This seems less like a what if and just like a pitch meeting for a show that takes place in the MCU "616"

I'm gonna comment here too. I would love to see this. They could add characters like Thor, Lady Sif, Hulk and She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, maybe even Enchantress making her debut (Sylvie doesn't count) as a second villain (who could also be a love interest) and maybe even bring back Jane as a Valkyrie like the comics. Also Angela would be an interesting character and maybe even bring back Kate Bishop for an A-force tease. Obviously I'm thinking very big but anyway, people would probably see it as another She-Hulk series

Enchantress was queer in the comics?

@@AJ-xc4qe don't think so but she would often simp for Thor and because I'm bored of seeing him in the mcu, she could do that for Valkyrie. I mean it's a hypothetical scenario, why not

This is a really long explanation telling you I’m not being derogatory.
One of my biggest adaptation pet peeves is when adaptations swap a part of someone else’s character’s identity without the creators’ consent. Whether it’s race or gender or sexuality or anything else. I always hated it and I still hate it. I don’t care which side of the fandom or just argument you’re on. You have to agree that it’s lazy and insulting.
And this goes to all the fans who say “why won’t Marvel let Carol be gay?” Because they were never intending her to be gay!
By that logic, I have to wonder what Roy Thomas's opinions are on whether or not to make Carol queer. I found an article where he himself reviewed the first movie but he doesn't bring up Maria at all. On the other hand, I just didn't see them that way the last few times I saw the movie. On top of that, Jeremy from Cinema Sins of all people made a great point that the "depiction of the friendship between two strong, independent women that is emotional but not corny is long overdue, and it's about goddamn time that Marvel showed it." That, to me, feels just as rare to see in franchises like the MCU as LGBTQA+ characters are and I wish I wasn't the only person who felt this way.
It’s even more frustrating because Valkyrie, who at the very least had a comic accurate counterpart make a cameo in a Thor Ragnarok flashback AND was queer in the comics, either had scenes of her queerness getting cut or her scenes involving her queerness being vague enough to mean anything.
I just want to make this clear: I hate straightwashing as much as gaywashing or racewashing or genderwashing when the character’s creator aren’t in check.
And I’m already lenient when said character’s identity is touched when their creators are still alive and I’m forced to believe that in the best case scenario, they accept it. Like Star-Lord being portrayed in a comic arc as a polyamorous bisexual or the MCU portraying Phastos as a gay man with a husband when he had a wife in the comics.
There are some exceptions I would accept on "changing" a character's race, gender or sexuality.
      1. The characters' creators give the writers permission.
      2. Create alternate versions of the characters. Like doppelgangers from other dimensions. Or clones raised in different societies.
      3. Create your own version of the character with a different name.
      4. The characters' race or sexual orientation was never made clear even by the creators
      5. Only public domain characters are fine to change up. I grew up enjoying Brandy's Cinderella because it felt less like leftover casting for bad adaptations or clickbait or gaslighting critics as racist and more like colorblind casting. With public domain IPs, anyone can do anything with that IP. But when it comes to franchises companies DO own, some of them are taken advantage of without the creators' consent. Otherwise, I'm fine with colorblind casting as long as the creator is involved somehow. For instance, at least the crew making Percy Jackson had the courtesy to let the author take charge of the production, including casting a black girl to play his white female lead, which makes me even more excited for the show.
If these exceptions were made, I'd be tolerant to Enchantress being queer.
At least the crew making Percy Jackson had the courtesy to let the author take charge of the production, which made the show, in spite of its flaws, all the more better for it.

@@AJ-xc4qe wow that was long. Tbh i never thought that the original creators should be asked because the movies portray a different version, not the original, like a different timeline, as they do in the comics. So as long as they are marvel characters anyone can write them however they want, good or bad. Now it would be nice to have the original creators approval but I don't think it's that necessary. I remember when they showed Namor that the creator did not approved and kinda body shamed the actor and yeah i didn't like the movie Namor either but with the Eternals i didn't really care. And the comics have shown that they are inspired by the mcu, for example making Kamala Khan a mutant.
Think of it like this, there are so many versions of this characters so it's just gonna be one more

What sucks about adaptations is that the majority haven’t consumed the original source material or even heard about it. And however the adaptation portrays the source material, it’s like the new gospel. And the new fans won’t have it any other way. And sometimes, the source material changes the canon just to “appeal” (pander) to them.
