week program? Thank you
Hi Shayne! I've been sending details including pricing to the early-bird waitlist, so getting on there is the best way to get regular updates about details!
Your waiting list has a waiting list! Thank you for these videos! I’d love to take your class
Hi Belinda, yes it's been a crazy couple of weeks! Still, making sure your on the waitlist will mean you're first to get updates as they come!
Love that you state the learning curve necessary before you'll be comfortable adding new applications or sites to incorporate. THIS is important, we're constantly learning.
It's definitely important to strategically implement technology in the classroom, for yourself and your students! Thanks so much for watching!
So glad I discovered Sam! He makes learning new technology easy and presents everything very eloquently. Everything is broken down into manageable chunks and connected to our goals as educators in this ever changing world. Sam is my new favorite binge watch.
