Yes, oh my God, there is something so satisfying about it, and you just wouldn’t think it by just observation, but you have so much more appreciation once you play. Its truly a really terrific sport.
@MUFC I don’t agree with the claim that soccer will be the number one sport in the US. American Football is a huge craze here and it would take a massive shift in culture for soccer to be THE sport in the US.
Yeah I made the mistake of getting my girlfriend into it. I've got 10 years of play under my belt and her stupid eastern european natural tennis player genes and work ethic caught her up to me in one summer. First time we went out I hit 100mph serves at her and this girl who'd never held a racquet was getting those back in play. Never have I been so humbled.
I was at this game. Not the best ever, but wonderful to see this stuff at a grand slam. He played like this all match and his shot around the net was unbelievable.
This is why variety is so much more fun to watch as opposed to just pure grinding on the baseline. There are so many options to make the point interesting.
My favorite part about this video is that the points are presented without commentary. Anyone can see that these points are beautiful, but the fact that you get to discover that yourself without two off-screen people telling you how amazing it is makes it all the better for me.
loving llodra since i saw him playing this match; he got an excellent technique and is some kind of "showman" as well. would be pleased to see him being really successful at the big tournaments!
Wish more tennis players had the skills and variety in their game that these two have :) Fabulous match and played with tremendous spirit by both men - well done Andy and Michael - tennis at its best imo !!!
absolutely amazing game. One of the games i remember so vividly is one between Wawrinka and Gasquet at the french open 2013. You really have to witness that, it was even above the Nadal- Djokovic match which was held a few days later.
People will disagree, but that match was the match of the year. The battle of the one-handed backhands was absolutely majestic to watch. The Nadal-Djokovic was actually not that great. The quality was lacking at times. In the first 3 sets, both players didn't play their best at the same time.
Trust me there are very few people who play like this. He is as fast as Chang, returns like Agassi and serves like Sampras. Maintaining this level is impossible but this is a real genius.
God I love tennis. I played it in high school and it was so much fun. And to watch people play it at the professional level makes all the more exciting. I can't even imagine trying to return the serve of a pro tennis player. And the Williams sisters were my idols when I was playing tennis in high school.
Yeah I agree, I'm in Middle School and I just played last night and then had a lesson. Had another class this morning and I'll have Team Tennis in a few hours.
The point starting at 1:11 is actually just really really funny!!! They are running in every single direction doing all types of stupid and amazing shots! it's such a pity that Llodra couldn't nail the tweener, because Murray would have had to run full-speed back to the baseline to get to that one, probably also with a tweener, and the silly magic would have continued! hahahahahha
+nilbog44 +120clockLow nilbog44 is the more superior one in this argument. If you honestly think that these guys are beating other guys bc of more training you're insane. They all do work their asses off but the more gifted ones (Djokovic) are the ones who are going to be winning
+nilbog44 you don't seem to realize that these guys are crazy obsessed with tennis djokovic was playing tennis with bombs dropping around these guys take it too a level where you're considered crazy by normal people. gene crisis is a thing sure but it can only get you so far
I love tennis .Im not a pro but I love the hustle of the ball coming right back to you. It gives me a challenge at the end of the day.I been hitting every since I was a kid.Now that Im grown it still findss a place within me.Consheitta
Yeah I don't think they understand how the sport is played. You're supposed to stand on the baseline and grunt as loud as you can. What's all the full court coverage bullshit!?
I'm currently in middle school, and I'm really good at badminton😂. The downfall, though, is that there are no badminton teams in high school, but tennis. Now I'm interested in tennis, but it looks different in a way :c Anyone have any advice?!?
I'm a sophomore in high school, when I was in 8th grade I thought the exact same thing lol. I'm on my school's tennis team and it's pretty fun playing (except some people are kind of jerks). I think you should go for it. Badminton is a lot different from tennis, which requires a lot more effort and ability at times, but I'm sure your badminton skills will help you lol.
Thanks =) I'm currently in 7th grade and I didn't expect tennis to be hit on the ground O_O, since once the birdie lands on the ground in badminton, it's a point for the other team, aha
Listen to your coach and by a month or so you'll get the basics and have proper form. Train your reflexes and agility. Keep practicing and you'll be on your way to that first singles or first doubles whichever you prefer.
Nicole Nguyen badminton is very different from tennis. If you start learning tennis, some of your swing habits in badminton may set you off to a rough start in tennis. you will have to learn a completely new form of swinging which you may not be used to.
It's too too good but I am pretty sure the best ever wil be out of some federer and nadal match. the level that they both play is something completely different
Excellent court movement, and Grade A shot selection exhibited here by both players. That crowd definitely got their moneys worth! A great battle for sure, but the Agassi vs.Sampras wars are my favorite!
***** im going partly by that, but also he just wasn't as good as the other three. Being a good competitor doesn't make you one of the top players, skill does and he simply didn't and still doesn't have as much skill.
TheDescendant He's been in the top four in the rankings for more than 8 years now, has a better win/loss ratio than Pete Sampras did! Murray's one of the most consistently dominant players on tour ever! Andy Murray is generally seen as the best player ever to never reach a world No1 rank!
I watched that match live. To the poster who said that the Murray smile to Llodra was missing, try to watch the whole match. Llodra made Murray smile and both had a blast playing Harlem Globetrotter tennis with some points. I just didn't realize that one game was packed with these fun points.
this is sort of entertaining but not high quality tennis. llodra hits lots of stupid gay shots that lead to funny stuff but he misses half the shots anyway
Is that murray smiling? My god.
whosaysimatomato21 Go watch the episode he was in the Mock the Week studio. Laughs all the way.

I love tennis so much. After you start to play it becomes an addiction ! (:
Probably, otherwise this comment wouldn’t be made
Yes, oh my God, there is something so satisfying about it, and you just wouldn’t think it by just observation, but you have so much more appreciation once you play. Its truly a really terrific sport.
@MUFC bruh idc soccer is jus a bunch of kids flopping

you shouldn't confuse the best game with the most entertaining game...this is definitely the latter
VISALMTKR you can be ğhelp
Yeah it's like if their strategy (at least for the green guy) is to move each other then that makes it the best game.
Its both
Well then it is the best in terms of how entertaining it is... lol
Chill out just a title
It's fun too see Murray having a little laugh at the end of the game (and set too) because of how ridiculously good it was.
I was at this game. Not the best ever, but wonderful to see this stuff at a grand slam. He played like this all match and his shot around the net was unbelievable.
Doesn't get much better than this!
This is why variety is so much more fun to watch as opposed to just pure grinding on the baseline. There are so many options to make the point interesting.
That's why doubles are so interesting to watch. Shame there's barely any broadcasts of em.
@@Markovisch this is true. After you've watched singles for so many years, doubles starts to look very appealing
I like the long rallies and hard hitting baseline play, some incredible passing shots and angled shots, can't go wrong.

Llodra and serve/voley rocks! This style makes very beauty points. And thanks to Roger Federer using more serve/voley.

Damn son, that is some wicked rad shit right there.
I never knew tennis was so exciting and hilarious! They're acting like they're a couple of super Saiyans duking it out! I wanna try! Yes I am yelling!
That's is the best game iv seen ever

When you’ve just started watching prince of tennis and you’re like, “is it real????”
Do we know if prince of tennis is the reason Nishikori got in to tennis??
"The Best Game Of Tennis Ever?"
I've seen Deathnote....

Well, where will I watch Tennis's live matches
I love tennis it's the funniest sport to play

TRUE DAT
Basketball is pretty fun as well.
karen irizarry No it isn't, there's nothing funny about it.
Roger That sometimes when your opponent falls it's funny, then you have to ask if they're alright.
This just is not fair for Llodra.
Hi 7 years later
I'm quite sure he also enjoyed that game. Players like Llodra don't die for victory, they are happy even with just the applause of the audience.
absolutely amazing game. One of the games i remember so vividly is one between Wawrinka and Gasquet at the french open 2013. You really have to witness that, it was even above the Nadal- Djokovic match which was held a few days later.

@@rshivesh3212 They didnt? Is that why they had insane stats?
And all that in just one game! Amazing stuff!
Llodra was such a wonderful player. Miss him and the many great serve and volley players like him.
I cant believe i just saw murray smiling ;))
just awesome...
Damn. That was great. Thanks for posting.
What a great game for both teams! This is a very amazing play. More good play, please!
Llodra was the last serve and volley player. I admired him.

Yes OMG they are amazing! They're really hard to do and even harder to get it in the court.
Great clip! It has given me new appreciation for the game. Thanks!
I sure hope the title is correct otherwise I'll need to find new work....
So, did you find a new job after seven years?
Tennis is my lovely sports

JustaMason Glad you found the game. It is also a great way to stay in shape.
***** Not really, actually
MrAlexhandre You must never have played the game. Tennis is great cardio.
Of course I have. It's true it's good for the heart, still not for your balance, your other muscles and your limbs
Damn, I love the backspin drop shot. That one is my fav one. Gotta watch more videos of M. Llodra.
The point starting at 1:11 is actually just really really funny!!! They are running in every single direction doing all types of stupid and amazing shots! it's such a pity that Llodra couldn't nail the tweener, because Murray would have had to run full-speed back to the baseline to get to that one, probably also with a tweener, and the silly magic would have continued! hahahahahha
This is the best game I've ever seen.❤🎾 How is that even possible?
I love how the crowd laughed at Llorda's failed between the legs shot, he was in a world of pain at that stage from all that high intensity chasing!
this is good
The best game of tennis.

I'm using this video for a school project!

Best game? No. Fun game to watch? Definitely. Best game was easily the Djokovic-Nadal final at this tournament. Everybody knows that!
such a good game
Watching tennis calms me down! Especially if Serena is playing!

Clearly you didn't watch the first two sets...
pmenzel86 the first two sets were okay. it would have been better without nole's drama
Yeap...I saw extended highlights...intense but boring kind of play
yaas, the last 2 sets were a complete mess. I have never heard of a GS final ending with a 6-0 set.
Favour Daka I think in the Federer vs Hewitt match at the 2004 US Open Final, Federer won in 3 sets with two 6-0 sets

those were some ridiculous points, great stuff
Wow murray was put to work in each play! Good stuff

Very impressiv!
First time I noticed the way Llodra tricked Murray into thinking he was going to the left at 0:32 . His movement is fantastic.
Amazing Andy 😍
This is the tennis I like to see!
Watching this again because they play tonight in US Open 2013 :)
and this is not some random compilation, this all hapened in one game, amazing..
